Q: Health majors at The University of Kentucky?
I know I want to go into a Health Profession but I'm not sure what colleges offer majors in that field. I was thinking of becoming a Family Practitioner. I wanted to know any of the Health majors offered at The University of Kentucky. Any idea?

A: What do you mean by family practitioner? A doctor in family medicine or a family nurse practitioner? To become a family medicine doctor you'd need a pre-med bachelors degree, med school, a year as a medical intern, the a residency program at a teaching hospital in family practice. You can do all of these at UK. The family medicine department also has a pre-doctoral program in the family medicine for those wishing to practice in rural settings. You'd go into the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Track with a subspecialty of Family Nurse Practitioner. We all know it's a teaching hospital, and it's nothing like they show on TV. Yes, you'll get the occasional person who views you as someone to do the scut work. But most of us welcome students. On any given day we have medical, nursing, surgical tech, PA, PT/OT/ST, chaplain, and paramedics students, and the list goes on. Q: What should I wear to the graduationactivities at Western Kentucky University?
I will be attending graduation services on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. What should I wear. It-both of them-will be held inside Diddle Arena.

A: Dress like your going to church, I also will be there. I will be wearing a dressy capri outfit on fri night with nice shoes. and a dress on sat.

Q: Why does the University of Kentucky Basketball team suck this year?

A: I live in KY, you know as well as me......they have good players...2 All-Americans.......Crawford and Patterson....They should be winning. The only ones who should be blamed is the fans, they wished and wished for tubby to leave. They got there wish, now there wishing they still had him. Careful what you wish for. But hes no coach, how can you not start your best scorer, Crawford......Hes killing his confidence......He dont really care, hes got the best coaching job in America. And hes safe, did you know his best friend hired him as coach, and his best friend would have to fire him......he has nothing to fear....Hes a millionaire

Q: Why is the University of Kentucky so bad?
Do you think the Kentucky Wildcats will make the NCAA tournament this year? The field will be announced in a few hours. Will Tubby Smith have a job with UK next year?

A: kentucky is bad because they dont really get the recruits that everybody else does! (...arizona, duke, north carolina etc ) ..Tubby will probably have a job....but he needs to hit the recruitin class HARD!!

Q: Is the University of Kentucky v University of Louisville football game the premier game of the season?
The game features quarterbacks who are surely in the top 5 in the nation.

A: The only problem is Kentucky's football team is not predicted to do well this year. It's an in-state rivalry and should be fun to watch.

I have searched the websites for alumnilabels, labelsrus, and universal flag and label. Anyone know of a good site that is current on its licensing agreements with the University?

Q: What is within walking distance of the University of Kentucky?
My son will start there in the fall and have no car. Will this be a problem shopping for pens, paper, laundry detergent, etc. ? It seems both Walmart and Target are not within walking distance. Any Lexington experts out there :-) ?

A: My best friend attends UK and never has had trouble getting things that he needs. I'm sure there are convinience stores (which arent so convinient as far as price goes?!) and if not, I'm sure one of his new friends will give him a ride!

Q: How hard is it to get in University of Kentucky's pharmacy program ?
What are the things you should do in high school or in Pre-Pharmacy process in order to make you a strong candidate of this program ?

A: My wife didn't get into UK Pharmacy program 4 years ago and has just graduated from OSU's program. It's something like 1 in 7 or 1 in 8 to get into most pharmacy schools, including OSU... I think the main difference was the interviews - she did really well at OSU because she wasn't as stressed out. Also - her work history as a pharmacy tech really helped. She was a psych major who switched to pharmacy, so she had to re-do most of her pre-reqs. We really liked Columbus and would recommend OSU as a second choice for you. Good luck.

Q: Where should I go to college, Eastern Kentucky university or Ball State University?
I can probably get into both. I want to major in law enforcement/criminal justice. I live in a suburb of Indianapolis and can get in-state tuition to Ball State and reduced tuition to EKU. Does anyone know about the social life at EKU? Typically, what are the students like there. Are there good looking girls???

A: god, if you're going to college just for women, then bothering giving you advice is worthless Ball State is a better school though (hot babes or not *eyeroll*)

Q: Where is a good place to park at a University of Kentucky Football game?
Going to a game in a few weeks and don't know where to park. I don't have a parking pass and I understand parking is limited around the stadium.

A: Does anyone go to their games? I would think you could park where ever you wanted? Show up 5 hours early, so you can get your tailgate going.

Q: Which campus to attend Eastern Kentucky University is best?
Which city is best for a bio major I like going to concerts And would like to be in a safe place Richmond Danville Corbin or Manchester?

A: If you are asking where to live while going to Eastern Kentucky University, I would suggest one that is not on your list and that would be Lexington. It is also a college town (University of Kentucky) so I know there are a lot of things to do there.

Q: Looking for football players name from University of Kentucky only have initals pre 2008?
My kids found a signed UK football I cant read the signature I think the first name is L----n and the last name starts with an R. I checked this years roster with no luck can anyone help? I would like to get this back to the original owner but I would like for someone to be able to verify the name. Thanks to anyone who can help!

A: Wish I could help you but can't think of it off the top of my head. Any possible way you could take a picture and put on your computer and upload on a website like flikr.com so we can see? I'm usually good at reading signatures. But, that is if I'm familiar with the certain player so no guarantee.
