Q: Do we really need to have a good grades to get Masters degree?
My friend would like to get her Masters degree online, she asked me if I think that they will accept her though she failed in some subjects when we were in college. She had a good job right now and wants MBA for advancement. Does anybody knows the answer?
A: It does depend upon the school. But there are also other circumstances. For example, was your friend really young in college? Has she shown a great deal of maturity since then? Many universities will provisionally let an older (non-traditional) student into a masters program with less than stellar grades if they have some letters of recommendation and they speak to the admissions people about how much they have changed and matured.
Q: Online Masters Degree?
Which online institution(s), universities, or online masters degree programs have you heard good references about? Please share your firsthand experiences with me, not third hand gossip. Thank you!
The masters I am pursuing will be in clinical psychology.
A: Much depends on what major you're looking at. Stanford teaches engineering master's online and you can't beat that. Harvard has an IT master's almost entirely online. Duke has an MBA online. Columbia does education master's online. Oxford has International Human Rights Law master's online. Some of the best colleges in the world are teaching their master's degree either entirely or substantially online.
That's the key. The best respected online programs are at the best respected colleges. The least respected are at the least respected colleges. In the middle, there are tons of colleges offering master's degrees that are neither top of the line nor bottom of the barrel.
For example:
University of Massachusetts
University of Florida
Cal State - Dom. Hills and East Bay
Florida State University
SUNY
East Carolina U
Indiana State
Oregon State
U Alabama
U Texas
U Wyoming
Clemson University
Marshall University
West Virginia
Old Dominion
Pepperdine
U Illinois
U Maryland
U Michigan
U North Texas
Webster
there are 1000s of colleges teaching online these days and many offer complete master's online.
My favorite search tool for finding online programs is at Petersons.com http://www.petersons.com/distancelearning/code/search.asp
You are not restricted to those "as seen on TV" online degrees. The best colleges in the world (and probably your own State U) are teaching online now.
Q: online masters degree english?
What are some good college/universities to attend for online masters degree english
A: There are tons of online programs. I personally attended traditional and online-only schools, and I have taught for various online schools and traditional schools over the last five years. All are accredited and solid programs. Schools tend to vary in price, so we could say online schools are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies.
The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am close to finishing my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later.
You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!
Q: Employers, how do you view an online degree?
If you see an applicant with an online degree, are you skeptical? Because of my work schedule, I need to do a masters degree online. But as an employer, do you value an online degree as much?
A: That depends.
Taking online courses at an established accredited university, you will receive a physical diploma.
Taking online courses through an online college, you won't need to worry about issues with your employer viewing your diploma, because they won't have any interest in doing so. Online diplomas are a joke.

Q: How much does an avearge online masters degree cost in the U.S.? I'm looking into a masters in education.
A: Think about other fields other than education. for what you are going to pay for a masters it's not worth it.
Q: Is an online Masters degree considered as valuable as a traditional Masters?
A: some places yes, if the course load is similar to the same as if you attended. it is about the time and effort put into the degree rather than where.
Q: Which university you recommend for taking online respectful masters degree for students outside USA?

Q: is it any way that a student can buy a masters degree online without doing the work?
A: Yes, there are places that will sell you a degree.
Cost to the seller: 10 sheets of paper, some ink, and a diploma holder - $20.
Amount they charge you: $250 to $1,000.
Actual value: $0
Some states have also started to outlaw the use of such degrees. For example, in Florida, using an unaccredited degree to get a job or a promotion is considered fraud. If you're caught and prosecuted, you could spend up to five years in prison.

Q: Online Masters Chemistry degree?
Im gonna be getting a BS in Chemistry in the next year or so, and was wondering if there were any online masters degrees for Chemistry. My grades are kinda shi$@# and don't know if I can get into a program somewhere. Any advice would be appreciated.... thanks
A: Do you seriously think that you will be able to do labs online???
Q: Does an online Masters degree carry the same weight as a conventional one? Does it carry any weight at all?
A: First thing you need to look at is the program accredited online? If it's not, I'd steer clear of it. I know there are alot of programs where you do most work on and take modular classes (for a week or two) on campus. Maybe that is a possibility. But I'd make sure the program you are looking at is accredited and do they give the same degree to those who take it on campus.
Q: I would like to hear from people who got an online degree (preferably Masters). What was the experience like?
Most importantly:
What was your degree in?
Do you now think you would be better off going a more traditional route?
Did an employer help with the cost?
Did it take you the time they said it would to get the degree?
Were there any major problems?
Most importantly:
Which online college did you "attend"?
What was your degree in?
Do you now think you would be better off going a more traditional route?
Did an employer help with the cost?
Did it take you the time they said it would to get the degree?
Were there any major problems?
A: I am taking on-line classes now to get my degree in Business. I want to a college campus for 2 years and as much as I may have liked it, I like taking on-line classes even better. If you are young and this is you first college experience go to a college campus so that you can get that experience, but if you have done that than let me tell you have much easier going to school on-line makes my life. I do not have to take the time to drive to and from campus I do not have to rearrange my work or life to make room and time to study for classes. Because I have all day to do an assignment and I am giving my assignment for the classes before the classes start I can do everything early. If you have a family, job, and a thousand other thing that you have to do each day I say go for it. Some jobs help with the cost mine did but I was also able to get grants. I am to get my degree in December only two years and that was because I had to take refreshment classes and I had to take a break because of the hurricanes.
Q: where is top ten masters degree online?
A: First of all, it depends on what kinds of master's degrees. You can't compare a degree in Nursing to one in Business. Secondly, no one yet has come up with a reasonably reliable way of judging online programs. Your best bet would be to look for traditional schools which offer online versions of the degree you are looking for along with their on-site programs. These are generally better, and cheaper, than any of the for-profit institutions which advertise heavily.
