Q: What are some schools in California that offer Master's degrees in Accounting?
I'm finishing up my bachelor's in Accounting this December, and am looking for some universities in California to apply to for my Master's in Accounting. What are some universities that offer Master's degrees in Accounting in California?

Q: what jobs do master degrees offer?
i know there are many masters degrees out there, but witch will help get me a good paying job, and keep excitement in my life? and what do i have to study to get it?

A: degrees don't offer jobs - some jobs require degrees. Go about this process the other way - ask "what degree is required for the job I want". You can get a job as a waitress or bartender with an MBA -- it won't pay any better than without the MBA. You could also get a job in finance or banking with an MBA; it would pay a lot more than being a waitress. Picking a degree and then looking for the job is the wrong approach. Surf the Occupational Outlook Handbook http://www.bls.gov/OCO/ and find what you want to do for a living. THEN get the education required to get that job. ☺ Add: Peter, $6000 per year over a 40 year worklife is almost $1/4 Million. That's assuming we give no value whatsoever to the education received as it's own reward or the shift in social status that results. Then too, there do exist some jobs that require a master's degree. We also have to consider that those median numbers apply to the entire workforce and not specific professions. The value of a quality MBA is very much higher than the value of a tier-4 MEd. That said, $250,000 for 1.5 additional years of college sounds like a pretty good deal to me. That's why I got myself two of those master's degrees. ☺

Q: Which is the difference from International Relations and International Affairs master degrees? None? Some?
I cant understan the difference, if there is one.

A: Master's degree programs are highly specific. It's impossible to tell how similar those programs are just by their name. If you want to know how similar or different they are, you will need to get the information from the university's web site or request information from them. Then, take a look at the courses and work required of you. I'm tempted to say the two will not be terribly different, but only the information from the university you are interested in will be able to tell you.

Q: Is it true that people with Master's degrees have trouble finding jobs nowadays?
Is life getting THAT much more difficult?

A: Relatively speaking this is true with nearly all degrees out there. Even Ph.D's. It used to be a Ph.D was a shoe-in to become a professor at a college. Nowdays this isn't even true anymore. It's extremely competitive even at that level. An advertised professorship might have dozens of qualified applicants applying. Lots of unemployed Ph.Ds looking for work today when that was totally unheard of not that long ago. There's just more people out there with advanced degrees than in the past and it's increasing. Not just in the US and the western world as we know it, but from so-called third world countries as well. It's ultimately all about supply and demand.

Q: What universities offer a master's degrees in marine biology?

A: http://www.marinebioms.neu.edu/ http://gradcatalog.umaine.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=22&poid=2743&bc=1 http://www.cofc.edu/~marine/ http://www.umassd.edu/cas/biology/ Those are just a few! I just finished my master's degree in Biology, and I have a few words of wisdom. First and foremost, choose an advisor you want to work with rather than a school. Look up the schools which offer the MS in marine biology, then find faculty members and read up on their research interests. Find someone who is doing research you are interested in, and contact them to see if they have any available positions. It is good to check to see if those advisors also have been recently published, and if they have students on their web pages, then contact some of the students and talk to them about how they like the program/advisor. Since you will be working with your advisor almost exclusively, it is important you choose someone who you can work with. I actually talked to a few of my undergrad professors and got ideas about people in my field (medicinal plants) to contact. Good luck!

Q: Can anyone give me an advice on taking a master's degrees?
I am currently taking up engineering at an Aeronautics school here in my country and I also plan to take up flying lessons. But aside from being a pilot, I want to be familiarized with handling aviation organizations involved in airline companies. I know it demands a course on management or in business administration. Can I ask, do I really need a master's degree or any minor programs that could help me be familiarized in having a managerial position? Thanks! :-)

A: Yes you can ask to see if you really need extra classes. They extra classes will never hurt. Logistics is another type of study you might want to check into. The company you are looking into may have a intern program. So, definitely ask.

Q: Is there a program in which you can earn both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees?
Is there an Industrial/manufacturing Engineering program in which you can earn both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees? How long Is it? How much does it cost me? Which college would you suggest? Thank You.

A: Don't know about your particular degree, but many schools let one combine the BA/MA or BS/MS. You would typically do the first 3 years in the undergrad program and start taking courses counting towards the masters during the 4th year, then you would finish in the 5th year. Sometimes you don't even have to apply for the joint program until your 3rd year. You would have to check with the specific school you attend or plan to attend.
