Q: What is the youth-oriented programs in the Philippines?
A: Most schools offer Boy or Girl Scouting for their students. Some churches also have a Youth Ministry to cater needs for their young members.
Q: Are there any youth basketball programs in or around Beverly Hills? ?
I'm looking for a basketball program for a four year old in or around Beverly Hills. Any recommendations? Thanks!
A: Yes there are...
Thank you for quizzing me...
Q: Starting social service program for youth?
What are the essential elements of a quality youth program that focuses on Character building workshops?
A: A program that would grab the youths attention. It needs to be something that they believe in. For you it would be something that could build their self esteem. Children in the system need so much character esteem and I think they need programs to focus directly on that. The only way you can build their esteem is to give them something that they can succeed at and actually feel good about their success. The project should relate to something of their interest so they again, will want to focus on it and feel that the project is "their" project. Let it be an experience for them to take with them and carry on in their life.
To get idea's talk to different youth and ask them, if they had a dream goal what would it be.... and take it from there.
Q: What is the current and former youth-oriented TV programs in the Philippines?
A: We have a long list of that one. But let us stick the shows which had phenomenal successes in terms of ratings and star power.
Back in the '80s, when cellphones and Internet were not yet available in the country, the teens relied on television for entertainment. "That's Entertainment" (GMA-7), a brainchild of German Moreno, became their favorite youth-skewed program. It showcased the talents and good looks of local entertainment's most promising celebrities.
In the 1992, "Ang TV" (ABS-CBN) took over. It was actually a gag variety show which featured talented kids and teens.
Other shows which had the high school students glued to their TV sets: Channel 7's T.G.I.S. (Thank God It's Sabado) and "Growing Up" by GMA-7, and Channel 2's "Tabing-Ilog" and "Gimik."
In 2000s, "Click" (GMA-7) and "Berks" (ABS-CBN) kept the youths occupied during Saturday afternoons.
Recently, we have the defunct "Love to Love" (GMA-7) and "Abt Ur Luv" (ABS-CBN), "Boy Nxt Door" (GMA-7) and "Astigs" (ABS-CBN) and the currently-airing "Ka-blog!" (GMA-7) and "Y Speak" (Studio 23).
Q: Adventist friends: How well do you involve your Youth in your Church programs and activities?
A: In the Church that I go to there is a part of the main service that is dedicated to telling children stories either about people of the Bible or or personal stories that teach a lesson. The various children's divisions always has projects that brings them into the main service.
Before the regular offering is passed during Church service children as young as three will pass baskets around for offering. This gives them a sense of being an active part of the service.
The Pathfinders (Adventist version of the scouts), will sometimes perform the whole Church service. And they always do an excellent job. I was in the Pathfinders as a kid and you learn basically what the scouts learn with exceptions of course. It's a wonderful experience.
Q: Habitat for Humanity Individual Youth Programs no longer exist! Where can I find a similar program?
I was planning on joining one of Habitat for Humanity's Youth Immersion programs either this summer or during one of my breaks this year. But when I went onto the website to look up the dates it said that individual programs no longer exist! I can't do a group program, part of my reasoning on wanting to do this was to do something on my own without my friends. Making a group of people in order to participate would be against that purpose. (Though, it's not my only reason for wanting to do this.)
So, do you know where I can find a week or so long program for people around the age of 17 in the USA. I don't want to go international. And I only want it to be a week or two if it's during the school year, so I can find one during a break. But if it's during the summer it can be up to a month.
Oh, and if you know why Habitat got rid of it's individual youth programs feel free to indulge. I'm curious... and annoyed.
Youth programs. Similar to Habitat for Humanity. (Building Houses with a Group of Others) For Teens. Thanks!
A: I brought their site up and did not get the impression that they are no longer accepting young people.

Q: What are the best youth pastor & ministry software programs for planning, organizing, management, etc.?
