Q: Hi, kindly suggest some course or certification that I can take up to boosts my career?
I have done BE (Electronics & Communication) and MBA (Systems & Finance). I have 5 years of experience and am working in Business Process Management field. I am also ITIL Foundation and Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
I want to study further. Kindly suggest some course or certification that I can take up which helps me in my job and boosts my career.
A: Great – you are describing yourself as a life-long learner. There are many examples of individuals (Peter Drucker, W. Edwards Deming, Joseph M. Juran, Peter Senge, and others) who also study continually to improvement themselves. So congratulations.
Here are some of the items that I use:
Nightingale Conant – largest producer of audio training materials in the world. You might want to check with your local library to see if they have any materials produced by this group. Otherwise, you may wish to start buying some of their product and use them. I like to have stuff from them while I am driving to turn my commute time into study time.
Encyclopedia of Associations published by Gale Research (best found at your local library)
This reference lists thousands of professional groups in the USA (there are others for world groups). Look up any word or phase that you might be interested in and find the group(s) that deal in that activity. Contact them to see if they have any local chapters/sections and start attending meetings. You can also find what publications that they offer as well as any professional certifications, training, etc. that is in that arena.
Many engineering professional associations have certification exams for their field. Even if you do not want to take the exam, the organization may have a reference manual(s) available that could be used to study that field.
American Society for Quality (ASQ) – I mention this professional group specifically since you referenced Six Sigma. They have a large number of professional certifications available (including both Black Belt and Green Belt) and are known worldwide for providing resources and references relating to doing almost anything better, including some self-learning stuff. Once you pass say the ASQ SSBB (black belt) then try for the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and the Certified Manager of Quality and Operational Excellence (CMQOE). These are the top two and look very good on a resume.
Review the job postings for you local community college, college or university for adjunct faculty positions that you might be interested in teaching. This may sound strange, however, one of the best ways to learn is to teach others! By trying to explain what you think you know to others, it will help you understand the topic better yourself.
There are many other things that you can do to continually learn; the thoughts above are just thought starters. And with that, I would also suggesting finding other like-minded individuals in your area and starting your own mastermind group. That way you can all share information and resources that you discover.
Good Luck in your studies

Q: whats the best online certification course for wedding planning?
Hey guys i really want to take a online course and get certified for wedding planning.does anyone know of any good cheap online schools??please any help will be great also i want to all around be a event planner so if there is any courses for that please let me know....thanks guys:)
A: ??? Wedding planners are certified.
A good way to learn the business is to volunteer with non-profits for their swanky charity events. These charity events typically have caterers, music, decorations, etc, everything a wedding has. Plus they have rich donors, and rich volunteers, who may someday throw lavish weddings for their children. By volunteering you for one look like a do-gooder, and number 2, learn the business and learn the players, like the caterers and florists.
Q: Can anyone suggest any certification course for English language teaching?
I have a major in literature but i want to do something in language teaching. What kind of course can i do in English language teaching? What are the job prospects ? Thanks
A: I would highly recommend the CELTA course. Have a look here for some general info:
http://www.cambridgeesol.org/teaching/celta.htm
If you are coming over to Asia looking for teaching work (which I would also highly recommend), you may not need any additional qualifications to find a well paid job teaching English as a second/foreign language.
Job prospects are good, (I don't want to break the Community Guidelines by soliciting here, so send me an e-mail: info@ali-thailand.org, and I'll give you all the details) particularly in this part of the world.

