Q: What can I do to get into Ohio University?
I KNOW that I want to attend the Scripps School of Journalism for broadcast journalism at Ohio University. I am a junior in high school right now, and I've had a 3.0 GPA both my freshman and sophomore years. I'm not sure what my GPA is now, but I'm sure it's around 3.4. Do I still have hope of getting into the Scripps School? And just out of curiosity - how many students attend OU Athens?

A: Don't listen to Nick, he's a sixteen-year old moron who told me to drop out of college. A 3.0 and above is excellent, considering the highest GPA mark for your school would be a 4.0. Even if it's not, that's usually still pretty good. Just partake in clubs you love, and keep studying. You don't have to overdo it! Please, PLEASE ignore Nick. I blocked him and so should you.

A: Scroll down to the grey section on this page, the address is right there. http://undergrad.osu.edu/ You shouldn't be sending your transcripts yourself anyway. The schools you've attended should be sending them to the university. If you send them OSU has no idea if they're real or not.

A: After all danger of frost is past. For central Ohio, that's May 15th. You could also start them 2-3 weeks earlier inside, and then transplant the seedlings outside after the last frost date.

1310/2400 i have taken seven honors and AP Calculus. such as university of cincinnati or ohio university?

A: I cant think of any school in Ohio you wouldn't get into with that. I had a 2.9 and a 1350 and got in to all that I applied to. You may even get some scholarship money to some of them.

without re-taking the exam. I have taken alot of honors and AP classes. also 1310 SAT Schools in ohio such as university of cincinnati and Ohio University? Not Ohio State.

A: Your GPA is ok as is your SAT score but that is a pretty low ACT. Are you sure you gave your score out of 36 and if you did is that 1310 out of 1600 or 2400? Either way I am sure there are universities in Ohio that will accept you as colleges don't put that much emphasis on test scores. Keep in mind you are OK for admission but you might want to do some work for some scholarships. Good Luck!

I heard it was oct 31st but i wanna make sure the right date and what time.

A: im a student at OU and the party is ABSOLUTELY Saturday, Novermber 1, NOT Friday the 31. There will be plenty of parties friday night too, but Saturday night is the real one.

Q: How good are the club tennis teams at UMass-Amherst, Ohio University. and Old Dominion?
I've applied to those 3 schools, still don't know which one I will attend. Whatever school I choose I want to try out for the club tennis team but not sure about the ability levels of the players. If anyone has any info about how good the players/teams are, it will be greatly appreciated!

A: If you get along with people in the tennis club, every place would be great. The ability of the players vary by player, I think they would at least be a 4.0. But you should choose a school based on their merits academically.

Q: Does anybody know if you can bring fish or animals in a fish tank to Ohio University?

Q: What Can I do with an Associates in Arts with Emphasis on Social Science Degree from Ohio University?
I am really tired of working temporary factory jobs or in Kitchens, and I would actually like to make use of the degree that I have worked hard to obtain, but I have no clue where to even begin.

A: My apologies to the person who suggested teaching, but you cannot teach in the public school, much less college, without the miniumum of a Bachelor's Degree. Most community colleges require a Master's Degree with at least 18 hours above in your specialty field; most colleges and universities require a doctorate or the equivalent. I would encourage the questioner to continue to pursue his Bachelor's Degree; now it is possible to do the last two years at any of several accredited online institutions at one's convenience while holding down a full-time job. If the questioner hasn't already done so, I would suggest an aptitute test to discover his areas of interest. Social Science is a very broad area incorporating history, government, social work, anthropology, psychology, and sociology, to name a few. His state's Department of Human and Social Services might be a good place to begin.

Q: If you go to Ohio University, how is it there?
Ohio University is the ONLY college I want to attend. Even though I haven't done much research about it. I've heard it's a party college but nonetheless the best college. So, I want to ask you (if you do attend OU or wanted to) how is there? Whats the surrounding neighborhood like? And hows campus life. --in your opinion or experience. THANKS!

A: Well first things first... dont go to a school because it's the best party school, thats just dumb, if you (or your parents) are paying that much money for you to get an education... i dont think you should be worried about they party portion of the school. and second... ive been there... overrated

Q: I hear a lot about the Ohio State University football program, but nothing about University of Ohio. Why?
University of Ohio football: why do I never hear about them? What conference are they in? Who do they play? I don't recall ever seeing them on tv. Where are they located?

A: They are in the MAC. Which is why you won't hear much about them unless they get to 8 or 9-0 some year. They are an Athens Ohio team that is on tv regionally when they play OSU and some other occasions. Schedule and MAC teams listed on link below.
