Q: how much should a typical high school spring break vacation cost?
I'm a high school senior right now and i'm planning on going on a trip with a few friends for spring break (april). How much should i be spending for a typical trip? Also, what would be some good locations?

A: Well I would find a friend that has a beach house and stuff that way you wont have to pay for a room cuz that can really add up but just with food and spending money and also figure in going out I would say anywhere from 500-1000 it depends on how classy you want to travel. If you go where there is a beach you will spend less cuz you dont have to pay to lay around :)

Q: Is high school spring break in Panama City Beach any good?
I am planning on heading down to panama with some friends the week of April 6th 2009... Will there be a lot of kids still down there?

Q: Which high school spring sport should I do?
I am currently a high school freshman in New Jersey. I do volleyball in the fall and basketball in the winter. I want to do a sport all year round and I don't know if I should do lacrosse or track? My best friend is doing lacrosse so that is a factor. What do you think?

A: I would probably do track, but thats just because everyone makes the track team, and its easy if you've never done it before.

Q: When school closes for snow days, should schools then have make up days in the spring time?
I believe that when in the winter time schools decide to close because of the snow, that when spring time comes, schools should require the kids to come in and make up the time lost from the winter school closings. This way, our kids are not losing out on lessons because of snow days. How does everyone else feel about this? And, do any of the schools do this in the spring time? Sheila H.

A: Schools put extra days into the calendar for snow closings and other emergencies. If there are too few snow days they do have extra days. If there are too many snow days in the calendar many schools have extra days off during the spring./

Q: When do high school's spring breaks start in Washington?
Particularly in the Seattle, Lynnwood area. My mom and I are planning on crossing the border from Canada to shop. We're going some time this week and I'm hoping it's this week that the schools will still be in school so the stores are not so busy and crowded. Thanks :)

A: Each school district is different. Edmonds school district (near Lynwood)is in school this week. Everett school district is on half days (elementary only) this week. High schoolers are in school. Usually spring break is either the week before or the week after easter. This year many schools in the area are taking spring break March 30-April 3.

Q: Too late for Korean public school jobs this spring?
I'm trying to find a job in Seoul public schools, but I'm a little confused as to the deadlines. The recruiter Korea Connections says there are only jobs starting in Sept 2009 and looking at the SMOE website this seems to be the case. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a public school job starting this spring? If it's too late, does anyone have any recommendations at all regarding hagwons?

A: Korea a great market for teaching English with that said dont trust the recruiters, they want you to go to the private school not the public. There are many opertunity in the Public School year round. The Public school are done through the "Epic" program. Also English Village is like a public school too. It take students through a three month program. If you do go to private school I put some website you might try for jobs. A few school to look at that are good are YBM and Pagada. Stay away from Wonderland, Kids Club, and Little University. One last place in the Korean Herald English School . Itiwon, Kangnom, and anywhere near downtown is the best place to work. One benifit to teaching at the private school is once you have a year under your belt you can teach at the college and universities. Some FYI info for Korea. Pay; don’t take anything less then 2.2 million Won ( about 2,000 USD) in Seoul a bit less in other cities (1.8 to 2.0 million Won). Also get single housing. Make sure your comunte from work to home in no more then a half an hour by subway. Anything more then a half an hour in Seoul is murder. As for recruiter. Can really recommend any. Most of the one I used were so- so. If you do a key word search on Yahoo with “Teaching English in Korea ” you will come up with a list of thousands of recruiters. The key with the recruiter is know your demand and stick to them. Know the money you want, the city/area, and the hours, and type of students. DON’T LET THE RECRUITER TALK YOU OUT OF YOU DEMAND. YOU ARE GOLD AND YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING YOU WANT. Here are a few website you might want to look into area. Q: what can i expect starting school in the spring in a nursing program?
im going to school full time and working part time so as not to overwelm myself, but i am wondering how hard the prgram is because i have heard the courses for nursing are difficult. also, after college, what type of steps are required after (certification, school, etc.)?...sorry lots of little questions, very curious!

A: Depends on where you live and what kind of program??? I just graduated from an associates program in the US and after school I just had to take State board exams and pass. My program was 2 years (4 semesters) and expect alot of reading, paper work, prep time before clinicals, and studying it is hard but you can do it!!

Q: Do school districts hire teachers in the spring semester?
I want to start teaching special ed in the spring. I was wondering is schools hire teachers for the spring, or only for the fall.

A: Sure, if they need someone they will hire at any time of the year...spec ed is a good choice, it's in great demand today...

Q: I go back to school from Spring Break tomorrow. How do I finish the year strong and stay motivated to do well?
I really want to have a good attitude during this last quarter of the year. I want to succeed in all areas. Academic, social, and romantic (i'm single) if you could give me some tips as to how to stay on track and kick this off the right way, that'd be great! thanks!

A: heres what I do because I cna care less for school but With how the economy can be and Im seeing it im not going to drop out of school, 1. just think of the last day of school, your hyped up to get out of school and it helps the days go by so much faster 2. Think positive thoughts. The moment you begin feeling negative - just stop yourself. Think about all your positive attributes - and focus your mind on the goals you will achieve. Make it a goal to stay positive every hour, and prevent yourself from thinking anything negative.

Q: If you finish school in the fall and walk in the spring, what year do you graduate?
I am completing my associates degree this fall. The community college had me fill out a graduation application for Fall 2006. I will not be returning to the college in the spring for classes. They said that everyone walks in the spring even if you finish school in the summer or fall. WIll my diploma say "2006" even though I technically walk and "graduate" in spring 2007? Anyone in community college familiar with the graduation process? I know I sound stupid, but no one I know graduated in the fall.

A: I went to a four-year school. I completed all the course work necessary for my degree in the fall, too. I didn't walk in the Spring, although I could have. I don't know where my diploma is so I can't check it. BUT, on my official transcript, it lists the date my degree was awarded as December 2001. What counts is the "degree awarded" date on your transcript, not your diploma.
