Q: Where can I find an accredited online school for an LPN degree?
We are military so Iam living in Japan and it makes going to school hard. Any ideas or tips that anyone knows of?

A: I agree with the first poster. You might want to seek training while in Japan if you can find an english speaking program. You can take the NCLEX then. If you do get training outside of the country make sure you check with the state you want to have licensing from to see what will be needed. There are online programs for LPN to RN, or advancement of a RN degree but all required you have had a traditional degree/diploma first. I would also be weary of those programs alot of states don't accredit those programs, and some hospitals won't hire you with a degree from them b/c they don't think the clinical hours were sufficient.

Q: Who knows of an accredited online program for an associates degree for RHIT?
RHIT is Registered Health Information Tech....I am currently enrolled at a University where I attend part time. For various reasons, I need to go back to working full time but want to continue my education. I am looking for a University where I can do all my schooling on line. Can anyone reccomend some, or lead me into how I would go about finding one rather quickly? Thanks.

A: Here are some great online schools with health care programs. You'll probably be able to find the specific RHIT program that you're looking for: http://www.college-scholarship-hound.com/index.php?t=onlinedegreeprograms Good luck to you!

Q: I'm looking to get a computer science degree online from a regionally accredited school...?
I'm looking to get a B.S. in computer science from an online school that's regionally accredited, affordable, and a some-what high academic standing. I appreciate any feedback, thanks!

A: I would need the name of the school in order to answer this properly. There are a lot of different reasons to choose and not to choose a university.

Q: Can u tell me what website to go on to fine accredited shool to get an online degree?
Looking to pursue school again at 37, and want to do most if not all online, can you tell me a website that i could go on to tell me the best schools, maybe like a governent site or something

A: The only reputable online college programs are those offered through actual, real live, brick and mortar universities. The good news is that there are more and more state universities offering coursework, and even degrees, online. Look at your state university first. If it does not have courses that interest you in its "distance education" program, then look at other major state universities. Here are some superb links to guide you toward finding the right state university distance education program for you. http://www.r1edu.org/participants.asp http://www.nudc.org/aboutnudc.shtml http://www.sloan-c.org/index.asp

Q: Will Hong Kong accept a bachelor's degree from an accredited online college?

A: You should further specify your question. If it is really an accredited college (online or not) I believe the goverment officials would recognize the degree. If you are talking about employers - well that depends on the employer. If you are talking about continued education, it might depend on the university, generally I would expect yes though because you still would have to build one the knowledge you earned there, and if you fail noone cares, coz they still got your money. :)

Q: Looking for an Online Accredited BS Degree Program - Alternative & Renewable Energy - any suggestions?

Q: Is there a online nationally accredited school where i can use a pell grant to pay for a online degree?
such as pharmacy technician, child development, physical therapy assistant.....

A: Western Governors University is one... www.wgu.edu

Q: Do job employers care if you went to college "online" and got an accredited degree?
I found a perfect degree that I could get online from the University of Advanced Technology. ( http://www.uat.edu/UATOnline/ ) There are several reasons I don't want to go there physically, such as their location. Should I consider taking it online? And would financial aid etc. still work the same?

A: I would be wary..... Do some more research. It sounds as phony as guys who go to Med school in Grenada.

Q: Are there any accredited online schools offering a bachelors degree in journalism?

A: yes and no not a full degree there are schools that offer online classes you will still have to go to school.

Q: I'm looking for an accredited online BS Degree Program concentrating on Alternative and Renewable Energy? ?

A: I think University of Phoenix has a good program.

Q: how do you know if an online degree is legitimately accredited?

A: You first have to understand what accreditation is. If you don't want to bother with learning about that, then what you want is called regional accreditation. Anything else will not be as useful to you. Read here ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regional_accreditation Each of the regional accreditors has a web site that lists all of the schools that they accredit. It's really that simple to check. For example: contrary to what many people want to believe, University of Phoenix and Arizona State University are accredited by the same organization - the North Central Association. One need only look on the North Central Association's website to see. ☺ All suggestions that you call your state office of education or ask your high school counselor or etc... are a waste. Check the college's web page for who they say accredits them, check the link above to see if that's a regional accreditor, check that accreditors web page to see if the college is really accredited. It sounds like a lot of work but do you really want to trust "some guy" on YahooAnswers about whether you should spend tens-of-thousands of dollars on a college?

Q: Do you think that receiving a degree online will be looked at differently?
I just finished my degree online from a accredited college, do think employers would still hire me?

A: It will definitely be looked at differently. Online degrees often carry a stigma, but it usually depends on what degree you were awarded. For example, an online degree in something like Human Resources might be looked on more favorably than something like Clinical Psychology (just like a medical doctor, patients prefer someone who attended a traditional university). Though there's a stigma, I think you should be able to gain employment, just realize that based on the beliefs and stereotypes that employers have, other candidates who went to 4-year universities may have a one-up over you just based on that simple fact. But don't let the beliefs of others hold you back, as long as you have equal knowledge, experience, and education (as a well as a positive attitude) you should go far.

Q: What is a good online accredited college for an associate's degree in medical administration?

A: I can only speak from experience, I got my BS in management from the University of Phoenix On-line. I am continuing my education with them as well. They are a wonderful school with some really good programs and classes, it can not hurt to look! I wish you the best of luck.

Q: Anyone ever completed a BA/BS degree online. What school do you recommend?
I just got out of the military 3 years ago and have almost 40k worth of GI bill funds. Anyone have any experience using the GI bill? I would really like to find a regionally accredited online college but there are several hundreds of online schools out there and it's really hard to choose. Thanks in advance for the help!!!!!

A: You are right that there are many online schools. I always recommend that people check with local state schools first. Public state schools will be accredited and in many instances, they will be the least expensive option. If you wonder about a valid accreditation of any school, there are two places you can check. The Council on Higher Education Accreditation is one place that lists schools that are accredited by an acceptable accreditation agency. You can search the database at http://www.chea.org/search/search.asp The Department of Education also maintains a database of acceptable schools at http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/search.asp Here are some additional schools that you may want to consider. http://www.fhsu.edu/virtualcollege/ http://www.peru.edu/academics/programs_majors.htm http://outreach.uwyo.edu/ocp/ http://www.distance.msstate.edu/ http://www.distancelearning.ufl.edu/degrees.aspx http://www.apu.apus.edu/index.htm http://www.online.uillinois.edu/ The following forum has many members that have obtained online degrees. They will be more than willing to assist you in finding the right program. Registration and use of the forum is free. http://forums.degreeinfo.com/
