Q: Can credits from an Online University be transferred to a California State University?
Iam about to transfer to a CSU to get my Bachelors Degree but was thinking about taking some online courses with an Online University. Can i transfer the credits i get from the Online school to a CSU??
A: Doubtful, extremely doubtful. Most online schools credits do not transfer, ESPECIALLY to highly-accredited schools. To be on the absolutely safe side, and avoid spending money on credits that do you no good, ask the school you're planning to attend. The admissions office should have the information you need, or be able to route you to the office that does.
Q: Is there an online university that doesn't insist on calling every day?
I am looking for an online undergraduate software engineering program, but I work day, swing, and graveyard shift, so I can't take calls at any specific time of day. Does anybody know of an online university that wont harass me with calls. Bonus if they are regionally accredited.
I just finished an online chat session with Herzing College and they claim that only one call from an admissions advisor is required. Any other recommendations are still welcome.
A: I have completed my BS at Excelsior College http://www.excelsior.edu
Not at any stage did anyone phone me. In fact, I never had any voice conversation with anyone at Excelsior. All communication was completed via email and the responses were always within 24 hours or 72 if it was admissions.
There is the option for you to phone Excelsior, but that's your choice at any time.
I had the best experience at Excelsior and can highly recommend them in every aspect: admissions, advisers and instructors were very accessible and responsive. The method of communication was for me to choose.
Check them out for yourself.
If you need any other information about what it is like studying through Excelsior, email me. I am happy to give you all the details you want.
Hope this helps.
Q: How does the online university credit hour system work?
I have been researching the more popular online universities and have come upon some information that is making my head spin. There are two universities that I've looked at (DeVry and Phoenix) that offer a bachelors degree in 120 credit hours. Four other online colleges offer the same degree program except it will take 180 credits. I don't understand this large jump in numbers. What's the difference and in the end which would be more cost efficient?
So if two schools charge $250/credit hour and one school says you need 120 credits to graduate and the other says 180 (using the difference between semester hours and quarter hours) would there be a difference in cost?
A: the difference is between semester hours and quarter hours. A quarter hour is 1.5*semester hours. you will be taking the same amount of classes, just will see the number of credits each are worth are different. as for cost, the type of credits shouldn't matter.
Q: Which online university would you recommend?
I am looking for an online university that offers BBA (Bachelors degree in Health care Administration) I am also wondering on which university degrees are honored by employers as well.
I am in a power chair and looking for a decent paying healthcare admininstration job that I can do at home. Any suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks!!
Ok, Which one AIU Online or UOP online?
A: University of Pheonix is usually a good one
or Kaplan
Q: Would anyone know of a good online university?
I'm looking for a Global Information System's master's degree. Anyone know of an online, take the classes when I can, university? I'd prefer not to do the University of Phoenix as the last I checked they were like $500/credit hour. That's outrageous.
A: You could do an online (or distance learning) degree with a traditional University (many offer online courses as well).
A good degree is usually going to cost you money. There are grants and scholarships, but they're usually for students who study within the University (check fastweb for the grants available... there may be something for your background).
If you're in State, most public Universities have good degrees at reasonable prices. Community Colleges are the cheapest (often free), and they often offer flexible hours, and have links to respectable four year colleges.
I got scholarships when I thought I couldn't get any, and I had my room and food paid for as well! I wasn't a straight A student in high school, and I didn't think I was eligible, but tried anyway, and got in and paid to study. Go for it.
Q: Do you know how and where (website) to find a scholarship for online university?
I am looking for a 2-year college but I want to attend university via online. But I am also searching for a scholarship for it. I plan to take English Literature. I am looking forward for your reply. Thank you so much before for your help. My sister needs help.
A: BEST WEB SITE EVER ...GO TO ....

Q: What option should I take for an online university/college?
I want to receive my bachelor's in business online. I've checked out several online universities and colleges. Some schools tuition includes your books and materials. And some schools offer different prices for different courses i.e., general courses or according to the level of the class. I want to attend a school that includes books and materials in the tuition but, the cost per credit from other schools are lower and I have to buy my books. What should I do? And what are other schools that offer financial aid and books and material are included in the tuition?
A: make sure the school you choose is Regionally accredited! For example most if not all schools that include the cost of textbooks for on-line courses are NOT regionally accredited ie., Grantham University Ashworth etc..
Q: What job will someone who has graduated from an online university have?
İ'm talking about a complete home schooling program.
He/she can't become a doctor or an architect by online teaching, right? So what can he/she become?
A teacher? A finance worker?
Please help. İ want to know about these e-universities.
A: Actually, there are programs in Allied Health, accounting, finance, computer science (programming), web development, digital design, criminal justice, early childhood education, game programming etc.
Stanford and Columbia have online programs in engineering. Harvard and Carnegie Mellon have online programs in Information Technology. Duke University, the University of London and Cambridge all have distance learning MBA programs. As do the University of Scranton, Benedictine etc.
Just make sure that if it's an American school, that it is regionally accredited.
Q: What is the best Online University to obtain an MBA?
I want to get my MBA online but don't know much about these online universities/courses.
A: Duke University has an online MBA as does UMass and Florida State. Your options are many and extend way beyond the UoP type schools.
I'd say that the best online MBA I know of right now is the one at Duke but that's a subjective opinion. Other good choices include the likes of Az State, U Colorado, Embry-Riddle, U Florida, Indiana, James Madison, U Maryland, U Michigan, U Nebraska, U Texas, U Wyoming, and the U. of YourState probably teaches online... it goes on and on. In fact, the MBA is one degree that gives you the most choices online.
Make certain that your choice is regionally accredited and if you can get into an AACSB program, that will be extremely beneficial. Don't expect it to be either easy or inexpensive - it will be neither.
Understand that when you say "online degree" many people immediately think of UoP and their kin -- they just don't understand the magnitude of distance delivery these days. Even Harvard and Oxford are teaching online now.
Q: Where to get cooperation from an online university?
I am a lawyer from Guatemala. I am seeking an online university from United States to provide MBA's supported by a well known university. Anyone can help me?
The diplomas must be able to be obtained online from Guatemala. I have the proper infrastructure to be a representative for the University
A: I got my degree from Strayer University online. It doesn't matter where in the world you may live, you can take post graduate work and get an MBA without ever stepping foot on campus. It is strayer.edu.
They have 12 campuses in the Washington, D.C-Virginia area, and was founded in 1892.
Q: Can I get my RN from an online university, such as university of pheonix?
I'm currently working on my pre-reqs for nursing school at a local community college. My fiance and I however are getting married. he is joining the airforce and I am going with him. I know that I can go to a community college either on base or off, but I was also considering an online college. Would I be able to get my RN from one, and if so, would I be able to get hired with a degree from an online university?
A: I don't think so..
I did some research myself because I wanted to get my RN online but it's not likely. If you are already an RN you can take online courses to get your BSN.
But I guess it has alot to do with Nurses needing LOTS of practical training. It's essential.
Good luck!

Q: Is Double Major Possible in an Online University or College?
I studied abroad. Finished the requirements of one of the majors, and almost completed the other, barring a few advanced courses. Now I am considering to transfer my credits to an online university in the US.
