I like to go on youtube and facebook during school but they are blocked so I use: yourmom.in to get to those blocked sites which works really well but teachers have found out about it and are blocking it as of Monday. Does anyone know of any similar websites that don't give you many popups?

I am having a little trouble getting through the school filter that blo ck websites and they have an automatic Proxy bypass filter so that I can't get on any of them because it is instantly detetcted. Is there any other way to get though these filters? Yes Jess, you'd think so but they have an automatic filter system that blocks websites that have a certain colour code or is slightly suspected, but it blocks things wrongly at times and has even managed to block Google and about 3 other search engines. Yahoo is the only one I can use now!

A: Your school filter can detect a proxy as soon as you try it and either block it on the fly or notify an admin to block it manually. The bottom line is that all proxy's will eventually get blocked. As the filtering software gets more advanced they will get blocked faster and faster. There is also the question of the rules and laws you are breaking by trying to hack your school security system. Finally even if you got a proxy to work for a short time you are inviting the proxy owner, many of whom are using the proxy for hacking purposes, to infect and or hijack your school network. A: Most schools have caches, which means that students can't access sites that are not relevant to learning. Some of these go too far and you can't even access sites you need for research. Its probably supposed to keep students focused on schoolwork so they don't spend hours on facebook instead of studying. Different schools do it in different ways. My first high school was so bad because it blocked everything. We couldn't even do research for assignments properly because sites would be blocked. But other schools just block chatrooms and msn messenger but still allow facebook and hotmail etc. There are ways around it, but you'd probably get into trouble if you started hacking into your school computers. It sucks but you are at school to learn so just do your facebook and stuff at home.
