Q: Is it possible to arrive UK before my course starts?
I got UK student visa stamped on 5/02/2009.It is valid from 29/01/2009 but my course starts on 20/04/2009.The college informed me that,if I come early,I can do some preparation before my course and that will be beneficial for me.I plan to travel on 16 March 2009.Is it possible to arrive UK one month before my course starts?.
A: As long as your visa is valid on 16/3/09 (which it seems to be) then you are legal to be in the UK for that period.
Q: Where can I find a creative advertising writing course in UK?
Not looking for a full time course, rather a course based in London for 2 day duration or some evenings? It's for someone who wnats to become adept at writng leaflets and stuff.
Oh, and I KNOW you can't 'teach' creativity!!!!!
A: You certainly can 'teach' creativity ... you can teach how to take a different viewpoint or position in order to allow the creativity to come, and develop ..... as a teacher I have to be creative in the classroom every day in order to ensure my lessons are accessed by every person in that room .... in turn my 'creativity' inspires my students to be more creative by taking tips from my own that appeal to them and which they can use to meet their own needs - in so doing they develop their creativity..... that's what teaching is all about .....
With that in mind then, and bearing in mind your friend obviously doesn't want anything too high brow at the moment like a GNVQ or Diploma or Degree .... then you might find their needs are best served by what your local Adult Education centre may have to offer - their course durations and 'lesson' times are exactly those which would appeal to your friend ....
Good luck
Q: What is a good course to take to become a travel agent in London UK?
I can live between the UK and Canada on an ancestry visa. I wanted to know in London or perhaps in another city in the UK, what would be a good travel course ( certificate or diploma) I could take to get into the industry.
A: Go for IATA ticketing Course. This is the basic for Air Ticketing.
After completing this, you can Learn any GDS (Amadeus / Galileo/etc) through online free courses.
These are the basic knowledge you may need to enter into the Industry.
More than that you can opt for a Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Hospitality with any University.
Q: How many hours can I work with a UK student visa after I finish my course?
My course finished in June. My visa expires the end of October 08. How many hours can I legally work in the UK? Links will be very helpful for proof to my employer.
A: Can I work?
You can take part-time or holiday work, but you must not:
-work for more than 20 hours a week during term time unless your placement is part of your studies, has been agreed with your educational institution and leads to a degree or qualification awarded by a nationally recognised examining body
-do business, be self-employed or provide services as a professional sportsperson or entertainer, or
-work full-time in a permanent job.
So you can work no more than 20 hours a week
Q: Which is the best place to do a distance learning course in Uk??
I want to do a course in Human resource, Customer Relation and Business Management. Which is a good centre to do it from?? Which is recognised worldwide.
A: My sarcastic side says : Surely the best place to do a distant learning course is from home?!
However, the rest of me suggests Open University as a good point to start. It's what they do best. Or call up the HR dept of a market leader in a field that interests you and ask for advice. Sometimes, if it is a company you are interested in working for, they will consider supporting you through it while working part time. Then you have the best of both worlds, qualification and experience. To get ahead in HR, like manythings you need to get as much of both as you can. Textbooks are not the real world!
Good luck

I would like to know, if anyone can guide me the steps & possibilities around it. I have Nikon F80 SLR-Film camera & accessories.

Q: What is the best mountain bike course in the UK?
I am looking for a decent all round course 2-3hours for an average to experienced rider. I dont like big jumps or drop offs and I ride a all suspension XC bike.
A: Well if I knew where about you were I would be able to pin point a location for you. Are you near a trail centre? The majority of them do courses. Don't worry about drop offs. I never did any untill I was thrown in at the deep end at Glentress on the Helly Hansen V-Trail. You are over them before you know it and as you say that you have a full sus bike then it shouldn't be a problem.
Edit.
Just read your question again and now it looks like you are actually asking about what the best trail is. Sorry, thought you meant training course.
So yeah, Glentress rocks. The V-Trail as I said has some drop offs but is mostly climbs and some awesome decents and if it gets too much for you there are bail out points all around so you can take a fire road back to the car park. The Red route is pretty cool too with Spooky Wood being the highlight. Yeah it's all jumps but even someone like me who likes to keep both wheels on the ground loved it. You dont have to jump them, you can just roll over the lot but by the time you get to the bottom you are going to be trying your best to get the bike in the air.

Q: I've just finished levels 1- 10 on the skate UK course and was wondering if i should change my boots?
at the moment i have a pair of Jackson mystiques and i will be doing the skate uk star course
A: If you're happy with your Jackson skates then I would recommend you get the Jackson Classiques...
They are a really good skate for those who are working up through the skate levels and can aid technique... they do support you well while doing spins and jumps, also they are available with different blade combos, and the blades are fitted with screws so they are able to be changed if you want better blades in the future.
If you have any further questions, or need anymore information, feel free to email me
best of luck

I have been having extensions for a few years and am a big fan. I am looking to train in the fusion bond method (individual strands), i have found a one day course on application, blending and removal online for £400, is there any others or any reccommended courses?
Do you not need a hair qualification to charge people to do their extensions after youve been on the course?
A: yes its for hairdressers or people in training to be a hairdressers there so much more to it than just applying extensions, why not try a night school to get you started
Q: How much (Roughly) would it cost for an intensive driving course in the UK?
I would want the course to take place over a week and be able to do my test straight away at the end of it. Should be about 40 hours driving in total and in the Sussex area. Thanks
A: Expect to pay about £15 per hour. So if you need 40 hours that's £600 total. However if you can arrange the whole course with 1 instructor you may be able to negotiate a discount.
