Q: Why do people talk down on University of Phoenix so much when its Regionally acredited like State Universities?
I know sooo many people who have gotten great careers by receiving bachelor and master degrees from the University of Phoenix! The University of Phoenix is REGIONALLY accreddited like other "real" universities whether they're state or UC's so why do people talk down on that university so much? It doesn't make sense!
A: They do it because they have nothing better to do. I think University of Phoenix is a good school. It help trained so many people to get a good job. They must be doing a good job since they are still in business. I have not heard anything bad about the school from the people who actually went there. Thats the opinion that truly counts.

Q: Who can give me the dirt on these two universities? Boston University and University of Southern California?
I am choosing between them for Business studies and I can't decide which to go to.
A: The weather is better at USC. They have a reputation for being the rich kids. The others go to UCLA. I did go to a swing dance and the people seem friendly. Mascot is the Trojens.
Accedemically, better read up. There is usually a book out about bargain education. What State schools give the best education. Often the very best programs are in a cheaper school.
MIT is close to Boston U, Caltec is close to USC.
Q: How does Bond university compare to United States universities?
Does any one know about Bond?
What is life on campus like?
How are American women treated in Australia?
How readily are the credits accepted into other Universities in the United States, if I were to transfer out?
A: G'day,
Bond Uni is one of (only) 3 private universities in Australia. It is well-known for the law course. It has 3 semester intakes (instead of the conventional 2 semester intakes in most uni), which allow students to finish what normally 3 years course to only 2 years. It is located in Gold Coast, one of the favourite tourist spot in Australia. Very warm climate. The qualification and recognition is the same as any other Australian universities.
American women are treated equally the same with any other people in Australia. Australians has been visited and accepted so many visitors from Europe and America, there's no problem at all.
If you have done some university studies in US, you may be able to transfer some of the subjects that you have successfully completed. What you need to do is to apply and attach certified copy of your university transcript and course syllabus.
Hope this helps. Good luck for your study and hope to see you in Australia.
Q: Any universities in the North East United States that accept law students from the University of Lahore?
I have a friend who is studying for an external law degree at Lahore University. The degree is through London University. She would like to come to America and study instead (she does not want to be in Pakistan right now) but she needs to be near a friend in order to study abroad. Are there any Universities that you know of, or could recommend that she may be able to study at?
A: The problem isn't that she can't study in the US - she is more than welcome to do so. The problem is that one can not study law at the undergraduate level in the US. She's studying law for her bachelors degree now, in Lahore. She can't do that in the US. In the US, law is studied only at the post-graduate level.
So she can come to the US to study, but she can not study law. Not until she already has a bachelors degree.
Q: What Universities, University of Chicago or Ivy League, in the United States am I capable of attending?
I have a 3.7, don't know my ACT or SAT yet, I did cross country for 3 years, track for 4 years, I've taken 5 A.P classes so far, A.P macro, U.S history, Comparative, Calculus, Biology, and have taken 7 honors courses. Our school is not grade inflated, but instead seems like it is grade deflated. + my passion = Christ.
A: If your 3.7 GPA is unweighted, then you are just a little below average for the students accepted to the top schools. If it is weighted, then you are way below average for the top schools.
You will need an SAT score in the 2150+ range to have stats that are typical for the top schools. If you can do that, then you will get into some great schools, and will have a shot at those schools.
The most elite schools reject four to ten qualified applicants for every one they accept -- so you need to stand out. Activities are nice -- but everyone has them. you need to write a killer application essay
Q: Universities that are adjacent to another university?
I was wondering if anyone knew of any universities (in the US) that have campuses that are within walking distance from each other. I know of one example, University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon Univ. have campuses bordering each other...
Anyone else know of any more?
A: Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania are neighbors. In fact, Drexel students use the UP library.
Q: Do I have to declare my prior US University experience to European Universities?
(what I really mean is "can I get away with not declaring it")
I'm considering attending an Eastern European University. I have not been in University for about 10 years. Due to a bevy of circumstances I simply stopped attending classes, failed them all, and ruined my GPA. I don't wish to transfer credits, I just want to start over and no be haunted by something I did in my freaking teens. Anyway, I know they want me to list any previous college experience, but c'mon, how would they know? I know that they COULD find out if they really wanted to put in a lot of research, but it would be such a chore for them to do so. I just want to start over and I'm pretty sure I could just not tell them.
