Q: What are very good masters programs for advertising?
I'm graduating this year on a bachelor degree in advertising and I am looking for a good university for my masters. It can be anywhere in the world, not just United States. I can speak English and Spanish. I'm looking for the best place.

A: Some good Masters programs in Advertising and Public relations are at American University (Public Communication), Johns Hopkins (Master of Arts in Communication), and the Academy of Art University (Advertising). Check out http://www.gradschools.com/ListingFunctions/SearchResults.aspx?SubjectId=8&Country=USA&State=&Keyword=&ProgramType=0&Page= for a listing of schools with Media and Public Affairs, Public Relations, Communication and some Advertising degrees. However, most masters programs are more general (Communication, Public Relations, etc.) than Advertising and would include it.

Q: My college only offers a certificate in zoology, will i still be able to apply to masters programs?
I am planning at the moment to go for a certificate in zoology, or wildlife biology. After that i would probably work for a few years to gain experience and be sure it is a field i want to pursue. Then try to get my masters in one of the biology fields, probably marine biology. I am not yet committed to my college, should i look for a school that offers a 4 year degree or is a certificate fine for someone who wants to pursue a masters? Also, which option do you think would be better if marine biology is what i want to pursue?

A: I am afraid you would not be able to get any jobs without a degree. Even seasonal zoology/wildlife biology jobs that pay less than minimum wage require that you have a degree. Why not earn a bachelor degree and take a quarter off each year to do some volunteer work or internships. You might also get involved with research with a professor on campus. This week can let you get a feel for the job while still in school.

Q: What are some good clinical psychology masters programs in California?
I have a undergraduate degree in a different discipline though, so I would need to be allowed to take the requisite subjects as part of it.

A: You can find top listing of psychology college courses in this site - collegefinder.bebto.com It also has info about each, tips to apply and which salary should you expect (to comparison)

Q: What schools offer masters programs in accounting (not MBA)?
I am looking for graduate programs in accounting where undergraduate coursework in accounting is not a prerequisite. I have an undergraduate degree in economics but would like to earn my masters in accounting. I know that USC offers a masters in accounting where they accept non accounting majors, but could not find anymore. Any suggestions?

A: Check out Boston College. I'm in their Summer/Summer program right now designed for undergrad accounting majors, but they offer a full-time academic year program to obtain your MSA if you were not an accounting undergrad. It's an excellent program and a great school. http://www.bc.edu/schools/csom/msa/home.html

Q: Which public universities in Northeast have good Masters programs in architecture and related fields?

A: Harvard, MIT, Cornell, Columbia and RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) have excellent graduate programs in Architecture and related fields. Contact their graduate admissions office for details on application requirements. Good luck!

Q: What colleges offer Neuroscience masters programs or graduate studies that are close to MA?

A: Neuroscience programs are often Ph.D. MA programs do not exist. Only MS in Neuroscience. I'd suggest you go to Princeton Review's website and run a search there.

Q: Which of these Masters programs are worth their value with respect to their tuition fees?
I wish to make a decision with respect to these 4 Graduate programes around Boston ,MA. All are M.S. in CIS and M.S. Information Technology programs. Choices are :- 1> Worcester Polyectnic Institute in Worcester , MA offering M.S in Information Technology with fees of almost USD 35,000. 2> Boston University - Metropolitan College offering M.S in CIS with fees of almost USD 30,000. 3> Bentley College in Waltham, MA offering M.S in Information Technology with fees of almost USD 30,000. 4> Clark University in Worcester , MA offering M.S in Information Technology with fees of almost USD 20,000. I have a B.S in Computer Science and wish to persue this graduate program to enhance my career prospects further. Which of the above programs are a good choice to persue to enhance ones career prospects with respect to the tution fees . In short are the tution fees worth for that M.S program ? And how are thease programs looked at by recruiters ?

