Q: (UK) What courses are there to offer in universities if I want to be a writer?
Please, a list of different courses would be great!
A: To be honest? There are no courses which will teach you to be a successful writer (I'm assuming you don't mean journalism or anythnig like that), and most novelists don't have writing qualifications
If you want to be a writer, sit down and write. What you need is practice and life experience.
Q: Can any1 Recomend UK Golf Courses With Hotel which are split into a set of 3 nine holes?
Hi guys.
We are a group of lads that go away playin golf for the weekend a few times a year. However some of the guys are older and struggle to do 18 hole in one go.
Can any1 recommend any places that are linked with a hotel where the courses are split into loops of 9 that allow seperate tee times for each 9. We have played a few where there are 3 loops of nine but struggling to find any others. Can any1 help?
Thanks
We live in essex guys so places with 2 to 3 hours drive would be best. Thanks
A: Assuming you are going in good weather! Matfen Hall in Northumberland is a really nice course which now has three nine hole loops, only down side is there is quite a distance between greens and tees which makes it seem longer. Lovely hotel also but not to be confused with cheap.

Q: How much do college courses cost in the UK?
I want to start college next September to study AS Levels, but does anyone have any idea how much college courses roughly cost? So I know how much money I need to put away and save up...
Tracy - once you're 19 or over, you have to start paying. You only get EMA up to the age of 18 too.
A: As far as I know, college courses do not require any fees, it is when you go into Uni that you have to start paying. Plus if you have the right set of circumstances you may be able to get up to £30 per week with EMA.
Q: What are the best Nutrition courses in the UK or London?
I want to enroll on a nutrition and diet course but i'm finding it difficult to find the right one. I come from a completely differnt background career wise so i have very little knowledge in that matter. I don't want to do the whole 3 years diploma so i'm looking for something that would be a little shorter but give me recognised qualifications. Please help!

Q: Are there any institutions in UK that offer courses on how to learn more effectively?
Whatever I am trying to learn, I'm sure I would benefit from advice or coaching on how to do so more quickly and effectively.
A: Lots of colleges do 'step into learning' courses.
They are a GCSE equivalent level, but are designed for people that have not been in a school or college for some time. I think you have to be over 21 to qualify.
At my local college there are general step into courses and specialised ones such as 'step into science'.
These courses are designed to be taken before you take the course of your choice.
Also go to your local Learn Direct Centre as they do basic courses.
Try searching Google for learning style tests.
People are said to learn in a number of different ways - some people are happy to sit and read, while others prefer more practical methods.
Find out what kind of learner you are and you may be able to teach yourself the best way.
Feel free to email me if you have any more questions
Good luck
Q: courses and modules for becoming a chartered accountant in the UK?
I have recently moved to the UK and i have finished my O levels. I am interested in pursuing a career as a chartered accountant here in the UK. i wanted to know what relevant courses and subject i need to complete and suitable training positions that would be necessary for the same.
A: Check out the ACCA and CIMA websites, they'll tell you everything you need to know.
Q: uk only. what courses in sixth form should i take which would give a variety and also lead to medicine?
i still want a variety of subjects but i want them to lead to medicine. and is maths essential, and if not would i stand out as a candidate if i have an a level in maths. Anymore things i need to know?
but i really don't want to do foreign language as i did 1 for gcse and am not too keen on history
A: In order to do medicine you need three out of maths, chemistry, biology and physics. Two of them can be any of those choices but one has to be chemistry. So really it depends, if you go for 4 A2 courses then the 4th can be pretty much whatever you want to give variety.
Q: Postgraduate courses at UK Universities, are they really 12 months?
I've been accepted for a course at a certain University which starts "Feb 08", but I've been informed by the University that graduation is not until "Dec 09", i.e. I shall not be an MSc until nearly 20 months from first starting my studies.
Can any one explain this contradiction please.
A: Most universities have a September start, but for different reasons, courses may start half way through the year. Normal Masters programme will take 12 months, so you are unable to graduate at the normal time of June (like Undergrads), so even though you finish your programme in Sept, you have to wait til Oct, Nov or Dec to actually graduate (depending on the university. Now, your course starts in February and will probably end in February (depending on the time it takes you to complete your coursework). I don't know why your graduation would be Dec instead of June, but I'm sure there are. Why not speak to the university and see what they have to say about it? I hope this helped a bit.
Q: What is the best college or university to take online college fully accredited college courses in the uk?
A: In the UK we don't really use the term 'college' and just say 'university' instead. You could try the Open University. It's the main correspondence-based university in the UK and has actually got itself a good reputation these days.
Q: car trimming car upholstery courses UK?
Does anyone know of any car trimming car upholstery courses in the UK, I can't find anywhere.
A: I'm not sure, but I know that there used to be a course run in Welwyn Garden City for vehicle restoration, but that was a few years ago.
Q: To become a member of air cabin crew what courses do you need to take in the UK?
i am shortly goin to leave my secondry school education and want to become a member of air cabin crew and i was wondering what courses i will need to take at college??? Also which UK airline would be good to start with???
A: Hi - To be a CCM (Cabin Crew Member) you don't need any college education at all. I started my career flying (As number 4) at the age of 18 with Ryanair and left them in December 2008 and joined Thomas Cook out of LGW (London Gatwick). You have to start from the bottom if you want to see the world. Not go str8 out there aiming for BA, Virgin.
But if you do want to do a course I would say Travel Related course would be handy, there is a lot to learn. From airport codes to cabin services.
Its not all glam and with most airlines you don't always get to stay in great hotel and see great places you have earn the right to do that, but I enjoy my job that's for sure, could not do the nine to five rubbish!!
Good Luck, hope to see you on a 757 one day soon!!!
