Q: Who has the least expensive online graduate degrees?
If someone has an accredited BS degree and wants to obtain a graduate degree online, what would be the least expensive route to go? Business is the major...

A: For an MBA, you will want to find the best school that is AACSB accredited and that you can afford. Here are some schools for you to consider. Do a search to find their websites. East Carolina University - Cheap for NC residents, expensive otherwise University of Houston at Victoria - Cheap for TX residents, ok otherwise. Texas A&M University Commerce - Cheap for TX residents, ok otherwise. Oklahoma State University - Cheap for OK residents. Western Kentucky University - Same tuition for in-state or not. Mississippi State University - Same tuition for in-state or not. University of Nebraska-Lincoln - Same tuition for in-state or not. University of Massachusetts Amherst - Not too cheap but not too expensive either. Out of the above schools, the University of Massachusetts Amherst is probably the best. It is not cheap though. Tuition for an MBA will be a little over $25,000. Your next best option will be University of Nebraska-Lincoln or Mississippi State. Tuition at those schools will be in the $15,000 to $18,000 range. If you live in one of the states of the first three schools, those will be the cheapest. Good luck,

Q: Reputable online graduate degree programs?
I noticed that NYU has an online management and systems. But, I'm looking for something along the lines of marketing, graphic design, and communications. I have career experience (2-3 years), and my GPA my undergraduate program was weak. What REPUTABLE online degree programs are there out there for me? Personally, I am NOT looking for the classic online schools like Strayer, etc. I'm looking for programs that people wouldn't associate with "online school" when I mention it. Do I have any options? I'm NOT looking for "online degree screening" Web sites. I have tried those. I really am seeking specific examples of programs at schools. E.g. "Masters in Managment and Systems at New York University..." .. or the "State University of X has an online Masters of Communications and has alternative admissions criteria." As I said, I have ALREADY SEARCHED. I'm looking for SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF PROGRAMS-- and experiences others have had with those schools.

A: I got my MS in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University (www.indwes.edu). The school has been around since the 1890s. It is a faith-based program, but not a religious school (if that makes sense). I loved the program. They have a Bachelors in Marketing or an Associate's in Communication Arts, but I don't think they have Master's degrees in either. I am sure there are many more out there. Your work experience will help--the on-line programs are designed for working adults. I think I had to write a paper for admission, but I don't remember. Search for schools (ex: graphic design) and then see if they have on-line programs. Even Harvard has one now!

Q: Looking for a graduate degree in economics online from a respected university anyone know any?
Looking for a graduate degree in economics online from a respected university anyone know any? I'm not talking about Hatvard but at least a school with a decent academic reputation. Do any such programs exist?

A: I have not heard of any degrees in Economics online.

Q: did you ever take a graduate degree online?
is it a good idea? Should I just stick to on campus classes? I am looking at MBA in HR from Strayer University.

A: With an MBA, perhaps even more than with some other master's degrees, the reputation of where you get that degree can affect your career. For example, some employers, such as Proctor and Gamble and Intel, and many consulting companies, won't even look at you if your MBA was from a school that is not AACSB accredited (others, of course, don't care, but some *really* care.) The general rule is that you want to get into the best MBA program that you can. MBA employers also seem to strongly prefer that you did the MBA in person. But if you must do it online - if you have no choice - then at least get your MBA from a reputable, brick and mortar university; and not from a school that's famous for being online, or for profit, or academically weak. So in other words, not from Strayer, if you can avoid it. It'll open up more opportunities in the future, if you can go to a program run by a brick and mortar university. Going to one run by an online uni can actually close some doors. Ideally, find an AACSB accredited MBA program that you can attend in person. If that's not possible, and you must go online, then find an AACSB accredited MBA program that also grants MBAs online, such as: UMass Amherst, Northeastern, Renssealer Polytechnic, Worcester Polytechnic, Duke, U Maryland, Penn State, U Arizona, etc. I'll link to a complete list of AACSB accredited programs, below, to get you started. You'll need to go from there to find out which ones offer online MBAs. A decent number of them do, including the schools I listed, above.

Q: What are the best brick and mortar universities offering online graduate degree programs?
As I am currently living overseas and I will have to stay for a long time, my only chance to get my degree is to enroll in an online program. I used to go to AMU (American Military University) for my Bachelor's and I was very satisfied with the quality of education they provided but I was just wondering what other universities other people would recommend for someone seeking a graduate program? (preferably in Finance or International Relations) I am looking for a regionally AND nationally accredited institution that has a real campus. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I would also appreciate if someone could tell me if there are any other important criteria I should be aware of regarding online/distance education. I am very grateful for providing so many links and I am sure there are many good programs but these are not related to my field of interest, which is International Relations or MBA in Finance.

A: There are tons of online programs. I personally attended American Intercontinental Univ. and Capella University, and teach for the University of Phoenix. All three are accredited and solid programs. Online courses tend to vary in price, so we could say they are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies. The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am nearly finished my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later. You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!

Q: What is a good online university for a graduate degree?

A: IGNOU.

Q: Can anyone suggest a decent online college for a graduate degree?
I want to get my Masters but would prefer to do it online. Many of the online Universities are in it for the money and really do not provide a decent education.

A: Penn State and Drexel are both great schools that offer online graduate and undergrad programs. Do your research and you'll find that allot of great schools now offer online programs.

Q: graduate online degree programs?
What are some good college/universities to attend for graduate online degree programs

A: The only one that is widely respected is the Open University in the UK for graduate degree programmes. Take a look at their website, it is all there.

Q: how can i get free online graduate degree?

A: May be this site can help you http://www.a1onlinecourses.com

Q: Would my resume look better with an Graduate degree from an online school or from a traditional campus school?
The question is mainly directed to individuals who are involved with HR, Recruiting, and/or Hiring. And by "better" I mean more likely to get an interview.

A: You do realize many traditional schools offer online degrees, but in general I would not attend any school that has an 800 number and advertises during Jerry Springer. But seriously, University of Florida has an online MBA program and I'm sure many others do as well. And all your resume would read is MBA from UF.

Q: Online graduate degree in English and Literature?
I live in NC and my undergraduate major is elementary education. I'd like to get a masters or doctorate in English or Language Arts, but I want to teach while I get that degree, so I'm looking for something online. I've thought of all the colleges around here and seached their sites, but I can't seem to find anything. Any ideas? And I want something legit...not an ALL online university, like Walden. Just an online program from a state or private college. That'd be great. Thanks in advance! :)