I have just started the youth pastor position at my home Church. I am in need of software that will help with productivity; management, planning, growth, attendance, fund raising, sermon organization, pastoral helps and resources, ideas, music videos, etc. What are some recommendations? I'm very fortunate in that we have a great set up;complete with Projector, Screens, very nice PA sound system, Band instruments, Worship (lyrics) projection software (MediaShout) etc. However,I need help getting organized and keeping records so we stay on tract. Would also like to get some info on help youth pastor/ministry websites for ideas, leadership, & especially Contemporary Christian Rock/Music Videos. Some favorites bands are Third Day, Casting Crowns, TobyMac, POD, Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, KJ-52, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, Seventh Day Slumber, Building 429, ReliantK, MercyMe, Red, Grits, etc.I know this is a very opened-ended question, but any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks & GOD BLESS!
A: Seeking God's face and ask him for his way's and not mans.Teaching the youth what God wants for them, teaching the truth about him, teach them how to get closer to him, teach them about having a relationship with him, that's what needs to be taught.
Q: Youth programs that help look for jobs in Chicago?
My son's 15 years old. We both agreed he should start working.
A: Give the Chicago Dept. of Children & Youth Services a call. I work for them and that's one of the services we provide. You can get info for agencies that work w/youth employment.
Q: does anybody know of any good foreign youth exchange programs?
A: Here's a list of the best student exchanges in the US for High Schoolers...
http://www.csiet.org/mc/page.do?sitePageId=29151
someone else posted it and I copied it. I know at least three of them have been around for nigh onto forever, and have terrific reputations. The person who posted it originally said that these are the top programs in the country.
Have at it, and have a terrific exchange!

All in all it is like the real world all of us working to together. They do allot of community work also and it is not just for those who live on a farm are in the country, Check it out lost of fun things to do in 4-H.My kids both stayed in from 2nd to 12 grade. It also looks good on college apps and job. apps.
Q: Is it true that video games were meant to be training programs but turned into a youth addiction?
And do you know what website I can find this fact?
A: Video Games, as we know them, were always meant as games, not as training programs.
However, the programming of simple video games is often a part of the training of a programmer.
Q: How to convince Theatre to do youth productions?
Okay so the theatre closest to where I reside does one youth production every summer. And only allows ages 6-18 years old to participate. The problem is, there are NOT enough youth theatre programs in our area!!! We've tried to convince the theatre to do more youth productions, but they won't budge. But then again, they always complain about the lack of money for the theatre and the youth programs bring in hundreds of viewers each time!!!! How can I convince them to do more year-round youth programs??
A: Maybe suggest a show that involves adults and children for another time of the year? Annie? Oliver!? Honk!?
When this happens, try to keep track of how much money a show featuring children brings in. After all, little ones bring in parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. Then you have data for next time.
Also, suggest that your theatre do one or two day shows for schools in the area for cultural field trips. Normally, schools will excuse the students in the production, and depending on what play you select, you shouldn't have any trouble getting school groups to come in.
Finally, find other like-minded parents and attend a board meeting. Maybe they are woried about participation when school is in session, which is why they concentrate on the summer when young people have more free time.
Q: Is the Rotary Youth Exchange Program safe and reliable?
I'm planning on going away my junior year with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, but my mom is having doubts because the program hasn't been very organized so far. Any good/bad experiences? (I hope plenty of good ones!)
A: I would not go with rotary. I'm not saying it's bad or anything.. but my friend is going with that, we are both exchangestudents. I'm with EF and can say I'm very happy I chose that. some examples are that in rotary you can't date or get your drivers license. I can do both of those things.
I also think you have to change family every so often. I would much more like to stay with one family, since we get bonded and stuff.
I'm just saying, those small things can make a difference. I'm very happy I chose EF, and I think you should consider that too... ^^
Q: Where can I find Easter programs for Youth Ministry?
I am this year's Youth Director and our next program will be for Easter. I just wanted to get some fun ideas that will help motivate and teach our youth.
A: A couple of places to try are Kids Sunday School Place and A Kids Heart. The links are below. You can visit my website and use the Christian Link page and there are a lot more links for Children's Ministries. Hope these help!