A: You want to get an advanced technical degree in the Boston area and MIT isn't on your list of schools? Now that is weird! OK, If you are accepted into a gradutate program in one of the schools that you are interested in you should have no difficulty getting either a teaching or research assistanceship which should include full tuition and also a stipend. Almost every US citizen who attends grad school goes gratis, that is, you really should expect to get your tuition paid for you. Especially in a technology field. Have you talked with the grad chairman in the CIS dept of any of these schools about what kind of financial aid support you can expect? You need to do that first because the "cheapest" school may not be the "cheapest" school in the end, if you know what I mean. And yes, getting an MS, especially in CS these days, is definately productive and a good return on your investment.

Q: Where should I look to find exciting programs that will pay for my masters while allowing me to teach?
I'm aware of the fact that I need a masters of some kind in order to secure an English teaching job, but I would prefer to enroll in a program that will allow me to teach somewhere for some kind of initiative program that will help pay for my masters since I cannot afford one right now. I would be most interested in any unique programs that involve cities like Boston, New York, Chicago, Phoenix, or Los Angeles, or perhaps even abroad in Canada, the UK, Israel, or Spain. Any ideas?

A: Have you investigated volunteer organizations such as the Peace Corps or AmeriCorps? I know there are several others, but I am most familiar with these two. The Peace Corps requires a 27 month commitment and not only gives you "x" amount of credits toward your degree, but offers student loan forgiveness. My anthropology teacher suggested AmeriCorps to me, as an alternative way to live in Central America and study Mayan archeology... He specifically said that they are begging for ESL teachers and that you don't have to possess a teaching degree or an English degree to be hired on. While I have not checked into it, he also said that you earn credits during your tenure and they too offer loan repayments. There are also government teaching incentives where you agree to teach for 3 to 5 years in an impoverished district - then they repay a large percentage of your student loans. Many districts will also fund your continuing education through your period of employment. I'm sure there are several things out there... Good luck to you!

Q: Does anyone know the best Law Schools in Paris which offer masters programs?

A: There are two very good law schools in Paris: Assas (or Paris 2) is considered as the best law school but is very traditionnal. http://www.univ-paris2.fr/html/lmd/lmd_master_droit.htm Pantheon-Sorbonne (or Paris 1) is very highly regarded as well and the atmosphere is a bit more relaxed. http://www.univ-paris1.fr/formation/rubrique4.html

Q: Are there any Bachelors or Masters programs specializing in Data Base Management Systems?

A: You could concentrate in DBMS coursework from your optional major courses at the undergrad level. However, to be truly deemed a DBA (with only degree work), the grad sheepskin is probably required. Here's a few links to some master's programs (some overlaps between sites). http://www.directoryofeducation.org/masters-degree/information-systems.shtml http://programs.gradschools.com/distance/systems_engineering.html http://www.all-computer-schools.com/featured/database-administration-programs/?src=goo_acom_database_5146

Q: Are there any masters programs for graphic design where you don't need a portfolio to apply?
I know you do not need a portfolio for Miami Ad school. Are there any other school like it? Perhaps in the NY area, or upper eastcoast? Is there a site where I can find these school listed? I'm lost. Let me clarify, are there any schools that help you get a portfolio together, for people who have not graduated from art schools. I am already taking continuing education classes to try and build a portfolio. Which I love, but will not help towards a degree (which my parents do not understand- taking classes but not earning a degree). I am not trying to cut corners, but asking if there are schools that help people not in the field, get into it.

A: yes their are many colleges in US offering masters in graphic designing u need a minimum portfolid to apply

Q: Which Universities offer the "Fast-Track" program (masters & docotrate programs simultaneously) in psychology?
I am looking for a College or University in the Mid-West region (preferably Ohio), that offers the "Fast-Track" program in Psychology. That is, obtaining your masters degree and your doctorate degree simultaneously. I heard that Case Western Reserve University offers the program, but that is the only one I know of.

A: The American Psychological Association publishes a manual each year that lists all APA accredited schools in the country. It also gives their specialties, etc. To practice at the doctoral level you want an APA accredited school. I think that most of the states require that as a prerequisite for licensure. You can do an internet search for the American Psychological Association and find out all kinds of information.
