Q: I am considering entering a debt management program. Anyone have any advice?
I am considering entering a debt management program because I am way over my head in credit card debt. I know it may not be the best solution but it seems I keep putting it off, getting no where paying down my debt. Does anyone have advice or comments?
A: Debt counseling is the best way to go instead of debt consolidation (which simply means one borrows more to get out of debt).
Here is a link to the FTC approved agencies. Some may charge a small fee and may not (depends upon your situation).
This will give you breathing time to catch up

Govt approved credit counseling agencies.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Q: I just got accepted to a masters program in Engineering and Technology Management. Is it worth it?
I just got accepted to a masters program in engineering and technology management program at Washington State University. Do you think it is worth the money and time? It's a two year part time program
A: First and foremost, No knowledge is lost, what is your present qualification and in what discipline? If this is not your discipline then it's a chance to widen ur horizon, but if it is your discipline it is a chance to move forward. And remember he who does not look ahead remains behind. And to actualize your dreams;don't stop learning, don't stop trying and don't stop growing. So the ball is in your court,Just GO AHEAD AND TAKE THE CHANCE.Lastly, remember opportunity comes when you least expect ...GRAB IT!!!!Since we are living in the world of information and technology, don't u think it's a chance.

Q: What is the most important for a PhD program in Operations Management?
For a PhD program in Operations Management, what is the most imporant thing to consider about.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!
I have decent undergraduat degree, working experience.
I want to know which is the most important thing in applying for such a program, like Transcript, GRE scores, Personal Statement, Previous research experience, recommendation letters, awards and extracurricular actitives, etc...
Thanks!
A: That is a vague question.
You should make sure you have an undergraduate degree in a mathematical field.
You should take a course and know what the field is about.
Q: Is there an academic institution near Tokyo, that has a program in environmental management?
I'm planning to move from Israel to Japan, and I want to complete my bachelor's degree there. I'm looking for an academic institution near Tokyo, that has an academic program in environmental management/studies, or in information technology management, which will enable me to take courses worth at least 20 academic points. Of course, my previous studies in Israel must also be taken into account. So, if you know any - let me know!
A: Try Los Angeles...Unless you can read, write, and speak Japanese as well as a native Japanese.

Q: Why shouldn't the Australian Bushfire Management Program Allow citizen to be free to choose to protect or run?
Well, you know about the bushfires in Australia? So, my question regards the BMP of Austalia. This program allows people to be free to evacuate their homes or stay and protect them in case of an approaching fire. So what are some reasons that this isn't good or effective?
A: This policy of defend or flee has been working quite well in Australia for a number of years. It was commonly thought that if people were prepared and the fires wern't too large, then homes could mostly be saved. This was because if people were evacuated too late, then everyone could be at risk.
However it didn't work so well in the Victorian bushfires as some people didn't even know there was a fire until it was too late. There didn't seem to be a way of letting everyone know that a fire was in the area. The fires were so large that even some people who had properly prepared their homes ended up with their homes been burnt to the ground.
Q: Is the management program in Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies much worse the schulich management?
Im interested in tranferring to second year at York, but i dont have the 90% average since im in first year university already, I want to go to york and study management and was just wondering what is the big difference or if its really not a good idea to tranfer into the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies faculty. Anyone know?
A: The easiest way to find out info is to find a student. You can start looking for contact information for New York universities here. http://www.collegereviewed.com/New-York-Colleges-Universities.html The students always seem to know what's going on since they get to experience the classes and the lifestyle.
Q: Management Trainee Program at Cintas?? What is the pay during this training program?
I am interviewing for the Management Trainee Program and was wondering what the payscale was for this entry-level position? Also if anyone knows what its like to work there that would be helpful!
A: The pay depends on the location- where I worked the management trainees started at $35K, but it varied by state.
I worked there long enough to know that they work the management trainees like dogs. You will be expected to be at work at the crack of dawn (5:30ish-6:00am) and you won't leave until 6:00pm- at the earliest.
You will be expected to run routes (drive the delivery trucks), work in the plant (manage a shift- could be 2nd or 3rd shift), and work in sales.
The program is 2 years long and you will rotate through several different departments, BUT the majority of your time will be in:
1. Production- managing people, various shifts, operating equipment and moving dirty laundry around (you will stink by the end of the day)
2. Service- you will drive a delivery truck, service customers and manage people. However, the majority of the time you will fill in for drivers on vacation.
3. Sales- you will be expected to go out and sell the uniform service. Heaven help you if you are not good at it.
Sorry, I am a little jaded, but the above information is fact. Honestly, if you have other options I would take them.
Cintas is embroiled in several class action lawsuits (based on race & gender discrimination.)
Good luck!
Q: What is the ranking/reputation of the hospitality management program at NYU?
I got a finance/real estate degree at Yeshiva University. Since I am willing to start a career in the hotel business. Is NYU,s hospitality program among the best? Is there any ranking?
A: NYU is an excellent school, but honestly, I had never heard that they had such a program. If they do, it isn't among the better ones out there, nor is it one of NYU's stronger programs. There are rankings that come out occasionally, but it doesn't seem to be a very regular thing.
