Q: Which is the best online University for Masters degree ?
I am planning to do an online Masters Degree in communication as i could not get a good GRE score.(I am residing in the US). I want to know whether it's worth doing an online program or should i go for on campus study. After some research i have come down to Bellevue University; which i think provides good online education. I want to know whether it is a good uni or not...Please help!
A: May be this site can help you

Q: Is an online AA degree the same as an AA degree from a regular university?
What should I expect to pay for each certificate hour from an online university? What is the difference between a credit and a certificate hour?
A: There is probably zero difference between a credit and a certificate hour, however you need to be aware that the majority of online "universities" are *not* accredited and those which are, are looked down upon both employers and other universities.
Don't throw away your money; stick to a regular university.
Q: what is the best online university? Do employers really take you seriously with an online degree?
I have GI Bill money to use, and Im a mom of 2 kis so attending school would be tough, figured online would be the way to go. Any recommendations or places to stay away from? Personal experiences would be great! Thanks alot!
A: To be honest, none of the "online universities" are very good, and employers, if they care about a college degree at all, do not take them very seriously. However, there are many traditional universities these days where you can get a degree online. I would recommend one of those, particularly those which have a strong reputation for their conventional classes, as better by far (and usually cheaper, too!).
Q: Has anyone received an online degree from an accredited university i.e. a state university?
I'm looking for advice on obtaining an online marketing degree from a state school. Due to working full time and being relatively far from the nearest university I am considering finishing my degree through Oregon State's online courses. It's a fully accredited school recognised by the CHEA and the U.S Department of Education. Will it show in my records that this degree was obtained online? Will this influence potential employers view of my degree?
Thank you!
A: With the increase of online learners these days, employers have come around to considering online degrees on the same footing as traditional campus based degrees so you need not worry about your degrees acceptance as long as it is from a reputable and accredited elearning institution. You can read more about this issue at http://www.onlineedublog.com/why-employer%E2%80%99s-have-started-liking-online-education/
Oregon State University is a highly accredited institution, so I'd say you go for it :)
Q: Getting a degree online from University of Phoenix a mistake?
I heard that the degree is not as good as the paper it's typed on.
A: Well, I am an employer in the business/financial area so I can give some insight. I generally do not care where you graduated with a Bachelors degree; granted, I will throw your resume out if you have a degree mill listed. UoP isn't a degree mill so they're okay. Most people don't even work in the subject where they receievd their bachelors so really, I couldn't care less other than putting a checkmark on my HR sheet's "undergraduate degree required" category.
At the masters level, however, it's entirely different. I scrutinize where you attended. UoP with the type of applicants i get signals a huge red flag. UoP usually awards masters in business areas to people already with established careers, so they don't take the type of positions I offer. However, if I see someone without much work experience with a masters at UoP I will dismiss them as a candidate.
Q: Online college or degree thru university online?
I am confused about getting a degree through an online college such as Baker, or University of Phoenix online, or going through an actual univerysity like University of Illinois. What is the difference? I am wanting a degree in Computers and my husband wants a degree in business administration. I need someone to help me clarify. ????
A: The are two big overall differences: 1) quality of the education meaning is the institution accredited and 2) how employers perceive them.
Some online colleges are not accredited and if you spend your time and money completing a degree through them only to later find out it isn't acceptable by companies, I don't expect you'd be very happy. A lot of them falsely claim to be accredited, but they have to have regional accredidation to actually count. Plus, completing a degree through these schools automatically advertises that you completed the degree online, while doing it though a traditional university does not indicate that you completed the degree online (it doesn't show up on your transcript and the name of the school doesn't imply it). If you complete the degree through a traditional university that offers online degrees, you'll stand a better chance of receiving a good quality education and more times than not, these programs are accredited and it's easier to check to make sure they are.
Some, but not all, employers do not count degrees from places such as University of Phoenix, Strayer, etc. as "Real" degrees. With that being said, you don't want to have to justify your degree to anyone. If you work hard for something, you want people to appreciate it and accept it w/o any questions.
With that being said, go for the degree through the traditional university.
Q: Do you consider an online degree from University of Phoenix equivalent to a 'sit down' 4 year degree?
Please help me settle a dispute between two co-workers. One has a BS in psychology from the University of Phoenix online and the other attended Southern Connecticut State University and has a BS in psychology as well
The University of Phoenix fellow bragged & bragged when he got his degree online.
The gentleman that actually went to the classes at Southern CT State argues his degree is more meaningful since he sat through live classes and experienced the full college scope by hearing ideas of others in a classroom environment, did an internship to obtain his degree, live group projects, etc.
I don’t know what to think. Do you think an online degree from the University of Phoenix is really equivalent to that of one from a college where you actually attend the classes in person?
Do you think a job recruiter would take the ‘sit down’ degree more serious than a degree obtained on line?
A: As a short answer, the sit-down degree is better and will be looked upon by recruiters as better. The University of Phoenix degree isn't useless because I personally know people who have changed careers and gotten better jobs because of their degree. However, if your two co-workers both applied for a job and I had to decide between the two, if all else were equal, I would choose the Southern CT State degree over University of Phoenix everytime.
If you want to stop the UoP graduate from bragging, ask him how much he paid for his degree. If he got employer tuition assistance, ask him how much came out of his pocket and how much the employer paid. If he took the entire degree at UoP (all 120 credit hours), I bet the total cost was upwards of $40,000. He could have gotten a regionally accredited degree online from a state university in Nebraska(125 semester credit hours) for less than $20,000.
