Will I qualify for a Student Card if I start an Open University course this year, in order to qualify for the range of discounts that a student card entitles you to.

A: I tried, but didn't qualify... i think it's also the same with student grants etc, as they handle that all themselves too. They will even less be likely to now, as recent events have meant they no longer get the funding they once did..so student loans may not even be an option anymore, and maybe higher fees..

Q: How to get a credit increase from bank of America platinum student card?
How much should I request? I have the card for 6 months, credit limit of $700 and I have never missed a payment. I always pay the balance in full or as close to full as I can. I have already attempted once 2 months ago but was denied because of limited credit history. Is it true bank of america will increase your limit after 6 billing cycles?

A: Don't do it you aren't ready for more credit. If you can't even pay off the current amount in full each and every month for six months you will get yourself in big trouble with a higher limit. Limit your use to 30% of your 700 limit or about $200 or less if you can't afford $200 a month as a payment. Missing even by 1cent paying it off cost you interest and means you are over your head.
