Q: How is Arizona University?Any other suggestions?
I'm look at colleges and i was actually considering going to Arizona University. I live in Connecticut right now and want to go someplace warm. Do you recommend this school. What about any others. Im also not sure about a major but im actually considering doing bio-medical engineering or just car engineering (like designing cars). Yeah its weird.

A: Biomedical engineering and automotive engineering are both very good majors. There is *nothing* weird about them. Biomedical is more in demand than automotive, especially right now. Both Arizona State University and University of Arizona are strong overall schools, ranking in the top 100 universities in the US. They also rank in the top 50 engineering schools in the US, which means they are well respected in that field. That said, they aren't the hardest schools in the world to get into, which means they're a great opportunity - not hard to get into, but a well respected program. Good deal. Other good engineering programs, in schools that are in warm weather areas of the US (compared to CT), include: Stanford U, UC Berkeley, Cal Tech, Georgia Tech, U Texas Austin, Johns Hopkins (they do have winter, but not like in CT), Virginia Tech, Harvey Mudd, Cal Poly SLO, Rice U, Texas A&M College Station, UCLA, Duke, UC San Diego, U Maryland College Park (again, not 100% warm, but more so than CT), North Carolina State U Raleigh, U Florida, U Southern California, U Virginia, UC Santa Barbara, Vanderbilt U, UC Irvine, U Delaware (again, it's all relative re: warm), Auburn, U Missouri Rolla, and Clemson. I don't know your grades and etc., so I don't know if you'd get into a place like Stanford or UC Berkeley. You'll need to look schools up on www.collegeboard.com and compare their stats with your own, see where you'd like to apply. And I want to throw two more schools at you, not because they're in warm weather states, but because if you get in, they are free of tuition: the Cooper Union, and Olin College of Engineering. Both are in cold weather states, but they are among the best engineering schools in the US, and, you know... free maybe makes up for the snow?

Q: Can i get into Florida state university or University of Arizona with these grades?
I am an international student currently studying in Intl School of Choueifat, UAE. I got 1600 in my SAT, 100 in TOEFL and average grades in my school. Do I have a chance of getting into FSU or UofA. Also what about University of Texas at Austin.

A: The University of Texas at Austin will be tough for you since it does not admit so many international students. In contrast, Florida state will be a possible choice. About UA, you have a chance to get in, but you have to do more with application. Good luck.

Q: Who will be the next coach of university of Arizona?
I think the coach of gonzaga but I would love to see calipari leave memphis. Arizona has a history of winning and the prestige to demand a high caliber coach.

A: It should be a big name coach, i like calipari as well.

Q: Does Arizona State University or the University of Arizona have the better business school?
I've been accepted to both universities and know I want to major in business management, so which school would be better for me?

A: Im assuming you mean for an undergraduate degree. University of Arizona is ranked 63 in the US, while Arizona St. is ranked 70. These rankings are based on overall experience, job prospects, etc. But......The University of Arizona average salary is $43610, while the average starting salary at Arizona St. is $46108. These are similar numbers, and their rankings are both very similar. I would visit each school and choose which you like best for yourself since they are so similar. Hope this helps!

Q: Can I get into the University of Arizona?
Hi, i was wondering if I would be able to go to the University of Arizona with accumulative gpa of 3.7. I speak 4 languages and I am in the spanish club. I also volunteer at a local hospital and retirement home. I want to major in pharmacy and minor in spanish. I just took my ACT test and I haven't recieved my scores. With the information I have given you do you think I will be accepted? Also, will I be able to get a scholarship? I am not a resident of Arizona...

A: well its a large public school if you like that surrounding and i would have to say that you have a very god chance of being accepted not only for how high your grades are but also because you speak 4 languages... which is a very very rare thing......pharmacy is a hard major to get into but if your act scores are high enough you could definitley be able to get into that field.... scholarship wise i would have to say that you have a good chance to get a scholarship from an outside source promoting your ability to speak multiple languages... i dunno if youll get any from the college itself but make sure you apply to other scholarships

Q: What is the mailing address to university of arizona undergraduate admissions?
im trying to send my high school transcripts in and i can't seem to find the mailing address on the website.

A: PO Box 210040 Tucson, AZ, 85721-0040

Q: Does anybody go to Northern Arizona University or know anything about it?
I was accepted there as well as a couple other schools. At the moment, I'm thinking either go to NAU or go to a community college in my home state CA for 2 yrs and transfer to a nice school. Do you know anything about it? Are there halls where the people aren't really into drinking and partying but rather focused on studying? Are the Aspen Crossing Learning Community residence halls nice?

A: NAU is a very nice school. My sister goes to school there and I live in Tucson so I have been up to Flagstaff quite a few times. Flagstaff isn't a big city, it's a college town so it definitely has laid back feel. The downtown isn't really much of a downtown but more of a few blocks of cute shops and restaurants. In the warmer months, you can drive up to Sedona and swim in the creek and of course during the winter, there's skiing and snowboarding. If you are craving a big city atmosphere for a weekend, Phoenix is only a two hour drive away. The dorms are very nice compared to some of the other ones I've seen but they are still dorms so there's not much too them. The Aspen dorms were just built in 2008 so they are probably very nice but I'm not sure if they are open to Freshman, you'll have to double check. As for the trying to find halls with out drinking and partying, there's going to be all different types of people in every single dorm. If you want to focus on your studies then all you have to do is find other people who want to do the same. And if your dorms do get too loud, there are plenty of other quiet places on campus to study. The best thing to do is to visit NAU before you decide. If you just go for a weekend and hang out there, you can see if you feel comfortable there.
