Q: What are some of the rules for dorms at Central Michigan University?
I am going to be living in a dorm at Central Michigan University soon, I don't know which dorm hall yet, and I am not really sure how the dorms work. Like, can I have people in my dorm whenever I want? Is there keys to get in? I am just looking for any information about the dorms.

A: Each dorm has its own rules. Some have a curfew for visitors.. Some have quiet times schedule when there is no music or visitor allowed. Some dorms hold floor by floor meetings the first week to get rules known or voted on. You may want to get some rules clear with your roommate right from the start. Most dorms have a key so only those who live in that dorm can get into the building. Then you and your roommate will have a key to the room. Each floor should have a older student who is a RA. If you have any problems or need information on dorm life once you get there, this is the first person you should go to.

Q: Is Michigan University a good school for neuro-psychology ?
I am thinking about becoming a psychologist and minor in nuero-psycology and I was wondering if Michigan University would be a good school for me. I am getting all A's and B's in my current classes. Although I am only a freshman, I want to know what kind of grades you need to maintain all throughout high school to get accepted.

A: 1st off... its "University of Michigan," but I understand what you mean. Neuro-psychology would definitely be difficult, but I'm sure our program here is amazing, since both our psychology and our neurology programs are very highly ranked and renowned. You should try for all A's and B's, a good ACT score, and many extracurriculars. You'll apply to LS&A (college of Literature, Science, and the Arts), and if you write a good essay, have good grades and scores, and seem well-rounded, you will get in for sure! if you are still in doubt, visit www.umich.edu and check out the prospective students tab

Q: How will college life be like for me as an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan?
I have just been accepted by my dream school which is the University of Michigan to their engineering program. I would like to know what kind of college atmosphere to expect in terms of social life, academics, and athletic events?

A: You will have lots of distractions on a big campus ( Indiana U. grad here), from other students wanting to hang out to going to the ball games to dating, but the key things for all college students a) budget your time wisely b) get enough sleep so as not be brain dead or get seriously ill there is plenty of time to enjoy all campus life has to offer IF you use your time wisely. Good luck and congrats.

Q: What would happen if I went to University of Michigan?
I want to major in business. What would happen if I went to the University of Michigan, and then didn't get into Ross. Would I just be screwed or what? Do I have to pick another major or should I work towards Econ and then try to apply again later.

A: Um, when you apply, you specify the major you want. If they don't want you for that major, they will just outright reject you. They won't admit you and tell you to go and study something else.

Q: What are the Entrance requirements for the University OF Michigan?
i am a sophomore in high school and i was wondering what the entrance requirements for the University of Michigan are. if you are an undergraduate. I want to major in Medicine.

A: yea go to the website. you really won't major in medicine if you want to go to the medical field. you will major in pre-med and get all your pre-reqs for med school in before you actually apply to med school.

Q: How will college life be like for me as a running back playing for the University of Michigan and engineering?
I am going to the University of Michigan the fall of 2007 and I will be playing football and majoring in biomed engineering. How will college life be like for me in terms of academics, social life, and dating?

A: You will be busy. Very busy. Try to achieve some sort of balance between football, academics, and having a life. Remember, football is only your ticket to an education that would cost you about $300,000 otherwise, so do enough to stay on the team, but the real value is the UM education, so feed your head! And don't be surprised if you change your mind about Biomed engineering... I changed majors three times before I graduated...

Q: How will college life befor me as an undergraduate football player at the University of Michigan?
I plan to play running back for the university of michigan in the fall as a transfer student, major in engineering. How would college life be like for me in terms of academics, social life, and dating?

A: Its tough being an athlete with good grades. You have to give up women or grades usually. Can't have all 3.

Q: What are the requirements to get into University of Michigan?
I'm a high school freshman, and I want to know what I have to do in order to be accepted in the university of Michigan

A: You need to take challenging courses, preferably honors or AP, and get good grades. If your school does class rankings, you'll probably want to be in the top 25%, if not higher (maybe more like 10%). Obviously, you also need to have good scores on either the ACT or SAT. Having extracurricular activities is also a plus, whether it's a sport, a job, or volunteering somewhere. If you want some specific numbers, you can find them at the UofM website here: http://www.admissions.umich.edu/fastfacts.html . You still have plenty of time to worry about all of this, but it does help to think ahead and plan a more challenging, college-preparatory program.

Q: what does your average have to be to go to the University of Michigan?
i want to go to the university of Michigan what is the grade average?

A: Don't only worry about your average. ACT scores and the essays matter a lot too, but I would say a GPA of at least a 3.5.

Q: What classes look good, if i want to apply to the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor)?
I want to get into University of Michigan and I am currently trying to decide my junior classes. How many years of a language looks good? Is is ok if I only have 2 years of spanish? Do they only look at the GPA, or do they take into consideration the types of classes you took (like AP)? How much do they pay attention to your senior year?

A: First of all, congratulations on your inititive, getting into the University is really hard. Thirty thousand people applied in this past year and only 5,500 got in. I just got into U of M, so I was pretty happy. I had two years of Spanish and my school doesn't offer AP classes. If your school does, please, please, please take advantage of them. I'm pretty sure that the greatest considerations on the app are GPA, ACT scores, essays, recommendations, and involvement in high school activities. My GPA was a 3.74, my ACT was a 29. They definitely pay attention to your senior year. I went to Michigan this weekend and they said that every year they revoke acceptances because of a lack of rigorous coursework in senior year. Just make sure that you can handle it! Another word of advice I wish I had heard--definitely go and check out the campus before you apply. I don't really want to go to Michigan anymore after seeing their 1100 person lecture halls!

Q: How many years has it been since University Of Michigan football has had a losing season?
How many years has it been since University Of Michigan football has had a losing season

A: !967 was the last time Michigan had a losing season. !973 was the last time Michigan didn't mae a Bowl game, And 1984 was the last time Michigan had a non-wining season Michigan will have a losing season at 2-10 and will not even come close to making a bowl game. They will get crushed by AT LEAST 3 TD's in each of their remaining games this season. Then they will go winless in 2009 and fire Dick Fraudriguez. Hiring DickRod was the WORST higher in CF history...its worse then Notre Lame hiring Jerry Faust. *sighs in disgust* Oh well. I'll root for my Wolverines even if they never win another game. I bleed maize and blue
