All the schools I've ever found for furniture design ar eon the East coast. Any on the West coast you know of?

A: Furniture isn't a very big industry here on the West Coast. After all, North Carolina is the furniture capital of America. You might look into Design majors, which could have an emphasis in Industrial Design.

Q: What are the best Universities in south west Georgia? I have three choices of schools.?
I researched a few universities on 4 different web sites. One site is college reviews. I am either going into accounting, education or social work. Which university is the best among University of West Georgia, Kennesaw State University and Jacksonville State University in Alabama. UWG and Kennesaw are more selective and do not accept GED. Am I more likely to find a job if I go to a more selective school. I bet most employers don't look at which school you went to. I bet they look at GPA and check with the school to see if you have a degree in the field that you are applying for.

A: reputation of school does make a difference (even though some will say it doesn't - usually those from less prestigious schools - never heard anyone from Harvard or Yale say this. Of the schools you mention University of Georgia is probably the best. Now certainly if you have a 4.0 from one and a 3.0 from the other the name won't make a difference. Bu you better believe that if you have a 3.8 from Georgia and someone else has a 3.8 from one of the others...you will be looked at a bit more seriously all other things being equal. DA

Q: Are there any professional wrestling schools in West Virginia?

Q: What are some good undergrad schools on the west coast (U.S.) for dentistry?
I am a high school student located in the midwest and would like to go to a college on the West Coast (preferably California). What are some good schools to apply to for an aspiring dentist with a high school WEIGHTED GPA of 4.0 and what are my chances of getting into those schools (considering my location and GPA). I have not taken the ACTs or SATs yet.

A: University of the pacific is one of the best. It is in Stockton, California. It is competitive to get in but with grades like that you should be fine. http://www.uop.edu/ is the website. You should check it out. Other than that UCLA is good for almost everything but extremely hard to get into. the CSUs are good also but some are better than others. You should look for a list ranking the best schools for dentistry or at least science. Besides that it is good to look for a school that is well rounded in case you find dentistry is not the thing for you. Also environment. If you want a college by the beach or not. University of the pacific is not by the beach i'll tell you right now. But it offers great training and has a clinic on campus to get hands on experience . Students and people in the community can go for teeth cleanings etc. for a nominal fee while students get the opportunity to learn from experience. i know I enjoyed the school and my friends in the dentistry program, while challenging felt that they were learning skills that would prepare them.

Q: I am looking for top Journalism schools on the West Coast where I can play woman's volleyball at NCAA DIV 1,11?
If you have any information, it would help me to narrow my search. Thanks!

A: Hmmm -- you might want to play around with the College Board search (www.collegesearch.collegeboard.com) and see what you come up with, and compare it to the lists on the NCAA site of Division I and II volleyball teams. Off the top of my head though ... Arizona State, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CSU Long Beach, CSU Sacramento, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, University of Nevada/Reno, University of Washington. Some of these are very high-level, nationally ranked teams. Good luck with your search. I think you're starting with the right idea -- find an academic fit, and then check out the athletics.

Q: Are there any Decent Vet Schools out West?
I've looked at various grad schools in the east from UF, UGA, and Tuskeegee up to Michigan, Iowa, and Penn State. Anything would be helpful, even if it's not necessarily in the Midwest/West. I've thought about overseas, but the U.S. Exams don't seem to be very appealing.

A: University of California at Davis. University of Arizona at Tucson. Colorado State University at Fort Collins. I'd reccomend them in that order.

Q: The issue of Islamic schools seems to be a contentious issue in the west; do you have any solutions?
My solution would be to just ban all religious schools. Catholic schools, Anglican schools, Jewish schools, Islamic schools…you name it, ban them all. I mean, when you think about it, why have schools with religious affiliations anyway? What purpose do they serve? Schools are where knowledge is passed on to new generations, not religion. They can still have their churches and places of worship and this is where they can pass their religion on to their children if they want to, but in a better world than this, all schools would be religion free zones, don’t you agree?

A: If people want to send there kids to religious schools, it shouldn't bother you. If u want to send your child to a secular school then do it, no one is stopping you. Parents generally send there kids to certain school because they think thats whats best for their kids. Why does that bother you so much?
