A: The only 2 I am familiar with are Western University in Macomb or Joliet Junior College in Joliet. There are probably many more but our department had had officers from both those places.

Anyone with any experience in this, your help would be greatly appreciated!
A: HI,

So and I have one more website for you to look at if you want...it is www.tbosna.com. it is also about t-shirts. You can just leave a response on my old question board. Your answer was selcted as the best, so it should be hard to find. Thanks

Specifically if one completes online certificates in Homeland Security and Emergency Management and Criminal Justice Studies with Specialization from Central Texas College, what jobs would one be prepated for? Prior Infantryman in Army and currently security guard.
A: Not much help in my opinion - go to college and get your degree
Q: what is the best university to transfer to in the state of New York for Criminal Justice majors?
I currently attend school in Michigan and I heard about the NYPD cadet program. I am considering being apart of the program but in order to do that I need to be enrolled in a 4 year university in New York. I would like to know any universities that have great Criminal Justice programs that would be a good choice to transfer too.
A: Hi!
John Jay college of Criminal Justice

Have a good day.
Q: What criminal justice programs are available in Massachusetts?
My daughter is thinking about majoring in criminal justice. An officer was telling me that there is a program in Massachusetts that will increase the pay of graduates by 25% or more. He said there are only a few schools that offer this program and that she would qualify for the Mass police academy if she goes into this program. I forgot the name of the program. He said that Anna Maria College was one of the special schools but I can't find any reference on their site. Any help would be appreciated.
For those who may be interested, I just found what I was looking for and it's the Quinn Bill which is like an accredidation for Massachusetts schools for criminal justice majors. More info at:
http://www.osfa.mass.edu/quinnbill/default.asp
A: I don't know the program the officer is speaking about, but you can call Anna Maria admissions and see if they know what he's talking about. You could also check the website for the Police Academy and see if they talk about it.
I know that Northeastern has one of the best respected criminal justice programs in the US. My cousin went there, and he got a job afterwards working for the DEA. He's now in their upper eschelons, and that degree certainly served him well.
Q: is Katherine Gibbs a good school to study criminal justice?
i live in new york and i am going to graduate soon. im looking to get a career in law enforcement so i want to go to a college and get a degree in criminal justice. so far i heard john j college is a good school for that but i dont think i have the requirements to get into that school so i was thinking about going to katherine gibbs in manhattan for a year or 2 and then maybe transfer to john j college. i was wondering if Gibbs has good criminal justice programs? ive heard a some negative things about that school so i need some feedback please.
A: I cannot agree with the first Answerer's recommendation.
In all my years in placing students in employment, I have know of only one person who got a job with an on-line degree. That was on an Indian reservation in the middle of nowhere, North Dakota.
As for Katharine Gibbs College - is it even accredited? If it isn't, your course credit most likely will not transfer to John Jay or other legitimate college. Berkeley College is accredited, but it's expensive.
My suggestion is that you call John Jay and get an appointment with an admissions counselor. Show him/her your SAT and high school work and talk about what you want to do with your academic life and career. They very well might have a remedial program to help you get in and do well.
Good luck to you
Q: How good is Kent State Criminal Justice Program?
Hello,
I was wondering how good the criminal justice program at kent state is and are there any that are better in ohio? thanks
A: Kent is one of those colleges that is underrated. It is much better than most people know about. This is bad in some ways (Employers really don't know how quality your program is), but good in others. (You're generally very well prepared for the job world) I don't know specifically about that major, but if it's anything like the other schools I know about there, it is probably excellent.
Q: Criminal justice graduate programs?
I'm about to graduate with a B.S. in sociology and a minor in criminal justice. I'm wondering, what are some criminal justice grad programs that are offered (besides just "criminal justice")?
A: Hello! You can find something of criminal justice programs at http://besteducationoffers.blogspot.com
Q: What high school level classes do i need to take to get into Northeastern University for Criminal Justice?
I am getting ready to choose my classes for high school and I really want to take classes that would help me get into their criminal justice program. I can't find this anywhere on their website (or any others for that matter). Can anyone at least give me an idea of the classes that I need to take?
A: The reason you won't find this information on their website, or any website for that matter, is that majority of high schools in the nation offer a standard -- predetermined -- course schedule.
Most students in the nation don't have the ability to choose. Consider yourself one of the fortunate ones.
If you have an opportunity to pick courses, pick courses that relate to criminal justice... duh! You know that! But, here are other topics that may help you choose your high school courses:
- politics
- current issues
- psychology
- sociology
- political science
- international affairs
- public policy
- international relations
These, of course, are the genres of courses to take.
But most importantly, make sure to keep your grades as close to an "A" as possible. Try to join organizations, teams, and after-school groups (this will look very good on your college app).
Get to know your teachers and keep contact with them (even after your freshman or sophomore years -- these first teachers in high school can be very helpful to your cause). When it's time to apply to Northeastern you can ask them for letters of recommendation, to check your application, or the entrance essay to the program.
Your chances of getting into a Criminal Justice program may be higher if you complete these steps. Most importantly remain a kid at heart and a sharp individual. Most of your peers don't even think that far ahead. So with that in mind, you should be just fine in your quest of getting into Northeastern -- great pick by the way!
I'm going to devote a post on my blog to your question. Good luck!
