Q: i wanna see high school ratings or NewYork City?
Top 10 or 20 or something $[_^_^_]$
A: well, i live in new york city
there are these really good public schools that you need to take a test on and people even go to them instead of a private school. They are very competitive and it is difficult to be accepted into any:
the top two are:
Styvesant (i am not sure that is spelled right)
The bronx high school of science (im going next year)!
you should check out there website
Q: where can i find ratings and more info on my childs school?
i want to know what kind of school my child is going to .
ya know??
its in tx
A: Check the state department of educations website...it will contain demographic information, as well as ratings and test scores.
Q: Which ratings in the Navy can take you to E-4 after 'A' school?
I know that ratings such as CT and Nuke can get you to E-3 after boot camp then to E-4 after technical school. Are there any other ratings that can take you up there?
A: Currently, other than CT and Nuke Ratings, the ones that I know for sure are: ET, SO (SEAL) and EOD; I'm not sure about SB (SWCC) and ND (Navy Diver).
Q: Anyone have children in Ingleside TX school system? Is there anywhere to fing ratings or testing scores?
A: Don't have kids there... but there is a website you can get information on all kinds of schools across the nation.
http://www.greatschools.net/search/search.page?c=school&q=ingleside&state=TX&x=0&y=0
Q: Ratings and stuff on Laughlin,Nevada high school?
I might be moving there, anyone have any like, things to say about it?
Good or bad?
A: I went to Laughlin a few years back and stayed in the Edgewater hotel. It was an ok area, not much to do there but I expect it's better in the centre. have a good move.

William F, for the record, the federal government doesn't control your education. It's the state governments that do - just like conservatives like it. The federal government only provides a very small amount of total funding, with the majority coming from state and local government.
El Tecolote! I'm highly educated, thank. And yes, I considered population. If that's the answer, explain for me #3 Vermont, #6 Rhode Island, #8 Maine. Might want to do a little research (in this case just open the link) before declaring someone uneducated.
"Common Sense" - When will you ignorant racists ever learn? Apparently, you have no common sense, ma'am. If your blatantly racist hypothesis is correct, explain to me:
#4 CA
#5 VA
#12 NV
#13 MD
#16 FL
#19 AZ
#20 SC
CA, VA, SC, and AZ have an almost identical level of diversity as MS. And the rest of these states are also very close.
Then on the flip side explain to me these very white states:
#28 MN
#29 IN
#32 UT
#33 WI
#35 ID
#38 MO
#39 WV
#40 SD
#40 KS
#42 IA
Tied for Last - AK
Tied for Last - MT
Tied for Last - ND
Tied for Last - WY
What did I expect? I wanted to see some ignorant answer from ignorant people. I got what I expected. Lots of ignorant answers on this thread. We here regularly about how our schools aren't doing justice for our students, and conservatives want school vouchers.
And the attack of the voucher seekers always comes back to liberals denying them. However, if they'd apply some solid attention and funding to their schools, maybe there wouldn't be such an issue. It's clearly not a liberal problem. The schools in our states are doing quite fine, thanks.
And the insanity of the voucher argument is even more telling. They attack Federal Democrats on this issue when the US Govt only accounts for 10% of school funding on avg. Even then, the power of distributing ALL school funding is solely reserved for the states.
School funding is explicitly written into each state's constitution and nowhere in the US Constitution. To mandate universal vouchers, an Amendment to the the US Constitution would be required. Any action by Congress would be deemed unconstitutional.
This can't possibly be what conservatives want. It would mean big government education, and an extremely expensive effort to redefine distribution of funds and standardize them across all states by way of the US Dept of Ed. That doesn't even sound like a good idea to me.
Anyone who wants school vouchers needs to scream at their state government, not the feds. Don't start screwing with funding of schools in my state because your schools suck. That's on YOUR state.
A: Education is the backbone of liberalism. What would you expect of liberal states?
Q: Would a WNBA game against a boy's high school basketball team in a 50,000 seat arena get massive TV ratings?
A: Public interest in the WNBA is stagnant at best, and almost non-existent. Neither ESPN nor FOX Sports even bothers to report WNBA scores in their updates. Las Vega would be the perfect venue for the one transcendent event can change all that. I believe a team of WNBA All-Stars matched up against a ranked high school boys basketball team would be a massive spectacular event.. It would rivet the interest of even the non-basketball fan. A contest of this magnitude would sell out a 50,000 seat arena and generate mind-boggling TV ratings to rival NBA Finals ratings. Public fascination with the WNBA would reach an unprecedented level in anticipation of the match. Such an event would surpass the hype of the Billy Jean King vs Bobby Riggs extravaganza of 35 years ago. It would be the lead story on every sports network, in every newspaper sports section, front cover of every sports magazine, and the dominant topic of every radio sports talk show in the country. I cannot think of a single sporting event that would generate more passionate & divergent opinions about the final outcome. Wives might divorce their husbands over this game. There is no doubt in my mind the WNBA team would win the game but a gigantic segment of the American public has no clue how great the women pros really are. Those folks actually believe the boys would win. That is why the game would have such an intense galvanizing effect on public opinion. I'm getting excited just writing about the possibility. I cannot believe there is no support for such an event among WNBA executives.. I am certain any boys' team would relish the challenge; as would the women players throughout the WNBA.
