Q: What Uni's in London, Oxford, Cambridge have Counseling Psychology degrees?
I would like to become a counselor. I am interested in finding a uni in London, Oxford, or Cambridge that offers Masters or degree courses in counseling psychology. Can't seem to find any. Is the field known as something else in the UK?
A: Look on UCAS, it has every course in the UK listed, find the course you want in the search thingy and then all the unis that do that course will come up. I don't know about this particular course so I can't help you more, sorry! Happy new year :)
Q: What psychology master degrees are there?
A big list of any possible psychology master degrees would be awesome! Thanks. 10 points to the person who gives me the most accurate ones.
A: I'm at uni in my first year of psychology bsc. we had to do presentations last term on possible careers on for a psychology graduate so these should be up to date and you need masters for i think all of them....
sports psychology
clinical psychology
educational psychology
forensic psychology
psychopathology
health psychology
and also lots of research masters degrees that often only take a year
hope that helps
Q: If a person is Majoring in Criminology and Minoring and Psychology, when they finish will they have 2 degrees?
If a person is Majoring in Criminology and Minoring and Psychology, when they finish will they have 2 degrees?
Will this person have a degree in Criminology and a Degree in Psychology?
A: No, you'll have a B.S. in Criminology (maybe a B.A. depending on the courses/college), with a minor in Psychology. If you want 'two degrees', the closest you can realistically get is to get a 'dual major', which will require a lot more psychology courses than it would take to get a minor.
Q: Do they start a career as psychics after they received Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in psychology?
Majoring in psychology.
A: Majority of the successful psychics have no formal education in anything so the answer is no.

Q: People with Psychology Degrees, or in the process of getting one.?
I love helping people and I think Psychology would be my best bet. Im in grade 12 and i need to know what o do after high school. I want to go to University for psych but i want to know if it is incredibly hard. Also, I'm not great at science...Can someone who has been in this course give me details!!!
A: If you have a love for it... you will major in it. Many freshman are known to change their majors within the first year. If you are attending a liberal arts university, you will be required to take some kind of social science as a general ed requirement. Psy 100 is usually is gen ed requirement. After this class you can decided if you will be interested in majoring in psychology. Also, to be successful with psychology degree you have to get your Masters or Ph.D. So, don't be prepared to stop at the undergraduate level.
Q: How long will it take me to get all my degrees in psychology if i start at the age of 19?
Ireally want to become a psychologist and I want to go all the way.I want to end with a Ph.D.
I dont want to put any break in my education. I want to go non stop so I can finish as soon as possible.
I juat cant find any infromation about how long it will take me.
A: It will take 6 years if you attend college normally. However, you can shave off some time by going to school in the summer. If you choose to take summer classes I suggest you take a maximum of 3. The classes are accelerated and you will quickly become bogged down with work!
Q: Where can I find an entry level research job with undergraduate degrees in psychology and politcal science?
Help! Im having trouble finding an entry level research job. I've sent out resumes to universities, polling organizations, and hospitals. Yet, Im having difficulty obtaining an entry-level job. My resumes and cover-letters have been looked over by professionals in resume writing and all have found the resume to be excellent. If anyone has an idea of wherei could find research jobs, I would appreciate it greatly.
A: I would contact your nearest universities, and talk to the schools of psychology and poly sci (talking to the department secretaries should be sufficient). Find out if anyone there is on a grant, and needs to hired a paid RA (research assistant). The pay isn't great, but it gives you some experience to put on your resume, and it at least pays something while you are still looking.
Q: Is it just my imagination, or are people who have degrees in psychology often times neurotically competitive?
I know that neurotic probably isn't the right word here, but I think it gets the idea across.
Anyhow, so if it's not my imagination, then what's the deal? Why?!
Dan it, yes, this makes sense. Thanks.
A: your so nice. well it's just the psychologist being neurotically competitive. stop day dreaming. face the reality.
Q: What can I do with the two degrees I have; psychology and computer science?
What kind of job could I get that incorporates psychology into computer science?
A: There is a specific area of computer science that deals with making software and hardware more intuitive and ergonomic for people to use. They tend to look for people with experience in those two specific fields.
You could also go into software development as your psychology degree will greatly assist you in this task.
Another option is adapted learning technology for people with learning and psycho-moto disabilities. You could develop and implement technology that helps people with disabilities use computers to do things they normally cannot do, or to help them access computers when they normally could not.
Another option would be teaching :)
Good luck! Sounds like you've got the building blocks to a great career ahead!
Q: What are some really good colleges in Canada that offer advanced degrees in Psychology or Social Work?
A: I can only speak for social work. University of Toronto, Calgary and McGill are probably the top three.
You can find all the schools of social work in Canada here:
