im taking a summer course and it costs quite a lot, more than a normal summer course. its not a question of money, trust me they can afford it, its whether they choose to spend it. the due date for the cheque is coming up fast, how can i approach this topic cautiously yet firm?

A: I took it over the summer and loved it! A group of us hired a graduate student as our tutor and we met for class in the AM and with our tutor in the PM each day. It was intense, but I learned it better this way, than over the course of a 16 week semester. At first my logic was fewer weeks of "pain." So I was quite surprised when Statistics I turned out to be fun. I am not a mathematician, but did enjoy this class. Now when I read research papers, the graphs and text makes more sense to me and I can tell when their arguments are valid. "There's lies, damned lies, and statistics." -Mark Twain Best wishes.

I've looked on a few websites, and all of the schools I've looked at still have summer 2008's class schedule and rates.

A: It depends on the school, but in my experience I usually see the summer schedule for a college beginning in April or maybe near the end of that month.

Q: What course should I take this summer? Ideas for 16 year old girl?
I can only think of pttery and dance, and I have already taken them before. I want to take a course this summer. Do you know of any original or fun ideas of courses I could take? I really like singing, dancing, art things, drama and everyhting creative. I am not that good at sport and please no extreme sports Im scared to death of them lol. Any ideas? thanks!

A: What about a cooking class or a knitting class? How about a painting class? It's always good to learn new things to cook. Everyone has to eat, right?

A: I know you have metnioned that you are not interested in IT field, but then i would recommend you to learn some IT courses which will help you in your field . .. like AUTOCAD courses.

Q: How do I sign up for a community college for just a summer course before I go to a UC?
I wanna go to Contra Costa Community College just to take a class before I go off to UC San Diego. I'm scared that if I register for the school than that means I will be saying that I am going there for my actual college instead of a single class. I'm just really confused about the whole registration process. Any help?

A: No, just because you register at a community college, it doesn't mean that you are going to stay there. Heck, you can apply at a community college and not even take any classes. I've done it! Community colleges don't pick and choose their students like 4-years do so anyone who finished high school can apply. You don't have to go through the process you do at 4-year colleges. All you have to do is just apply to your community college, register for the class you want to take and take the class. By registering, you are not saying you are staying there. You are just saying that you are taking a class there. I went to UC Irvine and would take summer school at community colleges because it was much cheaper. Good luck at UCSD!

A: If it is a high school level course then I think it should. If it's a college/university level course then it would probably would be used as transferable credits.

Q: Should i take calculus as an 8 week summer course?
Is this course too intense to take as an 8 week course at community college? My alternative is to take it in the fall at Western Illinois.

A: Well if it were up to me i would take that course in the summer by itself so i don't have to worry of taking that course with other courses and concentrate on just Calc. I was taking Calc. in the evening this term with the rest of my scheduled classes in the morning. i had to drop because i couldnt handle all of the Calc. work
