A: Chase is wonderful just bought over Wamu and has tons of atms. I have been with them 2yrs and always great if any problems, which is seldome. They are friendly people and I got my first student cc there too!!! Go check them out!!! :)
Q: Am I eligible for a Student Credit Card?
I am not currently in college, but I plan on going very soon! I was wondering if I am still able to get a Student Credit Card, and if so, which would be the best place to start? Thank you.
A: credcards.maclenet.com - try this credit card offers. They accept everyone, even if a person has bad/no credit.
Q: Do you have to have good credit to get a student visa card?

Q: Can a student get a credit card in India? If yes then how?
Rules for acquiring student credit card.
A: a student can only have a secure credit card, which means you have to have a fixed deposit with the bank and you get a credit limit equal to the amount of fixed deposit. axis bank issues such cards and i think citibank also. check with other banks.
Q: I have a new Amazon Student Credit Card. Do I need to keep a balance on the account to use it?
Just wondering if I need to keep money in my new credit card account. It has no balance right now. So when I buy something do I need to deposit money in that account and pay from it?
A: No. You have a credit card - not a debit card.
You don't need to settle your account until your monthly statement comes. If you wanted, you could just make the minimum payment - but, I really recommend promising to yourself you'll *always* pay the balance in full every month. Why? This article ought to scare the hell out of you!

Q: Whats the best student credit card for me?
OK so I'm currently in a home school kinda thing so I'm not really sure what card I should apply for. I'm 17 so I don't really have any credit at all and I'm just trying to get my credit built up for the future, Please help?
A: For now open yourself up a checking account. When you turn 18, get the Citi mtvU card. You can get points for good grades!
It will take six months after getting the card for you to have a credit score.
Q: I'm 18. Should I apply for a student credit card or become a secondary card holder on my parent's card?
I am looking to build some credit. Right now I have a solid checking account and I am planning to use the credit card only on gas. Which way is going to be the most beneficial to my credit?
A: Your parents can add you as an authorized user to their account and you will still build credit. Every time someone adds you to their account, that account lists on your credit report.
Applying for a student credit card is also a good option. Odds are that you're not going to need a high limit because you're only using the card for gas. Most student credit cards start with around a $500 limit.
Either way both choices have the same result. Although I personally would apply for a card of my own. That way you can develop some tenure with a bank. The longer your accounts are open the better it looks on your credit report.
Q: Which student credit card is best?
I have been trying to start building my credit and need help on deciding which student credit card is best. I have two dept store cards now and a secured card through my bank. Any suggestions?
A: I like Discover and Citibank bank student credit card these cards have no annual fee and have low rates, check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com under student cards.here you will be able to compare them side by side on rates, fees and rewards.
Q: If I get a student credit card, will the school know about it?
I'm getting a student credit card and I notice it asks for my university. Like..will they call the school and tell them I got a student credit card? And let's say I just use the credit card to buy a few dollars worth of merchandise and pay it off in full to establish my credit, i'll just have to pay that amount right with interest? Just curious. Thanks =)
A: They just want to verify that you are a student. If you pay your balance in full each month you won't pay interest. Your credit score will grow faster if you use no more than forty percent of your credit limit. This is because if you don't max your credit cards out, it looks like you are financially sound and a good credit risk.

Q: How do I apply for an amazon student credit card?
I can't find any links to an application. I can only find the information about the card.
A: http://www.amazon.com/gp/cobrandcard/marketing.html?type=S
Click the "Sign Up" button on the left and sign in with your Amazon username/password. The card application should come next. Good luck.
P.S. Make sure that this is the best card for you before you apply. You don't want to apply for too many since credit inquiries can hurt your credit and there are many other really good student cards (I love my Citi mtvU card with 5 points per dollar in rewards at bookstores, theaters, restaurants. Also, you get 5 points per dollar on ANYTHING at amazon because amazon is considered a bookstore no matter what you buy. Pretty good deal if you ask me.)
Q: Do I need a "student" credit card?
I'm going to college next year and I need to build up my credit... what kind of card should I get? Do I need to go through my bank? Or can i just get a Visa? Do I have to get a "student" card? If I pay off the balance in full every month, will I avoid interest? Will that still help me create credit?
A: You have a few options if you're trying to build / establish your credit with a credit card. There's actually a wide variety of credit cards designed specifically for people with poor / no credit. But since you're going to college, I would highly recommend a 'student credit card' instead:
http://www.asapcreditcard.com/student-cards.html
Although both types of cards will help your build and improve your credit score-- you'll pay less fees if you get approved for a student credit card. Otherwise, these are your other options:

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!
Q: can i apply for a college/student credit card if i'm not a student?
i'm out of school now but doesn't really have a credit history. it's really frustrating because i can't get approved for credit because i have no history. i heard college/student credit cards are easier to get approved for. can i apply for one even though i'm not a student. i do plan to go to graduate school in the next year or so.
A: Apply for a capital one credit card, they give credit cards to people without any credit history or limited credit history.

Q: Could I be denied a student credit card (Discover or American Express)?
-Never missed a payment (always paid most or all of the bill before or on the due date)
-3 Credit cards
-6 month credit history on one card
Only problem is I have 14 inquiries on my credit report. How good of a chance do I have to be accepted for a discover or american express student credit card?
A: I'd say if you have three credit cards open and only a six month history on one, your a pretty big credit risk. It basically says you've applied for and received a ton of new credit, but have no real history of supporting debt. So Discover and Amex will surely be wary of giving you a fourth card.
Q: Should I get a student credit card?
I want to get a student credit card, Im in college, and If i do get a card, I want it to have low rates and etc. what is the best?
A: A student credit card is a great way to develop top scores for your future, for when you make your first home purchase.
Here are some secrets you must know.
Carrying balances can and will eventually destroy your credit rating.
The best way to use cards is to use them for things you need like food and gas, and pay them in full each month.
It is 100% an old lady's myth that carrying balances is good for your credit
The opposite is true.
Forget the rates since your goal is to pay in full each month.
You will never pay interest.
Go to bankrate.com and see if you can find a card that offers 1% cash back.
Hotel nights and airline miles never add up to more than 1%.
Cash back is the best - and they always have high apr wich you will never pay a penny of credit card interest your entire life for your 800+ score.

Q: Why wouldn't I be approved for a student credit card?
I have almost zero credit history but I thought that wouldn't matter since it is a student card. I do have a full time job and a checking and savings account, yet I've been denied the Discover student card and the Citi bank student card. Does anyone know what they look for when deciding to approve or deny an application?
A: Talk to the bank where you have a checking and savings account and ask them if they offer a secured credit card. You use your savings account to secure the card.
As to why you would get turned down, it makes no sense if you are applying for a student card. You should have received something from them saying why they denied you. Just make sure they're not saying there's any negative info out there about you. Have you checked your credit report? Good luck.
