Q: Is it easier to get into Ohio State University as a junior?
I didn't get in as a freshmen, but have gone to another state university for the past 2 years but am trying again. Is it easier to get in as a junior because of people dropping out in my class or having established a good college level gpa?
A: Actually, I hear that university transfers are last priority in the admissions process. Apparently the best route is to go to a junior college and then transfer from there since they are their top priority in terms of transfer admissions.
You should still try though!
Q: Does Ohio State University accept credits from Penn Foster College?
I am attending Penn Foster College and doing an online degree in Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education and am interested in transferring to the Newark Branch of Ohio State University for my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and would like to know if Ohio State University accepts Penn Foster transfer students?
A: http://www.degreeblogger.info/80_university.html
Q: Is The Ohio State University's photography program as good as they say?
I am considering going to OSU for photography and business. Is it a good school for photography, and if not, what is a good photography school, besides OIPT, in ohio?
A: yes
Q: How is terrelle pryor doing at The Ohio State University?
We heard so much hype about him the football prospect out of jeanette does anyone know how he's doing in summer workouts?
A: No news yet. He didn't make it to spring practice, and I don't believe they have started fall practice yet. Even if they did, there hasn't been any word on what he is doing. OSU is stacked at QB, with Boeckman, and Bauserman. Pryor might compete for the starting job in 09, but he wont in 08. They might have a package for him on third downs, or for a series, but it's to early to tell. You probably wont know until the USC game.
Q: Where can I find information about clubs at Ohio State University?
I know that OSU has hundreds of clubs, but I can only seem to find information online about sport clubs. Does anyone know where I can find a list of all the clubs?
A: Night clubs? http://www.columbuscene.com/niteclubs.htm
Organizations to join? http://www.ohiounion.osu.edu/studentorgs/
I wasn't sure which kind you meant so here's info on both! Good luck at OSU and be safe. Campus has some pretty shady places!
Q: any muslim students currently studying in Ohio State University?
i am considering OSU, but i need to know what the environment is like for muslim students. I live in an Asian country, and the only western country i've been to is australia. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me more about the lifestyle/ how easy or difficult it is to get halal certified food, any discrimination to muslim students? thanks!
how about any muslim student studying in the U.S? I really need this info.
A: G'day,
How abt studying in the only western country that you have visited? You have been there so you know what's it's like. There are very little discrimination in Australia against any race or religion. More and more halal restaurants are opened, mostly by the Indonesians also halal groceries.
Just a thought. B'cos you are thinking of going to the place where you haven't been, so it may be more doubtful.
E-mail me at mikegun(at)studentfirst.com.au if you have more questions abt study in Australia. Good luck on your study :)
Q: Which is better between Case Western Reserve University and Ohio State University?
I want to go for biochemistry and participate a lot in research. Both are research universities, but which will give me more options?
Also, I have never watched a whole game of football (don't hurt me, please)
Also, I don't know if this is relevant, but I plan to pursue a degree like an MD or PhD or both.
Thanks in advance!
A: I live in Ohio and both schools are very good. I suggest you make an appointment with a advisor and talk to them, and get a tour of the school. Check out the classes and program you will be taking, and the costs if that matters. Then go from there. Case Western however is known more for their medical programs with it being one of the best around. So with that being said, if you like both the same, go with Case especially if you want to go for your MD.
Q: Is Ohio State University a hard school to get into?
What are the average GPA's and SAT scores for transfer students going into OSU? Is OSU generally considered a hard school to get into?
A: I don't know the average, but if you are a decent student, you should get in easily. There should be no doubt in your mind as to whether you will be accepted. It is a state school, so it is easier than a top tier university like Harvard and other Ivies.
Q: When do i know who my professors are for my classes at Ohio State University ?
Im gonna be a freshman this fall at OSU, i want to know when we would know who our professors are. Also if they did release the info, where can i find it ?
A: You have to log in your account on University's site. Under my schedule or my class you'll be able to see your class info and also your instructor's name n email id n stuff
Hope this helps
Good Luck with your studies
Q: My college decison is between University of Florida and The Ohio State University. Which to choose?
Even if you dont know much about one of the schools I need info on both. I am really looking for pros and cons on each to help make my decision. I am so confused on where to go so i need HELP! Anything will do! Thanks!
I live in florida now and lived in ohio for 15 years.
Please forget about sports and weather
A: Ohio State is the way to go. Better school, academics, and weather (seasons). plus buckeyes are better at sports
Q: Ohio State University, University of Wisconsin — Madison or University of Maryland for anthropology?
Or archaeology. I plan on doing an anthropology/archaeology degree. I'm a good student and could probably get into some high-performing private schools but I 1) want a big public schools and 2) don't think it's right to spend that much money for my bachelor's degree.
I live in RI. URI has a fantastic program for oceanogrophy, but other than that it's fairly average. It also doesn't have a program for archaeology or anthropology. I have Brown in-state, but I'm not forking out that much money just for the Ivy League name.
A: All three of those universities are great schools. Overall, I would rank them UW, UM then OSU.
However, if saving money is your objective, then you are leaving out one critical piece of information -- where do you live. All three of those schools charge three times as much if you are out-of-state. Considering the aid given by private schools, they may be cheaper.
Q: How would you react if the 2007 NCAA Final Four was between University of Florida and Ohio State University?
How would you react if the 2007 NCAA Final Four in Atlanta, GA was between the University of Florida Gators and the Ohio State Universtiy Buckeyes? And who do you see winning
If these two teams played each other, it would be a rematch of the BCS Football National Championship except it would be a basketball game and not a football game.
A: i would be a little surprised because of florida's recent struggles, but it wouldn't really knock me off my feet or anything...i think if they were to play, ohio state would win this time, they would have revenge on their minds for the beatdown florida gave them, plus they are a much more mature team than they were when they played that game
Q: What are my chances of getting into Ohio State University?
My GPA is only 3.44 and my ACT was a 29. how bad or good are my chances of getting in?
A: go bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue
Q: Can I be admitted to Ohio state university with a 2.5 gpa with high sat score?
I really want to go there and become a buckeye but I'm afraid my gpa is way too low. I don't want to attend a cc and go through the whole transfer process again. OSU is my dream school and I'm wondering if my sat score (2200) can be of help towards my acceptance.
A: Your SAT score should help but it may or may not be sufficient. Other things are looked at as well. The only real way to determine your status is to apply.
Q: What types of credits do you need to go to Ohio State university?
I am lookign to go there but dont no wat type of credits i need.
Like for ASU i need
4 math credits
4 language arts
3 science credits
2 history
2 credits of forign language
1 high school fine arts
