Q: Are there any college scholarships for students who suffer from psoriasis?
or skin diseases in general. Thank you very much.
A: There are acholarships out there for ever one you just have to find the one that suits you.
Q: What are the pros and cons of colleges giving out scholarships to students in financial needs?
A: Pros: They help poorer but academically qualified students to get ahead.
Cons: They are paid for with tax money or other student's fees. That doesn't matter to me but it might if you are the person that doesn't get financial aid.
Q: External bursaries/scholarships for Canadian students?
My university only offers bursaries/scholarships for students with student loans. Where can I apply for external bursaries and scholarships for Canadian post-secondary students?
A: Try studentawards.com
Q: Are there scholarships available for students who have lost a parent?
I am going into my senior year in High School and my father passed away last year from alcohol abuse. Are there any scholarships available specific to having lost a parent?
A: The best way to find an answer to this question is to research. Google "scholarships" and talk with the financial aid department at the school you attend to see what they offer. If you don't find just what you are looking for then you might find other scholarships you can apply for.
Q: Are there any full scholarships for students to go to any school of their choice?
I'm from eastern KY, I'm looking for a full paid scholarship to any school. Does anyone know of any scholarships I can get that will allow me to attend Cornell, Columbia, Princeton, or UPenn on a FULL PAID scholarship???
A: Most, if not all, Ivy league schools only offer need-based financial aid, meaning the poorer you are, the more you get. The best thing is that it has no effect on your application whether or not you apply for financial aid. I know UPenn offers almost a full ride if your family income is below a certain level. If you're looking for sources outside colleges, it's really competitive. Not a lot of outside sources offer full scholarships but rather small awards. College is an investment, especially going to an Ive League one. Even if you don't get any scholarships, it's still worth going.

I'm planning on transferring to U of M. I am currently a community college student. Are there any scholarships for transfer students going into nursing?

Q: Scholarships or Grants for College Students studying Social Work or Human Services?
I am going to school for Human Services with a concentration in Social Work in Massachusetts. Does anyone know of scholarships or grants for college students in this field? Or where to look?
I am having trouble finding any.
I realize social workers are not paid well...and if I do not want to live in a card board box while paying off huge loans I will definitely need to look into scholarships. :)
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Q: Are there any good scholarships for homeschooling students out there?
I'm a senior in high school and I'm not into sports and stuff and I know that's what most scholarships go to.
A: Of course. Same scholarships as those available to public or private school students. A homeschool student in our area (graduated last year) got a full athletic scholarship from a private school.
Take the PSAT and become eligible for the National Merit Scholarships. A higher percentage of homeschool students obtain these scholarships than do public school students.
Q: where can i find some scholarships for international students?
so I've lived in the United States for about 5 years now, I'm a senior in high school and i come from italy and right now my GPA is 3.6 (considering that my freshman year i didn't speak english and had a gpa of 2.7). I also speak english and spanish fluently and have an act score of 24, but plan on getting a higher one.
the problem is none of the colleges can offer me any financial aid nor scholarship because i'm international, and most of the non-college funded scholarships are for americans only.
is there any way i can find a scholarships???
if i can't go to college in the US i'll have to go back to italy and start from the 10th grade, HELP PLEASE
