Q: How is the online MBA program at Cal State Dominguez Hills?
I'm considering applying to the online MBA program at Cal State Dominguez Hills and am just wondering if the program is any good?
A: Probably worthless -- just like the In Person MBA at any CSU
Q: How long does it take to complete an online MBA program?
How long does it take to complete that program?
A: I have met some one who actually finishes her MBA in 3 quarters, Impressing but not impossible.
Q: Which is the best online MBA program? What about schools that offer the MBA on weekends?
I am in KS but can commute to campus of distance. I am interested in Human Resources and have a JD now.
A: If you are going to invest your time and money in an MBA I suggest you find a program that is accredited by the AACSB. Potential online programs that fit this bill include:
Penn State
University of Florida
Drexel University (PA)
Auburn
Indiana University
Good Luck!
Q: Can you tell me the name of all good institutes who provide online MBA program?
A: I never heard of any institution which provides ONLINE MBA program.
Q: Would an online MBA program be as good as a traditional one?
Does it prepare the student for a job as well as a traditional one would?
A: Depending on the program it may or may not prepare the student, but most employers will look at it negatively compared to a traditional college MBA. I have spoken to many recruiters and hiring managers and most of them have expressed that they feel better about students who have gone through the rigors of traditional college.
And the on-line classes are much more expensive...and I go to a private college!
Q: Has anyone attended an MBA online program that did not require the GMAT or prior work experience?
A: I did - University of Phoenix. But they are expensive so if you do not have an employer paying it can be rough.
They will accept you on a conditional basis and as long as you maintain a 3.0 will waive the work experience req.
Q: Hello, am looking for an online MBA program that is open to students from INDIA. Kindly suggest?
A: Looking where? Overseas all on line universities accept students from any where but what is the use having such a MBA degree?
Q: Inexpensive online MBA program?
I don't know a lot about online courses. I am a college graduate who would like to take online classes. I would prefer an online program which is inexpensive. Where should I go? Any other information you could provide would be great!
A: Online courses tend to vary in price, so we could say they are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive that a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies.
Suggestions for selecting online schools
The key is to make sure the college/university is accredited. I have three basic recommendations for everyone looking into online/distance education. They all have to do with exploring; after all, you have to defend your assets.
1. Make certain that you have triple checked their accreditation. First, they tell you what it is, then you go to that accrediting body’s website (not through the link provided by the school), and thirdly you would visit the department of education to see what they have to say. Do your diligent research into the institutions once you have narrowed down to a couple. You can look at the Better Business Bureau for more information on the college.
2. You must have extreme self motivation and be able to teach yourself per say. This means that you will not have someone telling you verbally, so it is up to you to get the information from the course room, text, and other resources. The best way to look at it is like a guided independent study course.
3. Review your goals, personal and professional. Make sure that the school that you are going to offers the programs that match your goals. Do not settle. There are many programs that are similar, but you have to make the ultimate decision. Do not let it be based on finances and length of program, but the fact that when you are finished or near finished you will be able to assume your proper place in the career field sought.
You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!
Q: Who has the higest ranking and recognized online MBA program?
A: For distance learning MBA programs check out the University of Phoenix, Devry University, and Pepperdine University:

Good luck and have a nice day!
Q: Any university offering online MBA program in Hotel Management?
A: I know Cornell has an excellent school for Hotel Management

Q: How do I choose an online MBA program?
Specifically, I'm looking for a website or other outlet to research. Also, what accreditation should I be looking for? I want to be sure that the degree is valuable in the eyes of an employer.
A: Your best source is the Official MBA Guide, a free service with more than 2,000 MBA programs. The best programs are accredited by the AACSB
Q: What are some good MBA online programs?
I'm looking into getting my MBA online, but I can't afford anything over $20,000. Does anyone know of a good program that is affordable and isn't from University of Phoenix or Kaplan?
A: Consult the Official MBA Guide. It's a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, etc), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. It's the best service available at http://officialmbaguide.org.
Q: i want to know the MBA online program in india and their details?
A: Don't go for IICT LUCKNOW
it was complete waste of money and time
Q: Looking for an AACSB Accredited online MBA program.... Have you done an online MBA?
Anyone have any input or know of a good school for distance learning? I am a bit hesitant to do this, is there ANY interaction with fellow students, emails, forums etc or is it all solitary? What happens if you get stuck with a prob on the work you are doing? How does that work?
I have requested info from Mississippi State, U Mass, Arizona State, and Oklahoma State.
A: Other schools that offer online MBAs, and which are AACSB accredited, include:
- Rensselaer Polytechnic
- Carnegie Mellon
- Thunderbird
- Duke (I think. They used to.)
- UMaryland
- Penn State
As for interaction with fellow students, etc. - most of the programs I've looked at do have forums and other ways to interact with fellow students and the professor. But what they offer, exactly, varies with the school, so this is something you'll need to investigate for each one. They seem to try to mimic the in-person MBA experience as much as they can, electronically. For example, RPI has forums, and they even have a few classes that require you to come to campus for a couple of days - so you'd meet your fellow students.
Most professors seem to have certain hours where they can be found online, like office hours. You can also email the professor or fellow students to discuss problems you're stuck on, etc.
It's not as solitary as you'd think. But do ask each program about this sort of thing, because I agree - it's important.