A: Unless the app says to list it dont. odds are your university doesnt even have your records anymore.

Q: Are there any non indian university universities providing distance PHD education, recognised in india?
I am looking to complement my experience through PHD in community organisation. At 39 I am too old to go in the selection criteria of indian uneversities. Am looking for a sollution in disatnce learning which has the recognition in india. Information about these uneversities the names, contact details and procedure to apply will be very welcome.
A: Please ask yourself "why do you want to do PhD". Is it merely for ornamental value or for real learning. If the answer is latter, don't even think about distance PhD from non Indian Univ.
39 is not an unusual age for doing a PhD. You may opt for a non-residential PhD (which involves regular contact and visits to Univ) from a reputed and accredited university near to your town/city,
And if you still want to go in for a distance one (provided any such thing exists) please check is it actually an accredited univ or a fake degree shoppe.
Q: What is the rank of University of Bedfordshire among UK's universities?
Does University of Bedfordshire specialize in the business management? What's more, What is the rank of University of Bedfordshire when comparing to other universities around the world?
A: Yes. Bedfordshire has a good Business management course internationally recognised .
http://www.beds.ac.uk/courses/bysubject/busfin
Ranking of university courses is mainly done by subject.
See:http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/education/good_university_guide/article526747.ece
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/displayPopup/0,,13385,00.html
PS. The fact that a university is low ranking overall does not necessarily mean it is poor in all subjects. Bedfordshire is a relatively new university and as such may perform well in less traditional disciplines such as Business Studies.
Q: When you apply for university, do the universities look at your grade 11 mark?
if yes, is there any way to make it your grade 12 mark instead?
My average isn't the greatest this year so I'm a little worried.
A: They look at everything. You usually apply in the Fall of your senior year, so your senior grades aren't even available to be looked at yet. That means that your Junior year grades are probably the most important.
I know this isn't what you wanted to hear -- but it is the truth.
Q: Will I be able to become a lawyer if I go to an online university? Are online universities worth it?
Would it be smart to invest my time & $$ into an online U, if I want to get into a good law school? If so, which online schools are the best for that? What courses should I take?
A: A good law school? Don't go to a online university then.
University of Phoenix is accepted by the LSDAS, but the good law schools won't consider you.
There are some regular universities that have online schools, but I believe you have to be admitted in to their regular school before you can take online courses for a degree.
Law schools don't care what major you are. Literally. You can have a BA in basket weaving for all they care. The idea is to stand out to the good law schools. Poly sci is NOT the way to do it. They have plenty of poly sci applicants. They know that major is easy, so you'd better have great grades if you're a poly sci major. Same with online. Law schools know online schools don't exactly have the greatest rep. So, you're facing an uphill struggle already.
If you need to ease back into school, I'd take courses at a JC. Then transfer to a regular 4 yr university. The better the law school you get into, the easier it is to find a job.
You can be a lawyer by going to a non-ABA law school, but it's not easy. They have poor bar passage rates and employers look at you last (if at all).
Q: Devy University is the best technical school than other state suckers Universities?
Its is better to have a classroom of maximum of 20 than a classroom with 200 students. You can talk with your proffesor to help you with your course, while state university you gotta have good luck to speak with your proffessor.
A: Actually Ive been hearing companies don't want to hear DeVry graduates.
Just what I heard
Q: Do people from Harvard University look down at people from other universities?
Do Harvard students think they are better than other students from other universities?
A: Not ALL of them. Ya see it's preposterous to believe that everyone at any one university is the same. Yes, many of them may have mommy & daddy's money, but SOME of them actually work very hard through school and get scholarships from Harvard. So when you pass judgement on someone just because they go to a better school you deserve for that to happen to you!!!
Q: Please tell me the list of the most famous universities in Korea. Is Sejong University in the list?
Sejong University is placed in Seoul.
A: I'll give you the ranking
1. Seoul National University
2. Korea University
Yonsei University
3. The rest
This probably sums it all. Cheers mate!
