Q: Which is the best college I can learn ONLINE ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NURSING IN TEXAS with few contact classes?
Online Associate degree in nursing Texas
A: Ummm... Unless I'm mistaken, any online course for nursing will involve a lot of hands-on classes since with nursing, you need to practice a lot of techniques and whatnot. So good luck but I wouldn't be too hopeful.
Q: where can i get an Associate of Science degree online for Physical Therapist assistant?
A: If you plan on getting a job with that degree, you need some hands on experience that you cannot get online.
Q: Can I take online class to get a associate degree in Nursing?
I never finished college due to my work schedule and I have to work but I can take online class. I would like to be in the medical field like an RN or something close to that. Will that be possible for me?
A: yes
Q: Is there a way to get an online Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts? I live in New York.?
willing to go to campus 3 times a week or less..in addition to online.
I work full time by the way.
A: It doesn't matter where you live if you want to get an online degree. Just look for reputable schools.
Plenty of community colleges in New York state offer online degrees that would give you in-state tuition rates. If you are willing to go to campus for some classes, pick a college nearby. That would give you lots of flexibility.
Q: Is there anyone out ther taking the Medical Assistant Associate Degree with Penn Foster College online?
If so, how do you like it?
A: Sorry, I am not ...... wish I could help more ...... = )
Q: Can anyone tell me what is a good online college to obtain an associate degree?
Have found a few that seemed good. Checked reviews and found they either charged more than others or some other neg. info about them. Many dont accept gov. grants. Please help if possible
A: The key is to make sure the college/university is accredited. I have three basic recommendations for everyone looking into online/distance education. They all have to do with exploring; after all, you have to defend your assets.
1. Make certain that you have triple checked their accreditation. First, they tell you what it is, then you go to that accrediting body’s website (not through the link provided by the school), and thirdly you would visit the department of education to see what they have to say. Do your diligent research into the institutions once you have narrowed down to a couple. You can look at the Better Business Bureau for more information on the college.
2. You must have extreme self motivation and be able to teach yourself per say. This means that you will not have someone telling you verbally, so it is up to you to get the information from the course room, text, and other resources. The best way to look at it is like a guided independent study course.
3. Review your goals, personal and professional. Make sure that the school that you are going to offers the programs that match your goals. Do not settle. There are many programs that are similar, but you have to make the ultimate decision. Do not let it be based on finances and length of program, but the fact that when you are finished or near finished you will be able to assume your proper place in the career field sought.
You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!
Q: Can you get a degree online in a year without having another degree first?
I see these ads to earn your degree in a year but when you go to them it is for a bachelor's or a master's or something that you already have to have at least an associates for. Is there some online college or a school with an online program where I can get an associate's degree in a year? I'm just tired of trying to cut through bs.
A: There is a way to get a regionally accredited associates degree in liberal arts in a year, but it will be a lot of work. From there, you will be able to enroll in a regionally accredited online bachelors program from a state school.
Go to one of the following three schools and get their catalog and degree requirements for an AA degree in liberal arts.
Excelsior College - www.excelsior.edu
Charter Oak State College - www.cosc.edu
Thomas Edison State College - www.tesc.edu
Then go to http://www.collegeboard.com and look for CLEP tests. Get information on all of the different CLEP tests and try and match as many as you can to the degree requirements. Also, go to http://www.getcollegecredit.com and try and match DSST tests to other degree requirements.
Once you have an idea of what tests you will need to take, go to Amazon.com and order study guides. Also, go to http://www.instantcertonline.com and sign up for the online study materials. You can ask questions at the forum for instantcert at http://www.instantcertonline.com/forums/ The forums are free, you don't have to subscribe to the study materials site, if you don't want to.
There may be some courses that you will not be able to meet using CLEPs and DSSTs. Fill the rest with independent study courses at LSU. http://is.lsu.edu
Good luck
Q: I want to go to an online school for my associate degree and $ aid please help me choose! thanks in advance?
online college degree and also financial aid
A: Regardless of delivery method (on ground, online, hybrid), a higher ed institution in the US can have 3 institutional accreditation statuses.
1. Regionally accredited - the highest and most useful.
2. Nationally accredited - real, but not as recognized or useful. Yes it is less than regional accreditation, which isn't intuitive.
3. Unaccredited
Be sure to check here before you enroll: http://www.chea.org/search/
A school that is properly accredited is also eligible for Title IV (Federal Student Aid).

Q: Whats a good online college/school to get an associate degree?
i want a degree either in the medical field, dentistry, or something kind of quick. i would appreciate any suggestions on what to do
A: Kaplan University online is great...I attended there and had a wonderful experience.
Q: how long does it take to finish online college with an associate degree?
A: comment: Why won't AIU credits transfer - they're regionally accredited (for the time being)?
The question is how long.... not where. Why are all of the answers about where and not how long? Not that they are bad answers about where but they aren't the answer to the question. Do y'all do this on tests and wonder why you don't ace them?
An associates degree generally requires 60 semester hours of credit. If you complete 15 hours (normal full time load) per semester then it takes 4 semesters. If you attend somewhere that allows a full load in the summer session then it can be done in summer - fall - spring - summer. If you max the course load to 20 hours per semester, you can reduce time to 3 semesters - but this would be very hard to accomplish.
Bottom line - 1.5 - 2 years of full time study unless you are able to test out of a significant portion of the study or you have some transfer coming in.
Q: Would getting a degree online affect my chances of getting into a four year College?
I am planing on attending Northern VA community college for an Associates degree in IT but I would start out on campus then finish the rest of the degree online because I am gonna be in India for a while.
How do online classes work? Are they hard?
A: In my experience, online classes are much worse than lecture classes. Most professors justify giving mountains of work and stringent grading criteria because the class is taken from the "convenience" of home. You might find that online classes will be more time consuming and difficult than a traditional class.
Furthermore, you will not have lectures in which the professor highlights important information that will likely be on the test. So when you study for a test, you are going to have to study everything equally, even the less important things, because you never know what will be on there.
However, I am of the opinion that it makes perfect sense to at least partially do IT degrees online. And online classes in general should be treated with more respect than they have been. They demonstrate independent work ethic at its finest.
Q: What do you think about getting your degree online?
I want to gat my associate of science degree online through Penn Foster college.
A: if u r hoping to get a good job someday in a competitive field ..ur online degree myt be an disadvantage for u.if u really cant go to a university look for the best online universities n start a program..for eg when u r a graduate of a good uni u have more acceptance n also working n competing with other students in a class room is much more effective than studying alone.however if u r a person hu loves self studying and if u r good at it online degree wont be such a bad idea.
Q: How expensive are online colleges? I'm interested in getting an associate degree?
Maybe in the art institute
but how expensive are they?
thanks
A: It is rare an art institute will have an online college.
Select an online college that is part of a regular university. Some of the online only colleges are getting accusations from companies and alumni that they are "diploma mills". Most universities now offer at least half of all of their courses online.
Q: I have an associate's degree in Respiratory therapy. Which degrees could I do online for 1-1.5 years?
I was looking for any source which could give me any Bachelor's degree online...but for cheap. I know that colleges like Phoenix University and Devry University and colleges like that are expensive. I was hoping to get a degree in respiratory therapy online but they are for 2 years. Any ideas?
I need a program which can get me a degree in 1.5 years or less because I will be applying to medical school and if i do a 2 year program, I will be losing 1 year.
A: 2 years is not such a long way off from 1.5 years. Why is that such a problem?
Oh, I see. Check these sites out:
