Q: What Courses that study foreign languages?
I just want to know the courses that study different languages.
How about the B.S / B.A Psychology? I know they are studying different foreign languages?
A: There is no course specifically for foreign language.
However, if you take linguistic courses you will be introduced to many, many languages.
Q: Aspiring to be a Pediatrician: What courses should I study?
I am aspiring to be a pediatrician, and am wondering what courses I should study later on. (I am currently in high school taking Biology.) Any suggestions?
However, a few, such as anatomy, chemistry, and pharmacology, I am already aware of.
Thank you very much for your time!
A: Make sure you get good grades. In high school just take the regular classes. When you get to college you need to take the pre reqs Generally they are bio, chem, organic, math, psy, Aand P, gross anatomy etc.
Again you need good grades and a good score on the MCAT, Then you apply to med school. You will then go to med school for 4 years. Apply for a pediatric residency. Complete a 4 year residency in pediatrics. You will rotate through the pediatric specialties such and neonatal, adolescents, GI, GU, ENT, neuro, ortho, etc. Then you can complete a fellowship
Good luck

Q: What courses/background study should I do, to become a Medical Device Consultant?
I am currently employed with a degree in Optical Technology, and have 11 yrs work experience. Of this, I have 6 yrs experience specializing in customer telecom and datacom applications, with optical modules. I want to change career path, to become a medical devices/instrumentation consultant. I want to develop product specs, and consult with doctors/surgeons on requirements for medical monitoring and surgical equipment, then deliver this to engineering. I currently have no medical background. Although I have a strong background in lasers and optics, and most medical equipment now use a laser/optics. Any suggestions are welcome either from people already in this field or others.
A: I am in the Medical Device industry....started in Engineering, now in Marketing. In general, the two medical device topics that are the most difficult to understand and also the most important are:
1) Regulatory requirements - the product that you are working on may be classified by the FDA from Class I, which include basic products like bandages and syringes, to Class III, which generally are life-sustaining and /or invasive and probably require human-use clinical trials. These distincitions drive everything from the level of control (i.e. documentation, testing and oversight) that you will need over your design and manufacturing processes to the amount of time and money it will take you to get your product to market. www.fda.gov provides a pretty good overview of the requirements.
2) Reimbursement (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, etc.) - who will pay, how will they pay, how much will they pay. Everyone has an opinion on the state of medicine in the U.S., particularly with the elections getting warmed up, but rest assured that reimbursement for facilities and practitioners in the U.S. is complex.
In reality, you don't need to become an absolute expert at either of these topics, but you need to know the basics. Do not assume that medical professionals will understand these things either. Doctors generally don't need to know what it takes to get a medical device to market and don't really understand how they are being reimbursed.
Hope this helps!
Q: What A levels should I take in order to be able to study zoology/husbandry related courses?
Hi,
I'm currently in the UK in secondary school-year 11 and am trying to decide which A levels I should take. I'm interested in working with animals, whether its research, looking after them (husbandry) or somewhere along the conservation route. If anyone knows, please tell me which A levels I should take in order to be able to study zoology/husbandry/animal related courses at university?
A: Hi, I’m in year 12 in sixth form; I do chemistry, biology, math and English lite because I want to be a doctor. So here is my advice do 4 A levels:
1.Biology – this lesson is enjoyable and you learn a lot about the environment, the human body and animals.
2.English literature – is my favorite lesson and if you someday want to do research, then this will definitely improve on your analytical skills, and enable you to write informative reports on your findings. – the other good thing about English lit is it gives you ample opportunity to improve your vocabulary.
3.A language (maybe French or Mandarin), is useful if your working with animals you may need to speak a different language whilst traveling if you don’t already. Plus just having a language could boost your salary by thousands and make you a stronger candidate for ANY job.
4.Math’s- well I HATE it; but I do it anyway, its boring but it is the most desirable a- level for ANY university course or job, this will also help with your analytical skills, and is impressive on your CV or when apply to any university and if you decide you want to be a vet this is essential.
Good luck with your GCSE’s and I hope this helps
Q: What are some REALLY good study tips for science courses?
I am passing my science courses, but I would like to do better (ahem, like perhaps an A once and awhile) but I don't know what else to do to study. I write out my review several times, study in a group, read over my material and also make flash cards and quiz myself or have others quiz me. What else should or could I be doing to achieve an A?
PS- Grad school chemistry/physiology/pharmacology
A: Grad schools isn't about memorization. It's about understanding the material and being able to see connections. If you're not doing well, you're missing something. I did well in all my grad courses except quantum physics, because I had some mental block when it came to the relations between theories. I could do certain problems, but when confronted with something I hadn't seen, I often couldn't make the connection back to things I could recognize, or it would take me too long to do so and I'd have already blown the test. Along with pretty much everyone else, but still, I could see my problem.
Q: If it Possible to study two courses at the same time at the Imperial College?
I want to study,
*G700 Computing (Artificial Intelligence) Computing 4 MEng,
*F390 Physics with Theoretical Physics Physics 4 MSci
Is it possible to study these both at the same time?
If so can I study them both full time or does one have to be part time?
A: You will have to check the dates and times of the teaching sessions, if they clash in anyway the University will probably not allow you to do it.

