Q: Is the book of Genesis the only book in the science section in the Oral Roberts University bookstore?
A: Most definitely.
Q: i'm from dubai, how do i get a bookstore to sponsor my university's book club?
borders, kinokuniya and magrudy's
A: You write to them and ask.
Q: How much do textbooks cost in Medical School?
Can you buy them from Amazon or do you have to get them from the University bookstore?
A: You can always shop around for your books and you are not required to purchase them from the bookstore. Get the ISBN and try searching at a site such as http://www.campusbooks.com or http://www.medicalbookprices.com. They will show you the best prices on the web.
Graduate school books are typically more expensive and less used are on the market so give yourself plenty of time to shop around and find the best deals.
Q: Where can I get the cheapest textbooks?
Last semester I had to buy my books from the university bookstore and they cost me a fortune. Does anyone know any ways I can snag a better deal this time around?
A: Of course you can find better cheaper deals! Try searching for your books on http://www.bigwords.com . Its very simple, just grab your ISBN number and search for it on their easy to use search engine designed just for textbooks and you are on your way to the savings! Seriously we all could use some extra money here and there and right now finding those textbooks for cheap is whats up!
Q: Is amazon generally cheaper than a usual bookstore?
I'm from Europe and I'm going to stay in the USA for two weeks in September. In the next months I'll have to buy many books for university which are pretty expensive in Europe. I saw them much cheaper on amazon.com but the shipping costs to Europe are very high. Now I'm interested if the prices in american bookstores are also as low as on amazon.com or is amazon generally cheaper?
Thank you for your answers.
A: Amazon is generally cheaper because you can buy the books used from independent sellers.
In America you can sometimes find book stores - especially university book stores that sell used books, but they will probably not be as cheap as the books on Amazon.
Can you order the books online once you get to America and have them shipped there, so it won't cost as much? That's what I would suggest.
Q: How many of each type were sold?
A university bookstore recently sold a wirebound graph-paper notebook for $2.50, and a college-ruled notebook for $2.30. At the start of spring semester, a combination of 50 of these notebooks were sold for a total of $118.60. How many of each type were sold?
I have to show all my work, and i don't know how.
A: Let the number of graph books be x
The number of college ruled books = y
total number of books = 50
x + y = 50
also, we can find the equation for the total cost by multiplying the individual costs of the books with the quantity / number of books of each type. So we get,
2.5x + 2.3y = 118.6
solving these two equations we get
2.5x + 2.5y = 50*2.5
.2y = 125 - 118.6 = 6.4
y = 32 (number of college ruled books)
x = 50 - 32 = 18 (no. of wirebound graph paper notebooks)
Q: Where can you buy the rigid plastic id holders that they give out at Johnson & Whales University?
They are not sold in the bookstore. They are made only to slide the top half inch of the id card in and the rest just hangs out, so they are not the full size of the id card.

Q: Where is the chepest place to buy Adobe CS3?
I want to buy a legal copy of Adobe Creatvie Suite 3.3 Premiere which includes Phtoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks. It costs $600 through my university bookstore but I'm hoping to find it for less. I've seen places to download them for much less but I don't know how legal this is or if it's a legit copy. Any thoughts?
A: they are illegal copy's and you can not register them. Adobe offers a student discount.
Q: I need help finding agood bookstore for college textbooks, does anyone know any websites?
I am taking a summer course at my University and need help seeking a good website to get get cheap used books, does anyone know a good one?
A: Check out Allbookstores.com it will check all the on-line bookstores for your textbooks. It's a great website.
Q: What to do with college books that websites & school won't buy back?
I don't even remember how much I paid for this used calculus book.
At LEAST $50.
And the university bookstore wouldn't buy it back because 'they're making a new edition'.
And the websites I went to are like 'we're not buying it back at this time'?
Is there a trick to this or something?
I'm clearly a college freshman.
A: That is a common difficulty in trying to sale texts. I was stuck with a bunch of books because the college has bought back the limit they planned on buying so were giving a lot less for the remainder of the books and I decided to keep them. I've had good luck on getting rid of many text books by selling them on Ebay. Look at a list of the completed listings to see what you can get for your text and list it at that price.
Q: Hello, where can I buy second hand law books in any second hand bookstore in Brooklyn or Manhattan? Thanks?
I need some law books for Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law, for example Scheb J. M.:Criminal Procedure Law, or any other university books of that kind.
Thanks in advance.
A: I would try the Strand, they have tons of used books, and texts I am sure. Here is the address

Q: Can I sell used books back to the campus bookstore?
I attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa and am wondering if the campus bookstore would buy back books that were already used when I bought them (with the yellow "Used" sticker on the book).
A: Assuming the book will be used again, yes they will. Painfully. Your $40 used book will be rebought by the bookstore for probably $10. And they will then resell it for $40 again. You're better off finding someone who is taking the class next semester who will give you $20 for it.
Q: What bookstores are there at the University of Georgia?
