Q: List TFL court fine on UK Student Visa Application?
I paid £100 court fine as I had not swiped my oyster properly on the bus three years ago. Now I need to renew my student visa for a year, do I need to list this in my application? And if yes, will this adversely affect my application? I am really worried, as nothing of this sort has ever happened to me before and I am totally clueless. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
A: I was going to say the fine was paid and it should not show up after three years, but after thinking about it, I'm not sure. Call them and ask over the phone. If they give a straight answer, believe them. If they are evasive in their answer, the answer is that it WILL be a problem
Q: Help with Pharmacy application. Canadian student applying to US pharmacy schools, how does the process work?
I live in Ontario, Canada and I have to register through the pcat website to different schools in the US, but once I've registered there do I have to go to website of each particular school and do like a supplementary application or something? I need help thanks so much.
A: No. Send your PCAT score to PharmCAS. For the non-PharmCAS schools, you'll have to send them separately. They will send you the supplementary application. Just remember, most schools do not accept international students, and you will not be elgible for any federal financial aid.

Q: when is the deadline for application for student loans if you want to go to university?
i want to go to university on sept 2009 entry and i wanted to know when should i apply for student loans and when is the latest i can apply for it. also how do i apply for the loan?
A: Students and parents who must deal with the high cost of a college education have available to them a wide range of student loans. This article offers details on three general types of student loans. Unlike other student loans, application for a specific Stafford Loan should be preceded by the filing of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA application should be made in the name of the aspiring student.

Like some other student loans, application for the Signature Loan permits the use of a co-signer. In fact, there is a real advantage to applying for a Signature Loan with a co-signer.
Q: Where can I find a Harvard student's application so I can see what they had done to get into the University?
I really need to see this so I can sleep at night with ease! I have been dreaming about getting rejected from my dream college!
A: It would be illegal for Harvard to make these available.
But you can find some statistics. 95% of those accepted have an SAT score of 2080 or higher. 95% are in the top 10% of their HS classes.
Anyone with these kinds of stats would be qualified to get into Harvard. But the fact is that Harvard rejects six to ten qualified students for every one that they accept. If you are qualified, then the application essay is probably what will determine if you get in.
Q: can i still stay and wait for the decision of my application for student visa fter my I-94 expires?
i applied for student visa and i was wondering if i cud stay and wait for the decision even after my I-94 expires?
A: I am assuming you mean that you filed Form I-539 with the USCIS. If this is the case then if you receive your notice of receipt before your I-94 expires, then you can remain, legally, in the U.S. until a decision is reached about your case.
If this circumstance, you would be considered to be in a "pending" status and therefore legal and permitted to remain in the U.S. However if your request for a change of status is denied, you will have no grace period in which to leave the country, you will start accumulating unlawful presence from the day you are denied.
If you do not receive your notice of receipt a few days before your I-94 expires, then I would start making travel arrangements to depart the country, because once again, without a pending status and a valid I-94, you start accumulating unlawful presence and have been considered to have overstayed.
Q: looking for help with my student loans application?
im currently in search of student aid for my next few years of college at wayne state university in detroit, mi. some questions i have are:
do i request money based on semseter? full year? or my entire college duration?
how realistic is it for me to be accepted with no credit?
where are my best options to apply to?
anything else that might be noted?
A: If you don't have enough money to cover the entire school year, then you can request for that. But you have to reapply for financial aid year every year.
Here are the steps you need to take to get financial aid:
1) Fill out the FAFSA. This will determine if you are eligible for financial aid. You can find the FAFSA here:
http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
2) Once you are eligible for aid, choose a government-based student loan. The best government loans to get are Federal Perkins Loans. These have low interest rates and the government will help you pay them back as long as you stay enrolled in school. You also don't need a cosigner or good credit for them. Read more here:
http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/perkins_student_loans.aspx
3) The next best loan to get is a Subsidized Stafford Loan. This has many of the same benefits as a Perkins Loan. Read more here;
http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/subsidized_stafford_loan.aspx
4) If you can’t get a Perkins Loan or a Subsidized Stafford Loan, then try for Unsubsidized Stafford Loans. These are given to all students, regardless of financial need, and you will have to pay the interest while in school, but they are still better than private college student loans. Read more here:
http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/unsubsidized_stafford_loans.aspx
You can also try to get a college grant or a college scholarship, which are both free money sources that you can use to pay for school, and you don't have to pay them back.
You can read about grants here:

Q: I need a proper and intellect response to a question on an application to be in the student government.?
On my application, it says: Why do you want to be in the SGA? (Student Government Association) What will be a way to respond to that question that will make me sound proper and that I know what I am talking about. Answer to this question by telling me what you would say. Thanks!
A: Well why do you want to become a member of student government? Is it because someone told you to? because it looks nice on a resume or college application? Those are good reasons but it should not be the BEST answer.
Take some time and think about it. Think deep. what do you hope to acheive?
When i ran for student gov't it was to change some policies in the school. My college was loosing student space so i ran for student gov't so i could be connected to the people that drafted the policies on student spacing. This allowed me to be hands on with the decision making so that i can benefit the ENTIRE STUDENT body.
That may not be your goal for running but think about what you want to do once you are elected into office. Good Luck!
Q: Where can I find a "Guaranteed Student Loan" Application?
I tried googling it but I get terrible results? Any help would be much appreciated.

Q: Infected with Tubercolosis and treated successfully 3 yrs back: Will it affect student visa application?
A: Yes, it may somehow affect your application, but if it was successfully treated... nothing to worry... what's more important is your present health and medical record today...
Hope it was helpful....
