Q: Has Anyone Ever Heard of the Sing a Mile High Festival in Denver &/or Young Voices of Colorado?
If you've heard about the festival, have you ever attended it? If you've heard of the choir, Young Voices of Colorado, do you know anyone in it? Ha, yes I know random question, but I was just thinking about my experience with the festival at Denver University and was wondering if any of you were familiar with it. :]

A: Nope. What is it?

A: The best for Psych are Cornell and Brown (especially Brown.) Other decent ones are U Richmond and U Denver. St. Edward's, Schreiner, and U Puget Sound do not have great reputations.

Q: Which University is more prestigious/better ratings: Clemson University, Tulane University, or Denver Univer.?
Like, which name holds more clout, is better respected, and generally has better academics?

A: On the US News and World Report College Rankings: U. of Denver is 85th Tulane is 50th Clemson is 67th That shows that pretty much all of these colleges are well respected, but Tulane is the most prestigious.

Q: Where do I find the place where I can obtain the films from 1957 football game Air Force Academy / Denver Univ
The football game in 1957, Air Force Academy against Denver University at Denver University. I would like to obtain the film of that game, my husband was on the Denver University football team.

A: Unfortunately, most of those old films do not exist as they were not saved. However, you can contact Doak Ewing, an avid collector of old baseball films. He might know of some old football footage. Here is a USA Today article about him and Larsen's perfect game.

Q: University of Colorado (CU) or University of Denver (DU)???
Which school is better? CU or DU? I'm looking for a good business program that will help me to start my own large business after in some industry. (FYI: currently own my own small business that is helping me pay for college) Sense I'm not sure what I want to do after college, I'm also looking for a school that has good programs in environmental studies/science, real estate/construction management, health care admin, investing, law...I think you get the picture. Also, an accelerated 5-year MBA program would be nice. What do you all think? Thanks!

A: C.U.

Q: Which has better nightlife, "cooler" ppl, better atmosphere, location etc: U. of Denver or Regis University?

A: I'd go with DU primarily for location. College kids are pretty much all the same, they love a good party! But Regis is in the North side of town just off Federal Blvd; sandwiched between da hood, and Commerce City. DU is in the SE part of the city which is quieter and a has a bit more variety of bars/taverns. So if you're not into cruising Federal or dealing with the little troublemakers that cruise Federal, or the mexican bars on Federal, go DU (plus they have a kick@ss hockey team).

Q: Can you buy plane tickets through your university?
I go to the University of Colorado at Denver, if you specifically know about my school or if you know generally speaking that would be sweet. If you can buy through your schools travel agency will it really be that much cheaper than something you could find online?

A: I have never heard of purchasing airfare through universities, but it might be worth your while to get a student travel card. www.statravel.com This will get you discounted airfares, hotels, rail-passes, etc. through their site and other discounts once you're abroad.

Q: University of Denver, CO? cool place to be?
for an exchange student!

A: I dont know about the university, but denver is nice. Big but its pretty. You have the views of the rocky mountains from a distance. It is on the front range, so you have snow but most days are not bad at all as far as driving. If you dont mind the people, you would like denver. (I would check into the schools) CU denver is really good (that is University of Colorado-Denver) but I dont know if you are speaking of something different. Anyway. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Q: University of Denver?
I really want to go somewhere fun. Do you guys know anything about UD? Is there a lot to do? I think if I applied I could get in. I have a 4.3 GPA and I'm in governor's school. I've been on the soccer team for almost 4 years. Do they offer scholarships? Study abroad programs?

A: I know two people who go there. One is a sophomore and just spent a semester in Italy. The other is a junior and just spent a semester in Australia. So yes they do offer study abroad programs. Like any college, it has the partying if your looking for it. It is located right next to a lightrail station, so you can go anywhere in Denver, by walking less than half a block. If you are talking about athletic scholarships, I think they might, but don't know. I heard they are a little stingy with money, but that's just a rumor. I know people usually go there for one of two things (their strongest departments) premed and international relations. I'm sure you know this, but the current secretary of state (Condelezza Rice) used to teach at DU.

Q: What college is better...CU Boulder or DU (University of Denver)? Thanks!?
I'm looking to major in business (entreprenuership) and environmental studies/ecology/environmental science...but I'm also interested in bioengineering, economics, energyand real estate/construction management...just to name a few. I want a good undergraduate education and would like to get an MBA after...maybe even a JD or PhD in some field. I'm currently at CU Boulder as a freshman, but am unsure if it's the right school for me. I prefer smaller classes and environments where I'm not a #, but is DU worth the price? I got a scholarship there that covers roughly half the cost, but even then it's still more than CU. What would you pick? Thanks!

A: If you would thrive in the environment of DU while you feel a bit lost at Boulder, it is definitely worth more money.

Q: McMaster University vs. University of Denver.?
What school is better?

A: McMaster, for sure. However, Denver is far superior as a location.

Q: University of Denver or Seton Hall Univ.?
I'm into my fourth month here at Seton Hall and I'm not sure if it's what I really want. I'm majoring in International Relations. I heard Condaleeza Rice graduated from DU and it's also in the top 100 Universities ranking which is why it looks better than where I'm at now. How would I go about finding more information to see if transfering to DU would be better than Seton Hall? Well I'm pretty familiar with the areas of both of them since 1) I'm originally from 1 hour North of Denver and 2) I'm going to school at Seton Hall right now. What I'm having trouble with is comparing the programs they have in International Relations. How do they match up?

A: They are both Private Institutions. DU is the oldest and largest private university in the Rocky Mountain region, whereas SHU is the oldest diocesan university in the United States. They both have good programs. However, Western Universities (Utah, Colorado..etc) tend to be located in more quietr environments which are more conducive to studies and generally are top quality schools academically. Generally, tuition is much cheaper in the West than New York (and its surrounding) areas. Although SHU is located in South Orange, New Jersey, it is only 14 miles from Manhattan ( a large metropolis). I take it that you mean undergraduate studies. The last I knew, SHU had a very rigorous program in International Relations, graduate and undergraduate. The undergraduate included DIplomacy, a foreign language, global studies and an excellently appealing internship. On the other hand, I understood DU to have a graduate program in International Studies (note the name). I was not aware of DU's undergraduate program in International Relations or in International Studies. Visit DU's WEB SITE and get better acquainted. http://www.du.edu/