Q: What are the courses one should study to became a fund manger?
I have done by graduation in Mathematics. Currently doing my MBA in Finance through Correspondence and working as a Market Analyst in a MNC.
I want to know about the courses required and to know whether correspondence courses will have any value to pursue. Also like to know about the work experience needed to enter into a fund management company.
Please provide all the information and if any biography of successful fund manager.
A: My ex husband is a "real" fund manager. He worked for a top NYC investment bank as a bond trader and established a lot of relationships and did extremely well on the job. When he left this high-stress environment, he worked for a while as a portfolio manager with a huge pay cut and then found a company that was willing to let him have the money to start his own fund.
Quite frankly, a correspondence degree is not going to look so good. You're competing against people with finance degrees from Columbia, Wharton, etc.
My best advice would be to get your foot in the door with a large investment firm, starting out in research, analysis, or something similar. They're generally interested in people with degrees in math and physics. Then build relationships and move up within the company. Most of what you need to know, you'll learn on the job and you'll be doing a lot of reading and restudying things while you work there.
Good luck.

A: You go to culinary school and then you apprentice to a chocolate master.
Q: after completing the diploma in electrical, how can i study BBA or MBA courses ?
i am a diploma in electrical engineering and i am very much interested in further study.i want to know how can i improve my career through such training or post diploma courses in electrical or electronics like PLC.
A: If you are an electrical engineer, I think it would be very much far from your field if you'd take a Master's degree in Business Administration. But, if you really insist on it, you may take a business course first. Much preferably, if you'd like to go for MBA, get a course in Accountancy or Business Administration. But since you are an Electrical Engineer, preferably you'd be okay if you'd get MSc. Mathematics.
Q: What are the good and demanded courses to study in International Relations?
A: Question back at you:
Are you looking into political relations a.k.a. diplomacy or into business relations?
Q: tell list of courses to study to become a web designer?
MY lifetime dream is to become wed developer or web designer, can any one explain in detail.
A: I'd look for courses in HTML/CSS, graphic design (especially geared toward Photoshop), and web programming/database courses (PHP and Ruby are particularly hot right now, as is the MySQL database). Content management systems are growing in popularity, so it's a good idea to become comfortable installing those (systems such as Joomla!, Mambo, WordPress, etc). Try looking for multimedia courses too (those that teach Flash, plus audio/video gathering skills). Oh, and e-commerce would be a good thing to learn also, if you haven't studied it already.
You might also want to get a little background in server technologies as well, so any general survey courses about the history of the Internet, the World Wide Web and servers (Linux, Unix, etc) would be a nice supplement.
I'm a web designer myself and I learned most of what I know on my own, outside of school by experimenting with my personal website and then later taking on freelance web design work. In college, I majored in multimedia journalism, which centered mainly around creating web projects for Flash, but I minored in Information Science which focused a little more on the technical side of things (HTML, CSS, etc).
I don't know what your school situation is, but I suggest you first look for some good web design books or websites, there are a lot of them out there (just search for "web design tutorials" on Amazon or Google). You can learn a lot on your own if you have the time and patience.
If you're looking into colleges, many local community colleges offer courses in web design...either you can enroll in a degree program or just take courses on your own time without enrolling in the program. I would check into your local community college system and see what they offer. Some may even have home-study/online courses!!
There are also 4-year liberal arts universities that offer web design courses, but the liberal arts schools tend to be quite broad and theoretical in their approach...in general, you'll learn the theory but spend less time practicing what you learn, in comparison to a community college/technical school. For example, I studied web design within the Journalism School...my college didn't have a strictly web design program because it wasn't a technical school. Both options have their merits, it just depends on what appeals to you the most.
Finally, many for-profit schools such as ECPI, Full Sail and The Art Institutes offer web design programs. I've never been to these schools, but just keep in mind that they can be quite expensive in comparison to the state community colleges and universities. I almost went to ECPI after completing my Bachelor's and their IT/Web Design program was $28,900 for 18 weeks. Ouch.
Good luck!
Q: i am working in railway electriication as a electrical engineer, . i want to know about the courses TO STUDY?
I AM A B.E GRADUATE WORKING IN A RAILWAY ELECTRIFICATION DEPT. I WANT TO HAVE SOME ADVICE THAT WILL HELP TO IMPROVE MY CARRER. I WANT TO GO TO THE MANAGEMENT SIDE SO I WANT TO DO SOME COURSE.. BUT I CANT CONTINUE THAT CLASSES IN REGULAR CLASSES.. ONLY I CAN STUDY IN OPEN UNIVERSITIES..SO I REQUEST U TO SEND ME SOME DETAILS ABOUT THE COURSES AND THE INSTITUTES (LIKE POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA OR MBA, ETC) IN OPEN UNIVERSITY SCHEME TO IMPROVE MY CARRER.
A: An MBA or Masters in your chosen field doesn't guarantee a move to management, but it can help. If you don't already have your PE license, that can help you stand out for promotion as well. As far as MBA schools go, the University of Phoenix is the most prevalent (Internet based) but there are many others, and you can easily search for them on the Internet. Keep in mind that any Internet degree will not carry the same accreditation as a standard university (AACSB accreditation). Keep in mind that many major universities now offer Executive MBAs (EMBA) that only require participation one to two days a week for eighteen months.
Q: Does anyone have any recommendations for bible study correspondance courses a person can take ?
I am looking to take some courses to improve. Does not have to be free
A: why not just pray, and take your direction directly from god? why would the father not speak to you?
he's all-powerful, and he speaks to the pope, and even enters the bodies of those evangelist stooges on TV, why not you?
Just write your letters directly to god. It works for santa.
