A: It depends on the program. Some are on a set schedule with online classes and you have to enroll by a certain time of year...others have pre-set classes that work more like correspondence programs, and you can enroll at any time. It should be in the FAQ's at the school site that you're looking into.

A: I'm not sure about Penn Foster, but it might be in your best interest to attend you local community college and then move on to an advanced degree afterward at an accredited college or university. If you choose to use an online degree program, choose one that is affilated with a college that you can visit if you wanted. It might take a few years, but you are investing in your education and eventual advancement. Things this important should not be rushed. Don't let the fact that you are a mother hinder you from striving for you goals. You are still very young and you have lots of time to focus on getting yourself together. Congratulations on deciding to make this important move.

Q: Would you recommend the Weight Watchers online program?
I need to lose weight-but I want a "lifestyle" change-I'm only 22, I have a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old and I just want to lose about 40 pounds-keep it off and life a healthy life for me and my kids. Is the Weight Watchers online program something that sounds good for me? Have you tried it? What's the difference between the online program and the meetings?

A: I have been on Weight Watchers for 16 weeks now and have lost 25 pounds. I do both the meetings and the online program. Online has what they call e-tools and you can track your weight and there are helpful tools to track your points each day. It also has message boards and recipes. At the meetings, you can learn a lot of information from people who have been doing the program for a while. For me, the meetings are a better motivator. I have to show up and weigh in. At home I "cheat" more than if I go to the group.

I just recently found out that Virginia college online has an associate degree program in Healthcare Reimbursment that teaches medical billing and coding and they are nationally accredited.Then there is the Gatlin education certificate that is offer through accredited colleges in medical billing and coding. Any suggestions from any online college students or someone who works in the medical feild? Any experience from those who work in the Health Information feild about what its like or any thing related to the feild?

A: Please be very wary of those 'online schools' as employers don't generally find them to be reputable places of learning. That includes stratford career institute and penn foster. I'd gone to www.ripoffreport.com where consumers can post about services that there were less than pleased with, and I actually think that I recall reading about va college online. There really aren't supposed to be too many jobs in medical billing though not sure about coding only that one must be a certified coder (by passing certification exam) and may even need at least one year of working to get coding job. A: Check out Western Governors University- They have online programs. I am getting my Masters of Education from WGU. It is inexpensive and a wonderful program.

A: Sorry to inform you but both of these you need to goto school for. Being a chef does not necessarily mean that you know recipes but that you are able to produce a palatable and presentable plate to the customer. As for welding the certification test is not written. It is an actual welding test where you weld two plates together and they are sent out for testing... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....

A: I'm currently a massage therapy student, and because massage therapy is a physical job, you are required, in most states, to have so many classroom hours, including practical classes. Anatomy classes and things like that can probably be done online, but you need the classroom experience to teach you proper body mechanics and correct methodology. I'm posting the link to the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork below. You can find out what your state's requirements are there. Good luck! As far as financial aid goes, you may want to fill out your FAFSA to see what is offered to you. I'll post that link too. Also, I love my classes. My husband as an ABD in Mathematics and would like to finish online since we live in a rural area nowhere close to a university offering a program he can attend.

A: I don't believe there are an Ph D programs in mathmatics offered Online. I know that NYU is trying to expand what they offer Online but most of that is Business related. You could try looking into the possibility there. Good Luck!!!

I am studying to be an early childhood education teacher. But I have been told that most teachers have a side career too because teachers are still underpaid. I am debating whether I want to be a child psychologist on the side. I am also planning on earning a massage therapy license to practice massage on the side. Can you do a massage therapy program online? Do you have to attend school in person? Are online massage therapy classes available? Can I earn my massage therapy training and license online?I am hearing about so many programs offering online education.

A: I would think that would be difficult (except for some of the lecture courses) as where I taught the students did actual massages (that would be hard to do online)
