I've googled and yahooed it and can't seem to find anything on it. Anyone have a direct link?

A: I think you may be referring to a study-abroad program coordinated by the Paris Center for Critical Studies, through the Nouvelle Sorbonne. This program is administered by CIEE.
Follow these links to see if this is the program you're seeking.

http://www.ucalgary.ca/futurestudents/engineering
But then there's also the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economy which the chemical and petroleum department is part of. It focuses on new research and energy technologies. As well as CEERE (Centre for Environment Engineering Research and Education); TIPM (Tomographic Imaging Porous Media Laboratory); Air Injection/In Situ Combustion Research Group. Centre for In Situ Energy; Gas Hydrates Research Group, iCentre and PPRF (Pharmaceutical Production Research Facility, all of which are advanced research centres and labs.
Q: advances in facet rhizotomy university of arkansas medical center?
considering lumbar facet rhizotomy. excellent results so far from thoracic procedure done in June this year.
A: joint facet rhyzotomy, is as old as spine surgery itself.
It has been practiced by very many of us, since the years 70s, and the results have been rather dissapointing, in even well selected patients.
Radiofrequency with a 6 channel console (Radionics) has been used to elevate the temperature of the innervation of the facets that join one vertebral body (recurrent dorsal nerve of Luschka coagulation), with the next lower one..(vertebra)
There is nothing new, and the index of recurrences of pain with flexion and extension of the upper body, is as high as 45% in the next 8 months of the introdiction of insulated teflon electrodes, with the tip heated at 75-80 centigrades, for 2 to 2 and a half minutes.....
In the Arkansas University proigram, a guided intensifier radioscope has been added, to increase the precision of the coagulation target,,,,
Our statistics (mine and my 3 colleagues) comprises 11 years of practice with statistics of 312 cases, well selected.
Its far from being a definite procedure, and open surgery of the spinal dorsal (thoracic spine) has been needed in 144 cases, because of failure even wity the most accurate and sophisticated equipment...
It has been used more frequently to denervate lumbar facets because they are more approachable, with the same results..
I wish good luck to the Arkansas team, for we have been using ths very same method for 30 years, and results dont change, even with the new methods,,,,,,,,
Here in Europe, the procedure is as old as the big flood....
Q: Is Philippine Normal University the Center of Excellence in Teacher Education?
A: Not so sure bout that. it's the first time I've heard of that though.
Q: The time in minutes for which a student uses a computer terminal at the center of a major university follows?
an exponential probability distribution with a mean of 36 minutes. Assume a student arrives at the terminal just as another student is beginning to work on the terminal. (a) What is the probability that the wait for the second student will be 15 minutes or less? (b) What is the probability that the wait for the seond student will be between 15 and 45 minues? (c) What is the probability that the wait for the second student will have to wait one hour or more?
A: The cumulative distribution function for the exponential distribution with mean lambda = 36 minutes is:
Prob(X < a minutes) = 0 for a <= 0
Prob(X < a minutes) = 1 - e^(- a / 36) for a >=0
So letting F(a) be that function, the answers are:
(a) F(15)
(b) F(45) - F(15)
(c) 1 - F(60)
(a) 1 - e^(- 15 / 36) = 1 - e^(- 5 / 12) ~ 34.1 %
(b) (1 - e^(- 45 / 36)) - (1 - e^(- 15 / 36)) = e^(-15 / 36) - e^(- 45 / 36) = e^(- 5 / 12) - e^(- 5 / 4) ~ 37.3 %
(c) 1 - (1 - e^(- 60 / 36)) = e^(- 60 / 36) = e^(- 5 / 3) ~ 18.9 %
Dan
More interesting question: (d) Follow up to (a): Given that the second student has already waited 15 minutes, what is the probability that the remaining wait will only be 15 minutes or less. Compare the answer to (a).

Q: Does anyone know about the concert set up at the Wolstein Center (Cleveland State University) in Cleveland?
I'm going to a concert at the Wolstein Center in February. From the looks of the web site, it appears that the line for general admission tickets will start outside the venue at Gate B by the Revol floor entrance. I was hoping someone familiar with that arena could give me more specifics about where the line is (I'm assuming outside) and where is the best place to park. This is going to be an all day wait in line experience, so I'm trying to plan ahead. I don't know anyone from that area so I don't know anyone I can ask. Thanks!
Sorry I didn't make it clear in my question that I'm not from Cleveland so I can't check things out ahead of time. :-)
A: I work at The Wolstein Center ( CSU ). Can't give any advice about waiting in line other than dress for the weather, your stuck out in the wind and it is Feb in Cleveland, could be brutal.
Parking, DO NOT park between E 18th St. and E14th ST, south of Prospect. Those lots are not guarded and cars are broken into by the dozens every event!!!!! When parked leave nothing in sight for the vandals to see, not a coin , not a cigarette!! Bite the bullet and pay to park out of that area. Use the Playhouse Square lots on Euclid, or the CSU lots east of 22nd street.