Q: How easy is it to switch ratings after Basic/A-School?
Some background:
I am a 26-year-old, enlisted in the Navy (currently DEP, ship date in November). My original plan was to enlist into CTI, but I did not pass the security clearance interview due to bad credit; as such, I am currently looking at AV.
With a 146 on the DLAB, I feel like CTI is a better fit for me, but I'm looking at a minimum of one year from my enlistment date before I can even become eligible for the clearance required. By then, I'll be smack in the middle of A-school for the other rating.
What is required in order to switch ratings, besides the obvious answer of cleaning up my credit?
A: I did it, back in 99. You just have to complete all the course and requirements on your own time and then take the advancement exam for the rate you want then put in a request chit for a change of rate and on and on.
It ain't easy, I went from ABF to AT (now AV) you just have to jump though all the appropriate hoops you will get there. It does take time like one guy said they have already invested time and money to train you on one rate, so it will be a while before you are eligible to change rates.
Good Luck
Q: How do I figure out where to apply to grad school?
I'm starting my grad school search, and I'm kind of stuck on figuring out where to apply. I know the very general area I want to go to (the east coast area), and I know what I want to study (masters in social work). Now, I'm just kind of stuck figuring out how to narrow down which schools I want to apply to.
If anyone has any links of good grad school searches, or good ways to find out ratings for programs in schools, that would be great. Thanks!
A: In the east, Columbia University, Brandeis University, Hunter College (CUNY), Smith College, and Bryn Mawr have the most highly ranked Master's level programs in Social Work. (Brandeis' program is in Social Policy, which means it's the best for administration-directed folks.)
Below is a link to a ranking of MSW programs nationwide. This is the Gourman Report ranking, published by the Princeton Review. Make sure to read the information about the Gourman Report, too. There's a link to this info on the page below.
Best wishes!
Q: What do you think the efficient ratings in schools in relation to open university or in non formal education?
what im trying to ask is that, i really want to learn and know in your opinions,,that how to have an efficient rating in school in related to any non formal education..hope you help me guys..thanks in advance..godbless..
A: "Efficient ratings" [seemingly] are the latest non-educational, non-meaningful system to come along; a kind of don't ask, don't tell learning??? or more of a no fault kind of ed speak
I have no qualms about this type of meaningless terminology as long as it is kept in the realm of non-formal education; therefore, appropriate for non-degree, non-credit classes.
If I am paying for an education, I want to know how I am doing; if I am teaching the class, I owe my students an honest appraisal of their work..
Q: how do you get ratings on schools?
i am thinking about going to summit career college this dec but i want to compare it with others. i want to know that school ratings before i get involved. do you know how i can do that or a website for doi
A: there are many ways to get ratings for schools, but it really depends on what type of schools you are looking at. If you want information about Universities and Colleges in general then you can type in that in the yahoo search and it should give you different web site you can visit. Also the princeton review website has some information on that. If you are looking for graduate schools you should type in the specific field you want to find out about and that also goes for professional schools such as Medical schools or Veterinary schools.
Q: I wanted to know where in ratings stand All Saints High school, Hyd?
I have got admission into All saints high school hyderabad, I just wanted to know how the school is all about, what about the ratings of the same and even more abt the school. Can i have to website to check down the same as well.
A: All Saints High School in select group of in the top 10 best schools in Hyderabad.
What is common between the wristy maestro Mohammed Azharuddin, `chicha' of Hyderabad cricket Abid Ali, suave bureaucrat Shravan Kumar gentleman officer M. Mahender Reddy, Marxists' most visible face Sitaram Yechury and popular English professor Isaac Sequeira?
They all had their grounding in All Saints High School, the grand old institution of Hyderabad that is all set to celebrate 150 years of its existence. It could now be counted among the select group of 20 schools in the country to cross this important sesquicentenary milestone.
"It is the school that made me what I am today," says Prof. Sequeira with pride. A member of Class of 1947, he has this rare honour of participating in the school's centenary celebrations in 1955 as a teacher. It was in this year that the school branched out to Little Flower, St. Paul's and St. Mark's Boys Town.
Set up in 1855 by Rt Rev. Daniel Murphy, the Vicar Apostolic of Hyderabad, its earliest name was the College of All Hallows, his alma mater in Ireland. The school at that time was meant for the English and Anglo-Indian boys and the wards of the Nizam's army. Rt. Rev. Mgr Caprioti was the first Rector.
When it was started 150 years ago, the school campus was not as sprawling as it is now. Nor the famous playground where the likes of Azharuddin and Venkatpathy Raju picked up the rudiments of cricket. It was housed initially in what was Marrett's Bungalow at Basheerbagh. From there it moved to three different buildings before acquiring the present site overlooking Gunfoundry in 1874. The management of the school was taken over by the Brothers of St. Gabriel in 1932, the Order best known for promoting the cause of education.
Q: Where is the best place school to go to learn to be a helicopter pilot?
Price doesnt matter, Uncle Sam will foot the bill for me. I can do it all day instead of having to work around a job....meaning I can go to the school full time. I need the ratings for Private, Instrument, CFI, CFII, external load, Turbine Transition, mountain training, photography training, night training.
