Q: Is Lincoln University a good place to do a Graphic Design degree?
I want to do a graphic design degree and i have look at various websites. I will be trying Central Saint Martins but that's too high and i will not get in, love to, but probably won't.
I do have hope though lol.
Its just i need a back - up Lincoln University sounds like a good place...is it?
A: I live in Lincoln
It`s a very modern and vibrant uni with a city that (much to it`s detriment in some cases) has geared itself up to accommodating the uni,it has many facilities from the Engine Shed venue that gets many big names in to the sports ansd social side, loads of halls for new students and a good central position,as for the graphic design bit as it`s a new uni (only about 10 years old) it`s gaining a reputation, they have a perticularly good film /media course,
sorry but the comments below about Lincoln being racist is utter rubbish,
Q: Ban dyslexics from university and the work place ?
I teach at a university and I am sick and tied of dyslexic students if they can not read or spell after 12 years at school they should not be let in what do you say ? I would also like to ban them from the work place do you agree?

A: LOL, yes ban them. Or they should at least have special help.
Q: What's the safe place and " danger place " around the university of nottingham to live?
What's the safe place and " danger place " around the university of nottingham to live?
i'm a foreign student. and i want to live outside of campus. but i dont know which place is the best to live for students. and safety comes first!! how about the Middleton Boulevard and Dorket Drive? are they much safer? i'll appreciate it if you can give me some useful information. thank you for your help .
A: Beeston or Chilwell, although Beeston is best for students.
Property in Beeston Rylands is fairly cheap compared to the rest of Beeston, so if you can rent there even better.
Dunkirk is the obvious place, you arent going to get shot or anything but being full of students might be an easy target for burglaries.
Wollaton's safe as well

Q: Does anyone know ways to impress university's into getting a place?
Im trying to find the best ways to get a fairly secure place in my university of choice? Thank you =)
Geez guys, chill out, it was a grammar mistake NOT the end of the world.
Btw thank you very much for the helpful people :) X
A: Universities are corporate bodies. They exist because of finance. Even the old ones.
The best way to get into one is to think differently to all the other undergrads. They need you more than you need them.
Their reputation rests on their decisions, so if they fu*k up on you...you make sure they have to live with it.
Decide what you want to do. Then do it. Those that failed to help you will pay in their own good time.
Q: What is the closest place to St John´s University?
Hi! I´m traveling to New York and I´ll study at St John´s University (101 Murray st) what is closest place to it? I can live in Manhattan because the prices for apartments there are too high. So I can choose between: Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Bronx, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. According to what I´ve been checking in maps Brooklyn would be the best choice, but I´d like to hear from you. If there is another place that I haven't mentioned here, you can tell me.
Thanks a lot, Sandra!
A: You can live on campus. Check this web page:

Q: Is University College Birminghqam a good place to study?
I have been given a place
The degree is awarded by The University of Birmingham
Should i accept the offer? Is UCB for dump students or intelligent and hard working students
Where is it located and how is Birmingham?
A: I am in my 3rd year there. UCB is a good university, and as the degree is awarded by the University of Birmingham it will look good for future employers.
UCB is especially good for culinary courses and travel and tourism. I do early childhood studies there and I enjoy it.
UCB is located near Birmingham Central Library and Great Charles St. A 10 minute walk from the main city centre.
Birmingham is an excellent city, lived here my whole life so I'm slightly biased but I do love it. It's so multicultural and has such a great mix of people, with lots of opportunities.
An added bonus to UCB is that as its one of the best places to study culinary courses, there is a restaurant and also a pub within the university and the food made in the canteen is mainly made by students studying the culinary courses.
Come and visit

A: I don't know about the university, but the town is horrible. Consider the south of the country.

Q: How advantaged are Junior College students in getting a place in university as compared to polytechnic student
I was told that poly students could either be top 5% or get an average of GPA 3.5 to get into university. Does that mean, all the people who gets 3.5 gets into university first rather than JC students ? Does JC students get to go in first ? Or any other advantages ?
A: In some states universities, they reserve 8 out 10 seats for transfer students for students who was in a Junior College. If you are in a polytechnic school such as Cal Poly in California which is a 4 year insitution, (most of them are) you dont have no choice - stay there or start over. In junior college you have to move on to a four year university and they are prepared to take on the university system. So JC students have more of a shot with the same GPA than a Polytechnic College student with the same GPA /
