Q: Are there any free courses that will qualify me as a computer technician?
For example - Comptia A+ or equivalent?

A: You get what you pay for! If you are not prepared to pay for a qualification and expect to become a "professional" for free... you are never be recognised or accepted by any reputable professional organisation. As a result your employment opportunities (including a client base if self employed) would be extremely limited - and I would go so far as to suggest non-existent... as you would have no credability.

Q: Do colleges offer free college courses to senior citizens?
I am 58, unemployed and need to pursue a different career. Is there any training available for one in my situation? I am not disabled but my old job caused physical stress that I can no longer handle.

A: The employment office in your state can offer you re-training if you qualify. Community Colleges don't offer free training, but scholarships are available - look online at your local community college, they should have a page dedicated to scholarships, how to apply, and what is available. So they're 2 resources - Unemployment office in your state and scholarships at your local community college. Good luck.

Q: Any free online courses or programs to enhance your vocabulary and seem smarter, by using bigger words?
I'm reading twilight, and they are some big words in that book. It expanded my vocab. I know reading gets you a better vocabulary, but is there anything else? I mean like, programs I can download, they give me 20 words. Memorize them, then play games and quizes. Then take a test. Anything like that? Anything like that, but a website?