Q: What are the competive and top online university for undergraduate degree?
I am interested in going to online college? is it worth it?
A: No on-line colleges are considered either competetive or top colleges. Many employers will not hire someone with an on-line degree.
Q: Has anyone earned a degree online with the University of Phoenix? Are credits transferrable to other schools? ?
Can someone that graduated tell me what their experience was after receiving an online degree with UOP? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
A: It really depends on your field of study. I have never had a problem getting a job with any of my nursing degrees: Associates from a private college, Bachelor's from a state university, and Master's from an online university (UOP).
Call the professional organizations/governing body for your profession. Talk to recruiters/employers before you register. Do they require you to attend a certain type of school? Does you school need to be accredited? By any specific bodies? Use this information when you are looking at any school, not just UOP.
UOP is accredited by several bodies. Use this list when talking to recruiters/employers: http://www.phoenix.edu/about_us/accreditation.aspx
I enjoyed UOP more than the traditional school I got my AA and BS from. My masters program consisted of discussions, papers, and projects. For me, the benefit of being able to do school work on my own schedule outweighed the cons of the high cost.
I was working as a nursing educator at a university hospital while attending UOP. My supervisors were supportive of me going to school and liked that I wasn't taking off work to go to traditional classes. I was able to use many of my work projects for school projects also, killing two birds with one stone so to speak.
Within two months of graduating I had two new job offers (one from a private college and one from the university hospital). I was even on a phone interview in less than an hour of commencement, I was still in my regalia even.
I took the job teaching nursing at the private college. That same semester they hired another faculty member who was completing her Masters at UOP. I am now back at the university hospital, and another nurse is completing her Masters at UOP.
Q: is Abraham Lincoln International university online degree valid in australia and usa?

Q: Can you really get a good job with an online degree from the University of Phoenix?
I already have a 4-year degree with a major in chemistry, but it seemed like I wasted my time and money, since without experience my degree is useless. No one hires anyone anymore just because they have a degree. So what's the point in all the online degrees? What good can come from spending 2 years online for a degree, but still no work experience??
A: An online degree with a major in chemistry would probably not be looked on very highly - how did you do labs? Was it all online? Without even any practical experience in lab classes, there would be major holes in your training.
Does U of Phoenix push students to look for internships? An internship is a good thing to have on a resume - without it, jobs can be hard to find. Most colleges do suggest or require that their students do internships.
Good luck.
Q: Is Online High School Degree From Belford University will help me to get addmission in any other college ?
Tell me is online high school degree is fake and scam?
I wish to learn BFA (Animation) From Amity University,Noida,INDIA.Is Online degree will help me to get addmission In this university?
A: Belford is not a real school. It is setup to just take your money and it will not provide you with a valid high school diploma.
Q: Online University Degree's?
How would I find Universities that offer Bachelor Degree's completely online? Also, how would I find information on Universities wih medical degree's within a two hundred mile radius of my home? I really don't care for place such as Univ of Phoenix; I would like it to be a bit more formal and well-known.
A: I just completed a master's with Walden University. They do offer Bachelor's. The master's was very easy to work around my schedule and its easier to do than traveling to and from college. They send you video's to watch and you get all your books included in the tuition.
Q: What do you think of Ellis University online BS degree ?
The woman says its nationally and regionally accredited through north central association of colleges and schools.
What do you guys think ? She said it's roughly 30 grand for 4 years... / A BS
I told her I'm a CG Auxiliary and she said I would get a DOD discount, hence why it's so cheap. Is that true ? Do I have to be enlisted ?
Thanks
A: There are tons of online programs. I personally attended American Intercontinental Univ. and Capella University, and I have taught for various online schools over the last five years. All are accredited and solid programs.
The key is to make sure the college/university is accredited. I have three basic recommendations for everyone looking into online/distance education. They all have to do with exploring; after all, you have to defend your assets.
1. Make certain that you have triple checked their accreditation. First, they tell you what it is, then you go to that accrediting body’s website (not through the link provided by the school), and thirdly you would visit the department of education to see what they have to say. Do your diligent research into the institutions once you have narrowed down to a couple. You can look at the Better Business Bureau for more information on the college.
2. You must have extreme self motivation and be able to teach yourself per say. This means that you will not have someone telling you verbally, so it is up to you to get the information from the course room, text, and other resources. The best way to look at it is like a guided independent study course.
3. Review your goals, personal and professional. Make sure that the school that you are going to offers the programs that match your goals. Do not settle. There are many programs that are similar, but you have to make the ultimate decision. Do not let it be based on finances and length of program, but the fact that when you are finished or near finished you will be able to assume your proper place in the career field sought.
You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!
Q: Does anyone have a degree from an online college or university?
Could you give me the pros and cons of the school you received your degree from? Or possibly some insight on what it's like to obtain an online degree? And how open the employment world is to accepting it's credibility?
A: I am attending Western Governors University. It is a great school. It is fully accredited and has the cheapest tuition I have found. I plan on graduating this July, it has taken me 1 year to do all 4 years of my bachelors degree. The drawback to this school is that there really is no teachers- you basically teach yourself. If you can, it is the only route to go. I have gotten some job offers for my field (Business) but I am going to get my MBA and try to go to law school. I don't think that the world liks down on the degree, it would depend on where you wanted to work.
