Q: How long does is take to become an electrician if you do to trade school?
My boyfriend wants to go to trade school to become an electrician, but I have a couple questions. In California, how long does it take? & will my boyfriend still be able to work and go to school, or is it extremely time consuming like beauty school? Also, do you need a high school diploma? & how does the process of becoming an electrician actually work?
Also, is there any kind of financial aid for trade school?
A: I dunno if this will help...
But I'm a 2nd year apprentice electrician in Australia.
The government here gives us $1000 each year just to be an apprentice. It takes 4 years until you are fully qualified. We also have the option to go to a technical college. In are final 2 years of high school, Year 11 and Year 12, over here, we could do part time work/school. So 1 day trade school, 2 days high school, 2 days work. So instead of 4 years, the apprenticeship takes 5 because the 1st year is part time for 2 years. Here you only need Year 10 pass but it depends on the employer.
Q: What is the best way to get a grant or a scholarship for a trade school?
My wife is looking to get a grant or scholarship for around $3000 to attend a trade school to earn a license to be a nail tech. Any websites or advice would be most appreciated. Details please!
A: Hello how are you? What I suggest that you do is use a scholarship search. A scholarship search allows you to create a profile and receive information for all the scholarships that you are eligible to apply for based on your profile description. Scholarshipsupport.com actually has 2 free scholarship searches available right now. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
Q: Is a community college better then a trade school?
I have never attended college before and im wondering if i should go to a community college or go to a trade school. Im 23 years and just want something in the medical field... I wanna be a nurse but i want something fast and easy right now.
A: I would say if you want something that is fast and easy go to a trade school because they will train you fast to get you into the work force fast.
Q: What are some good jobs you can get from a career/trade school?
I'm looking into going to a trade or career school, such as penn foster, metro business college or allied college and I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has gotten a degree or certification from any of these type of schools and found a good job in a decent amount of time. There was a few things I was considering such as medical coding and billing, medical transcription, administrative assistant, medical secretary, personal trainer. Has anyone done these jobs with any luck?
A: Hi,
I know about medical transcription and medical coding profession. I can suggest both are good to earn and settle in life. For coding, you can see www.ericacodes.com and for transcription www.mtstars.com
You can also check below group for further details.
Q: Which is more legitimate community college or trade school?
Which is more legitimate (in the eyes of an employer) community college or trade school? I've been to both and I'm leaning towards community college as the better bet. What do you think?
A: It honestly depends on what career you want to enter into. If you want to be a mechanic, a carpenter, or a welder then trade school would be a better option. However, if you want to say work in construction and eventually move up into management you might be better off getting a formal education.
Q: will i get a pay grade in the navy if i graduated an accredited trade school?
i am an entry electrician does the navy have good electrical programs?
how long are the deployments?
i have 27 college credits and graduated an accredited trade school what pay grade would i fall under?
A: You can be a Seabee CE rating or EM on the boat or an AE aviation electrician.
Reserve duty you can be up as a E-4 with experience.
If you have 27 credits you are basically automatic E-3.
Q: Has anyone graduated from a trade school and works successfully in that field?
Watching all these commercials on TV for trade schools (ie ITT Tech, Bryan Straton) and I wonder if a good job that pays for the tuition in the end is possible.
A: Trade schools, like any college education are well worth the investment if you study hard and make the grades. It all comes down to you in the end. I've found that trade schools are an excellent route for the person who's not interested in attending a 4 year college and just wants to get a skill and start working. There are a lot of very successful people out there with trade school degrees or certifications. My husband is one of them. He completeed a 9 month certification program in computers. Now, he is the Director of IT for one of the largest newspapers in the country. To get more information on trade schools, check out:

Q: Do you think that its better to go to college than a trade school?
Do you think your guaranteed to make more money if you go to college than a trade school?
A: Life is full of possibilities, there are no guarantees
Q: Will the Government pay for a Trade school?
I know they will fund for college courses, but will they fund for a trade school such as Lincoln Tech or ATI? I am a single parent, and i want to attend AutoMechanic School, I just can not afford the tuition with what I am making. so to summarize, Will they and if they will, where would i began i.e. what website would i visit, where would i go in town or who do i write to.
A: You can get grants and even a low cost student loans to help out with expenses. As long as you are in school the loans are in deferment, so you don't have to worry about them until you graduate/certification, or get employed.
WWW.FAFSA.COM click on it and fill out an online application. They will ask what Technical School and a school code. You can list one or more schools. Do a search on Lincoln Tech or ATI they may have online applications as well. Keep copies for future reference.
You are on your way. Good Luck.
Q: Whats a good job w/ good pay when you go to a trade school?
I was thinking of going to a trade school?
A: You can go for anything. It depends what you do after you graduate. The best bet would be to open your own business. You can get paid whatever you want, control your own hours, and you can bring in any ideas! I am currently attending a trade school to become a chef. I want to open my own restaurant which can get me more money than if I was work in a restaurant owned by someone else or was to even become a manager the owner will still make more money. Choose whatever field you desire but try opening up your own business. My great uncle opened a nursing home and was RICH!!! I mean it. Although he lost it all when someone died there and they sued him. (This all happened in 2000) My dad had his own business for computer programming and made 125,000 dollars a year. So opening your own business can work just make sure you are more precautions and know what you are doing which you will get out of this trade school.
