Q: What kind of workload should i expect in nursing undergrad at york university?
Im interested into going into the nursing program at york university's health department. What kind of work are we going to be studying? complicated bio and chem stuff? or just general nursing stuff?
Im asking because im not super ultra good at chemistry or math, but im willing to try.
A: You will have to take inorganic & organic chemistry. Which is tough, but make sure you ask for tutoring if you're having trouble. Math is pretty basic. Math 101 & Statistics. Physiology & Anatomy is also needed. Go to the colleges website, and look at the School of Nursing requirements.
Q: In New York University what's the name of the school you go to to be a psychiatrist?
When I get older I wanna attend New York University (but I'm not really smart enough for a really good school like that) and be a psychiatrist. But which school do you have to go to to be that? I know you have to go to some sort of medical school, that's all I really know. And how many years of school is that? I have so many questions that need answers. I'd greatly appreciate it if you would answer my questions=] Thank you.
A: You would take up psychiatry in your residency period which lasts several years. But you first need to complete medical school which is four years. And to get into med school you need to have completed four years of an undergrad program with superior achievement.

Q: What are my chances of getting into New York University?
I'm not claiming to be a genius or anything, but I'm smarter than the average person in my class. I'm hoping to graduate as the Valedictorian and I have yet to take my S.A.T---I expect to make at least a 1400, which is just above the average. I'm involved in my community. I'm a Hispanic male from San Antonio, Texas. Considering everything listed above, do you think I have a pretty good chance of making it into the university of my dreams (New York University)?
A: A 1400 on the SAT is not average; 1500 is. But NYU is looking for 600s in each of critical reading, math, and writing; so try to shoot for at the very least an 1800. Since you didn't take the SAT nor listed your GPA I can't tell if you would get in or not. I'll put up a very useful link.
Q: Is it hard to maintain a good GPA at York University?
I know that the TA's in U of T are really hard markers, but I'm not sure about York and Ryerson. Is it more possible to get good marks in those two universities? Specifically in a BA program.
A: I'm sure its not hard. If you have your priorities in order and seek tutoring when needed. I'm sure you can keep your grades up. Touching base with the professor doesn't hurt either.
Q: How to get to York University?
Does anyone know how far York University is from the train station and how easy it would be to get to?
A: If you mean the University of York, I would get a bus. They leave from outside the station. If you get confused just ask people in the station, eventually someone will help you!
If you mean York St. John University I would walk, just use google maps to find your way, it's not too far and you will get to see some of the sights on the way!

Q: How do you get to York University from Union Station via subway?
I need to plan an alternate route to York incase the Go Bus go on strike. I am coming from east of Toronto to Union..
A: The 196, 106, and Viva Orange buses would all take you to York University's main campus from Downsview subway station.
It'll cost you $2.75 altogether to get from Union Station to York taking the subway, then the 196 or 106 bus.
If you take the Viva Orange bus from Downsview, it'll be another $2.75; you buy a ticket from a machine on the main level of Downsview Station, but I take the Viva bus all the time without paying... they never ask to see your ticket... but if you don't want to risk it, take the 196 or 106.
Q: Is New York university a good college to major in journalism?
I'm having a very difficult choice deciding what college I should attend. I want to be either a writer, or a journalist for some big paper. New York is just the place that popped into my mind.
What are some other good colleges to major in such a field?
also, I have good grades. GPA has been a solid 4 point.
A: Columbia University (in New York) is internationally known for its journalism department. Also take a look at Northwestern in Chicago.
Q: toronto--safe places to live not far from york university?
planning on moving from main street area because im going to york university in september. what are some safe areas to live and unsafe areas that are not too far from the university?
A: Stay away from living near Main Campus (Keele and Finch). A good area, close enough to campus but far away enough is Bathurst and Sheppard. Lots of affordable apartments arouind there, lot's of good food and it's pretty safe. It's a well established neighborhood with a lot of culture. That's what I'd suggest.
By the way, I went to York too, Calumet College, class of '99. Have a good time, it's great University.
Q: Strengths and Weakness of New York University, American University, and University of Washington?
I am interested in genetics, international relations, and sales. I would like students and staff to tell me there opinion of the undergraduate education offered at each University.
A: Well your interests i must say are very varied and I would strongly recommend speaking to somebody in these university personally.
infact i discovered one platform which might help you in doing that . www.voicetap.in connects people who need guidance to the people who are experts or have relevant background in the concerned field ..
i guess that might help you ...