Q: I want to do an international certification course ? Can somebody guide me on this ?
I have heard of programming courses like Java and dot net, and some courses of oracle. I am confused about what to do? Which field should I choose in information technology that suits me the best and I can perform well in the field. I am not able to decide what is best for me. Please provide me detailed information on the issue. I will be highly thankful for your valuable information and advice.
A: We cannot make the choice for you, if you think you're good in programming and you enjoy the work go for it, the same goes for networking, support, technician, web design and all the subjects.
Basically all you have to do is prioritize, see what you enjoy doing and what you're good at and base your decision on that.
You should be able to find a job doing whatever you specialize in in the IT industry so that shouldn't be an issue, the pay would be obviously be different but it's all a matter as to how far you're prepared to go and what your targets are.
Q: Generally how long does it take to complete an A+ certification course?
Is the exam that hard? Also how long should someone take to study to pass the exam?
A: The test is a piece of cake. There are actually 2 parts (or there used to be). A good A+ class should last 6 to 8 weeks I would think.
Q: What is the best Microsoft Certification Course to take?
My Husband is looking into training for MCSE. We were looking at computertraining.com, but that cost $27,000.00. That is a whole lot of money just for training to pass an exam. Does anyone know of a better place with a lower tuition?
A: KillTest offer the newest Version Q&A of MCSE . It's free.

Q: Is there any CCNA CisCo certification course in Kitchener or waterloo? I am tired of searching?
I would appreciate if you know any and let me know the address.
A: Cisco Networking Academy will show most of the college type places to learn the info. I wouldn't recommend a "boot camp" type for CCNA as you need it for a base knowledge, if you don't have any.

Q: Should I do my AFF skydive certification course at Perris Valley or Lake Elsinore?
I live in Orange County and would like to become a certified skydiver. Since Perris Valley and Lake Elsinore are really close to eachother, how do I choose where to go? Perris has a wind tunnel thing but Elsinore looks more laid back. I don't know. Can anyone who is unbiased (not an employee of either drop zone especially) give me their opinion and WHY that is their opinion? Thanks a lot.
A: I'm a skydiver. I live in Colorado and I have had the chance to jump at Lake Elsinore, but I've not had the chance to jump at Perrris. I loved Skydiving Elsinore. Very laid back, well run and safety first! I I felt more at home at Elsinore in 15 minutes then I have at my home dropzone in two years. So I would say Elsinore.
I've heard the Perris, as wonderful as it is, is more of a commercial dropzone and skydivers have a more of a community felling in Elsinore.
You can always do your AFF at Elsinore and wind tunnel traning at Perris. I just made a dozen jumps or so at skydive San Diego and they advertise the Perris Tunnel too. The tunnels are a great place to learn how to fly.
If nothing else, I would say take a weekend and just hang out one day at Perris and one day at Elsinore and see what you think. Then start your training. You could even do it at both, but I would strongly recommend that you stay at one dz until you earn your A license.
Based on what I know from jumping at Elsinore I would go back there without even thinking about going to Perris. I will have to make a choice and force myself to Perris. I loved Elsinore so much!
Enjoy your jumps! Keep jumping! See you at a boogie!
Blue Skies! Black Death!
Q: can anyone tell me what to expect at a lifeguard certification course?
I'm getting ready to take the class and i'm really nervous! i just want to know what to expect at the class and if there are any physical preparations i should make like exercise wise.
A: The first part is a 500 meter swim, Breaststroke and Front Crawl, continuous, no stopping. Build up your stamina. But if you're applying as a lifeguard, this shoul dbe a piece of cake. If it isn't you really shouldn't be a lifeguard. It's not timed, you just have to complete it.
The next is just memorization of rescue and first aid techniques and then the demonstration of them in the water. This is easy enough, you just have to pay attention and not be typing away with your cell phone. If you do fail the test, you can take it again and again until you pass. At least my instructor let us.
Overall just pay attention and be in shape. That's what you need. If you don't or aren't, then please find work as something else, because if you're unqualified sitting up on that chair, you're putting others' lives in jeapordy.
Q: Can you recommend a PgMP Certification prep course in Los Angeles?
I am interested in hearing your experience with the trainer and material covered. Was it worth the money? What would you have done differently before taking the course. Negative experience is welcome. Did it help you pass the exam?
A: Contact your local PMI Chapter and ask them.
You can find the local chapter at http://www.pmi.org
