If so, how was it? Did you have a good experience?

A: yes v.good

Q: Where can I find an online LPN program for Indiana residents?

A: I wouldn't recommend it. You need clinical experience and supervision that you cannot get from on-line classes, and the motivation and counseling just ren't there.

Q: Is a a good idea to enroll in an lpn program right out of high school? or go to college?
I am a senior in high school and I woiuld like to go into the healthcare field. I was thinking about not going to a traditional university and going to a school such as olympia college to get a degree in practical nursing. Is this a good idea?

A: Get a degree as an RN if you can. My mom has been an LPN for 30 years, and she gets dicked over constantly by certain rules hospitals have. Like many times LPNs can't sign for certain things, even if they are perfectly capable of doing it, they need to find an RN to sign stuff for them. They also get paid MUCH less in many hospitals. So just go for the RN degree if you can. It only requires a couple additional classes and will pay off in the long run. But either way, you should probably do it right after high school, then you can get certain grants and scholarships through the school. It's hard to get into college after taking a year off to do other things, even LPN programs like Vocational Schools. Go to college. Good luck!!!!

Q: Do I have to do the LPN program befor I go throught the RN program or can I just go through the RN program?
I WANT TO BECOME A RN ON THE LABOR AND DELIVERY UNIT.

A: You can go straight through to the RN program in most universities. It will take 4 years to complete and the assignments of wards will depend on availability and experience required. Most freshy RNs don't get to choose their wards, it's assigned to them by the hospital wherever needed. If you're in high school, keep an eye out on the deadlines for submitting applications and grades. Check the school's nursing program online for those details and whether they allow a straight out of high school path, or require you to take 3 years of another major first before applying.

Q: I live in new york. Does anybody know where can I go for a free LPN program. I'm a patient care associate.
I LIVE IN NEW YORK. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GO FOR A FREE LPN PROGRAM. I'M A DIALYSIS PATIENT CARE ASSOCIATE. THANKS

A: HEY Joanne, I live in Orange county NY., and you are right. I believe if you go to a Boces program, or adult ed. dept. at your local high school they can help. I recieved my CNA certification through Boces, and did my courses, testing, and in-service at a nursing home in Goshen NY. Most will want you to work for them for about a year in exchange for the schooling. My friend recieved her certification also from Boces and is now a DPA in the state of Florida. There is such a critical shortage for nurses now that the nursing homes are willing to help you get licensed. Contact the Elant health care system, and they may be able to help. Where ever you are I am sure there are Boces programs or something similar. Good luck.

Q: Does anyone know the tuition for the LPN program at Concorde career college in jacksonville florida?
answer needed!! thanks

A: I am not sure what there tuition is, but I do know something about them that is VERY important. They are not accredited by the higher learning commision. I actually cannot find any accreditation on them that is a real accrediting body. I would not go there if I were you. It will be a waste of your money. You will not be able to transfer your degree to anywhere else. It will be as if you did all that work for nothing.
