Q: What is the best frat to pledge at Western Michigan University?
I'm a first year transfer student at Western and I'm looking for a kickass frat to pledge.

Q: I went to the University of Western Ontario. Can I get into Harvard?
I heard that the graduate admissions people over at Harvard look at the previous institutions that the candidate attended as part of the admissions process. I went to the University of Western Ontario. Is that going to be a problem?

A: The top graduate schools do consider the quality of the undergraduate institution. Western Ontario is considered a top ten university in Canada -- so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. That means you only need to worry about having great grades and a high GRE score.

Q: About getting into Western Washington University?
I'm a junior but I've visited Western Washington University and I really liked the school and it's where I wanna go. However, I know it's gotten a lot harder to get in there recently. My cumulative gpa is about a 3.4 and I'm taking AP and honors classes this year. I do extra curricular activities, I live in Washington(not sure if they consider that or not) and I'm doing a lot of SAT prep so I can get at least a decent score. My question is, would that be good enough to get in there?

A: WWU is a public university, so it is funded by the state of Washington. Coming from Washington will in fact help you. They accept 72% (or roughly 3/4 of their applicants). The 1/4 they reject are pretty much the people who don't take any honors or ap classes. If you do OK on your ACT/SAT (over 22 (ACT) or 1500 (SAT)), I would almost guarantee admissions for you. Good luck.

Q: what does your gpa need to be to get into kase western reserve university in cleveland ohio?

A: probably need to at least be able to spell the name of the university correctly. case western reserve.

Q: Do you find it a bit strange that many degree from western University is not recognize in Malaysia?
and yet it's recognize in Singapore.Do you know that degree and Master from MONASH University Malaysia Campus is not recognize in Brunei. And this foreign University is much better than Malaysia Uni. such as University Wales, Portsmouth, and etc To gab I'm serious one of my friend from Brunei took his degree from Monash Uni Malaysia Campus and when he graduate his degree is not recognize by the Brunei higher education department as a result he have to take his master in Australia in order to get a job in Brunei

A: This is strange. This happen to UK degree as well. Some of my friend from Civil Engineering field also suffer the same thing. If u graduate from that University U have to study up to master degree in order the degree you received is recognize by the IEM or BEM. Before any one attending any western university, I would recommend you to go to education department to check the University and the degree is recognize. Make sure you check both.

Q: Do you absolutely need 2 years of a foreign language to get into Western Washington University?
I realize it is a requirement to have two years of a foreign language to get into Western, but is it still possible in anyway to get into the school?

A: Press shift then f2

Q: What do you know about Western Governors University?
Hi, I'm looking into getting my teacher certification/MA (I already have a BA) and I was looking for respectable online universities and I came accross this one. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it respectable? Is it a good idea?

A: WGU was created in the 1990's as a joint project of 19 governors in western US states and territories, so it's accredited and that's the most important thing.

Q: Anyone ever transferred to Western Illinois University? How strict are they with accepting college credits?
I want to transfer to this college because it is closer to home and cheaper. I am curious if they are strict with accepting college credits from other universities. I am a junior and really hope they take most of my credits. Have a 3.5 gpa and staying at my current school is no longer an option (just got out of the service and moved home)

A: I just got accepted for the spring semester. If you have Illinois college credit from community college or public university they have to accept the credit. Make sure the credits you have can be applied towards your major. The WIU website has an online catalog for the classes needed for each major. You must have at least 30 credit hours from WIU to receive a bachelor's degree. In terms of them being strict, My cumulative GPA is a 2.3 and they let me in. Enough said.

Q: university of western onterio as good as the university of toronto for a first year?
I wanted to go to the toronto one but my dad says that its only good at the graduate level and it also costs a lot more money to live in toronto but i know he is good for it. I'm already accepted to the main campus of the university of western onterio but i'm skeptical to whether i'm making a mistake I left high school with 88% so i could probably get into anywhere

A: Your dad is right... University of Toronto is much, much more renowned for their graduate studies and research work than their undergraduate programs. Many students actually decide to pursue undergraduate degrees elsewhere (for a better GPA because U of T is a GPA killer) in hopes of going to U of T for graduate studies. Also, if one of your priorities for post-secondary studies is to experience the "university life", Western will provide you with a much more traditional, vibrant and sometimes wild student life. U of T's student life is much more based OFF campus, in downtown Toronto. Anyways, all in all, you are not making a mistake going to Western... it is a great school and your university experience will be amazing. P.S. an 88% will get you into MOST programs, but not all... some programs at McGill, UT, Western, Queen's, MAC, UBC, Waterloo and others require a MINIMUM of 90, with tons of extra-curricular work.
