Q: Supplemental Plan for Children's Health Insurance Program?
My child is enrolled in the children's health insurance program (CHIP) and some of her claims are not fully covered by CHIP, are there any supplemental programs or plans available to her? Universal Health Care is a MUST for our futures. Anyone who disputes this can afford health care and/or doesnt want to help out other people and is completely selfish. A: John Edwards is the only candidate with a true universal health care plan. I don't understand why people are so afraid of universal health care in this country. They say that they don't want our government to run health care, why is that worse than the insurance companies. They complain that they would have to pay more taxes, which is true, but the taxes would be much cheaper than health insurance costs!

A: All people should have access to good health care regardless of where they live in the world. I believe it should be a right to have it regardless of financial status. Why should a child who is very ill be obliged to have parents that are rich enough to afford it. It is not an issue of money, its an issue of morality. Every person who dies because money comes first, destroys another piece of our humanity.

Tax incentives for employers to offer health insurance, and restructuring the current medicaid program to utilize private insurance providers, would that be socialism? eelfins, do you even know what you are talking about?

A: Is Socialism Government contracts, with out them what would we do. I mean what business is not associated with government contracts or exist because of them. The US Postal Service, how many jobs did that create, land, sea & air. How many cars, homes, stores, fuel & doctors will be needed. Now let throw in shipbuilding, tanks, planes, guns, ammo the space program, the military bases & parts. need I say more, everyone try and think what government contracts are in your town, hint there are many. Universal Health works by the working people pay about as much as they pay now for health care, just that everyone is covered. I would love that, but how many government contracts are associated with the medical industry and are these people ready to give them up, a lot of BS because we are Socialism, people just don;t want that.

A: No. A single payer healthcare system would undermine the quality of care we receive in the USA.

A: Job recruiters who are hiring master's level public health professionals are not terribly focused on grades. Job experience holds much greater weight. Start by working at a lower-level agency if you must, but build your resumé in the fields you want to concentrate in. If you are research-oriented, then try to get your work published. The more published you are, the better your prospects will be. I earned my MPH from a reputable university in Los Angeles. I was hired by a large agency right away. It doesn't pay much, but my organization is a big name and I know my experience here can give me a lot of leverage down the line.
