Q: Know any films about a teacher and student relationship?
My friend wants to rent a movie about a platonic teacher/student relationship. She wants it to end with the teacher adopting the student, so obviously the student would have to be an orphan or something of the sort. Any ideas?
A: Maltilda
that's the only one i can think of
Q: What is a good gift to give to my student teacher?
I am the cooperating teacher...my student teacher has done an incredible job and has gone above and beyond. Any suggestions on what would be a suitable gift for a pursuing early education teacher?
A: Here's a good idea: Get a sign engraved with her name on it. There was a kid last year that had the same classes as me and gave these to his teachers(who are now my teachers), just a little thing to put on their desk that says their names. I think that would be a great idea, I don't know exactly where to get one but I think it would help. Good luck =)
Q: What is the law on a student and student teacher relationship?
If there was a student teacher at a school, for a few months and they made friends or whatever with students, then they LEFT the school would it be okay to have a relationship with one of the students then?
I was just wondering cause I don't see the problem with it, but schools seem to have different ideas!
And its not a problem I have! Its just something I was interested in finding the answer to...
yeh i know teachers cant date students, but they arent a teacher anymore, they left!
A: Well the 18 year old issue.
second: teachers cannot date students
Q: Do you find it weird that a female student prefers to confide within a male teacher?
Not in a romantic sort of way but in a father-figure sort of way. High school student, teacher in his late thirties and single. Someone who helps out with personal issues at home and gives support when it's needed. Just wondering because usually questions asked about student-teacher relationships are female-female unless they are romantic. Keep into consideration it's not a romantic relationship by any means.
Student has and confides within friends her own age. I'm just saying with really personal issues.
A: No it is not weird. It is a shame that in this day of scandals a young female and an adult male can not talk without people always assuming it is scandalous.
Q: A question about teacher/student relationships in Australia?
Is it just illegal for a teacher to have a relationship with a student at their own school or does it apply to students of any school? And no, it isn't me or anyone I know, just came up in a conversation last week...
A: In Queensland, under the Child Protection Act, it is illegal for a teacher to have a relationship with any student, even if they do not teach them or are in the same district. This would be a breach of Duty of Care and the teacher would lose their job if the department found out. This is to protect both students and staff. If anyone has information of such an occurrence and does not report it they can also be charged under the Child Protection Act. Hope this answers your question.
Q: How many times can I use Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003?
I have two copies of Microsoft Office 2003 (Student Teacher edition) and I was thinking about selling one to make some money aince they're just sitting around. Can the program be used again on a different computer? or How can I tell if it will work for the next person before selling it? Any information in detail would be very helpful. Thanks!
A: if any of them have been used. and they have been activated, they will have been registered to the computers they was installed on. and if they are install on another system they will need to be activated again..and the buyers might have problems activating them..
anyway why buy MS Office 2003 when you can get a better office package for free... Open Office 2 out shines MS Office 2007 anyway with all the same features and more besides with pprofessional templates
.
Q: What do you think of teacher-student relationships?
I know it is illegial for a teacher to date a minor student but really what what is wrong with it. I mean if the student is 12 or 14 and the teacher is 40 that should be considered illegial. But if the student is 16 or 17 and the teacher is about 12 years older that should be acceptable. Along as the student and teacher keep the relationship civil at school that shouldn't be acceptable. This a constant problem in the US and it should be stopped. I don't really think some teachers who have relationships with students should always be considered sexual predaters. Maybe if the relationship is not sexual it should be legal. Well your entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. Really if the teacher is just 10 to 12 years older it should not make a difference.
A: i think its ok! i got thise huge crush on my algebra teacher n shes like 40 years older than me.

Q: Have you ever liked a teacher more than you're meant to? What do you think of student teacher relationships?
Have you ever liked a teacher more than you're meant to? What subject did he/she teach? How were you? How old was she/he? Why did you like her/him? Did you tell her/him?
What do you think of student teacher relationships?
A: yes, if your single go for it and look into haveing something serious you could learn all kinds of good stuff out with someone experienced.
Q: How could a teacher say "no potential" about a student?
I need your views on this.
A little background info:
Teacher despises student
Student received an 83% 1st quarter, 79% 2nd quarter, and B on the midterm(Student only received those low grades because the teacher grades her writing/tests harder than every other student!)
This isn't right. A teacher is supposed to encourage students, right?
Not to mention this student has an IQ of 140
And is about to go into a full on depression.
A: First of all, whenever I hear things like this I am skeptical that this may not be the whole story and that we are only getting one side of it. With all of the info you provided, maybe the teacher feels that the student (you I assume) is not working up to their full potential for whatever reason. The ball is in your court. I will say to you what i say to all of my advanced students. Stop telling me how wonderful and smart your are. You have to show me. If you indeed have a 140 IQ (skeptical) then you should be getting 100% on everything. That is, of course, unless you have a learning disability or your IQ is not really 140. I will say what I say to every person that comes on here blaming the teacher. Stop focusing on what you think the teachr is doing. Your teacher may think that they tried to encourage you at the beginning and you didn't respond. Or, maybe your teacher is not encouraging. Like I said, the ball is in your court. Start focusing on doing your work and getting 100% on everything.
Q: Whats a good gifts for a student teacher who is leaving today?
My student Teacher is leaving today and i didnt even get her anything so what are some ideas (candles) stuff that she might like for her new house and its her birthday and shes leaving so any deas?? thanks so much 10 points=Best Answerr
A: A letter of thanks and appreciation. Signed by class.
Q: What are some good or bad student-teacher relationsionships you've had?
Im doing an essay on the good and bad things in student teacher relationships, and i need other people's life examples, other than my own. I'd Prefer high school but any other is fine.
A: I had a teacher who had a few favorite students, and the rest of the class was just there. We didn't get help with our work the way others did, we wern't asked to help with special projects, and many other things that I could go on and on about. BUt my best teacher ever, was my 9th and 10th grade math teacher. he was awesome. He was funny, and tried to keep the class awake and alive!!! We always had good communication with him, and we learned tons more than we ever had just because of the good relationship the whole class had together.
Q: What is the best advice a parent/teacher can ever give a student or teenager?
The answers might go into our student website http://school-teacher-student-motivation-resources-courses.com/studentselfhelp.html
A: Give consideration to what your goal is whether this is long term or short term. Find out factually from experts what you need to do to actually achieve this goal. Look at your current actions and decide whether you need to change anything in order to succeed and whether you are prepared to make these changes. If you are then make a plan on how and when you will make the changes, if not start to make new goals.
Q: is it ok for a student to be friends with a teacher after graduation?
is it ok for a student to be friends with a teacher after graduation? like, keep in contact via email and maybe, meet for coffee once in a while? i mean, it's not like they'd exactly be student- teacher anymore, right?
how could the student initiate it? before graduation say, "let's keep in touch"...?
A: I don't really see anything wrong with being friends as long as that's what the friendship is kept at.(Just Friends) A nice idea ,as some teachers just forget all about you once you graduate and vice versa.
Q: Do the Holt Algebra 1 teacher and student editions have the same cover?
I'm looking to buy the Holt Algebra 1 Book, teacher edition, and I'm a bit confuzed because the teacher and student editions have different designes on their covers. I need the teachers edition to be the one that exactly matches the student edition algebra 1 (the newer one with the red cover). Thank you!
A: No, they are not the same cover. If you compare the second and third links below, you will see the color scheme and design difference between the student edition and the teacher edition. HOWEVER, the 2006 edition is red, so, you might want to compare more closely.
