Q: Which program is best for me Disney Career Start or the Disney College Program?
Ok, I am a HS senior and will graduate this June, should I apply to the Disney Career Start Program? I have already been admitted to a college/university, so could I do both?
OR
Should I wait to have completed my 1st semester of college to try for the Disney College Program?
A: I recent completed the program last january. So actually just a few months ago. I would definitely say do one semester of college and go from there. I did two semesters first and then I did the program. I absolutely loved the experience. As soon as a i graduate i a applying to do it again. If you are a good swimmer i would recommend being a lifeguard. I was a guard at blizzard beach and its absolutely the best job as a CPer. Any job though is worth it, but lifeguards have a bit more leeway and the managers are awesome. But start school and then apply. You wont regret it, its amazing!
Q: Does the Disney College Program(in Anaheim) require its students to take off the semester?
Can I still attend the university that I attend now and still attend to the Disneyland College Program?
A: Im starting the end of the month in the Disneyland College Program as well. They said that I can still go to school (15 units this semester) while being in the program so your good. No need to take the semester off.Just make sure you can balance school with work.
Q: What is this college program called?
I'm going to community college for two years and I plan on majoring in Business Administration. I'd like to transfer to a good four year school and get a duel degree in law and business and then later on get an MBA. I don't plan on being a lawyer, but I'd like to learn law because I want to run for public office someday. Is this possible and what is there a law/business program available?
A: Yes, there are a lot of JD/MBA programs out there. You can get a JD without going on to take the local Bar exam, if you want, which is what you would need to do to become a practicing lawyer.
Q: What field trips does the Moreno Valley middle college program offer?
Is the middle college program(the one offered to high school seniors and juniors) fun and what kind of field trips does it include?
A: I think you should call the school and ask them...or you can look at a website.
Q: What are the pros and cons of entering into a community college transfer program instead of a University?
College transfer program for two years...then transfering to a University. What are the pros and cons?
A: Pro: class sizes are smaller, teachers ACTUALLY know how to teach, most teachers want u to learn (I had prof. in 4 year that flat out said he doesn't care if we learn or not..he still gets paid)., MUCH cheaper, resources are easier to use..smaller library, not as many people wanting to use labs, etc.
Cons: it's a pain to transfer..u have to pay for a transcript to the 4 year.. Some classes will NOT transfer or count at the new school.. if u make a D, it will not transfer..
Q: How do I nail an interview for a college prep program?
I'm fifteen years old and I tried to get into a college prep program last year but unfortunately I didn't make it. I'm trying again this year and I'm terrified. Can someone give me advice on how to answer some questions that you think will be asked or anything that you think is important for me to know? Thanks
A: You have a better idea of anywhere here since you did it last year. Maybe you should relax and let your true personality shine thru. You should answer the questions honestly.
Q: How helpful is Juilliard Pre-college program for getting into a top college?
What top colleges favor someone who enrolled in Juilliard pre-college program?
A: The Juilliard Pre-college program is hugely famous. It'll lend credence to just about any institution.
It's definitely helpful if you are on the line or over the top. If you're grades are sub-par, or other major issues appear then it will not help much.
It's one ingredient among many.
Q: What degree does one receive upon completing a teacher education (teachers college) program in the USA?
I am from Canada, and here one would need a Bahcelor's degree to get into a teachers college program, and then when they complete it - about a 1 yr program - they receive a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). I am curious to know what the equivalent degree is called in USA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
In repsonse to the first 2 answers, you can major in education during your undergrad here asl well ( i think), but is there a post-bachelor program in the USA that trains those who have a bachelor of arts without a major in education?
A: In the USA you major in education while you are getting your bachelors. You end up with a BA or BS in education.
Q: If you a college ROCT program is it easier to become an officer?
I am currently a Seaman in a Navy Junior ROTC program in high school. If I enroll in a ROTC program in college would it make it easier for me to become an officer or make it faster then someone who did not participate in one? Thank in advance.
A: Going into ROTC does not guarentee commission. They look at your entire package including major, grades, activites, leadership, etc. My best advice would be to sit down and talk with the ROTC at your high school or better yet, if you've decided, the college you wish to attend. Talking to a recruiter could also help.
ROTC is a good way to start though. More so than just getting a degree and hoping for the best.
Q: what is a non credit college program?
What is the difference between a degree/cert program and a non credit college program? I'm not sure what a non credit program is?
A: A non-credit program is something you take just for personal enrichment. It could be something like creative writing or cooking or "how to use your digital camera". Anything that doesn't provide college credits is a non-credit program. It may be taught in a college classroom by college faculty members, but it won't give you college credit.
A degree/certification program will help you earn a degree or certification (i.e., registered nursing).
Q: how do you support yourself in the National guard college first program?
I know you drill one weekend a month or so but the pay isn't very much. do you get a regular job in the meantime while going to college as well? do you get any other type of pay other than drill pay while in this program? im trying to figure out what i want to do cause im a single parent and don't know if its best to do this program or join not doing the college first program and finish college later.
A: Only you can decide if joining the college first program is a good move. As you doubtless realize, going active duty is a possibility, and attending college down the road. If you go in under the college first program, there are several things you may wish to consider....
1. When attending BCT + AIT, you receive the same benefits and pay as active duty personal.
2. After completing BCT + AIT, you may qualify for the GI Bill. (Drill Pay + GI Bill =$600++ A month)
3. Many National Guard programs MAY pay for ALL of your tuition.
4. You may wish to consider joining ROTC. Depending upon the school, a ROTC scholarship may cover ALL of your on campus housing cost. By being enrolled in the SMP program, you will earn over $1500 a month in the third, and forth years of ROTC.
Q: How to write essays to get accepted into a college program.?
I'm a high school senior this year looking forward to getting accepted into a Dental Hygiene program. The only problemI think I will have is with the one page paper you have to write on "Why you want in to the program?" My issue is I want in because it's great pay and an easy work schedule. I was just wondering if anyone could throw at me what is wanted in those kind of papers and any ideas you have. I've started a small list. Anything is appreciated. Thanks!
A: If the only reason why you want to get accepted is for the pay and schedule you're in it for the wrong reasons. Work is never easy and great pay doesn't come instantly. Work schedules only get easy when you've been in your career for years and are well established.
I strongly suggest you reconsider your motives for wanting to get into dental hygiene. You'll likely find yourself thoroughly disappointed if you go into it with unrealistic expectations and false reality.
