Q: School Books !?! ?
I don't know what to put on my school books. I have put different coloured wrapping paper on each of them but it looks plain. I don't want to put posters on and i've looked in magazines to cut out things but i couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what i could put on them?

A: What I like to do with my school books is to go to some store, like Staples, or Target, and find really neat looking book covers. Book covers are soft stretchy pieces of cloth that go over your book like a sleeve. They come in all different colors and different fun designs. They are really cool! Other than that, the magazine idea sounds good. Try magazines with lots of words all over the place. Then cut out words and make a sentence, using different sizes, and fonts. :] Hope this helps! Q: Can I get my hands on A-school books before I go into the Navy?
I am shipping out to boot camp in November and I was wondering if it is possible for me to study for the A-school material now. A: No not really. If you have done some of your pre med stuff already you should be in good shape.

I am working with kids with disabilities and so i need to know that and i can get some books for a group i want to start after school to work with kids. Books for math,science,social studies,and english or language arts,reading,writing and that kind of stuff.

A: The best prices on-line for homeschool materials can be found at Rainbow Resource. They are very helpful and friendly (if you need to call them). Given your circumstances, I would check with the school district to see if they have anything they can give you for free. Districts usually change textbooks every one or two years and they have to get rid of the old materials.

Q: Ideas on how to decorate my school books?
Any ideas on how to decorate the covers of my school books. ive get heaps of stickers and pictures but it just looks messy when i just randomly stick them on..ideaS?

A: You need to check with your teacher(s) to make sure you know what is and isn't allowed in school. One technique is to keep it simple. Cover with plain paper (white or coloured) and pick one matching picture. If you can afford it, use different colour for different subjects so that you can identify your books easily. You can also pick a different matching picture for the back. If you're keen on a collage (lots of pics stuck next to each other), I'm not an expert on that, but I imagine you'd have to stick to one theme for each cover. E.g., cover your science book with flowers, your music book with pop stars, your english book with magazine headline and text clippings. Hope that helps.

Q: Amount spend on school books for civil engineering?
Hi, I was wondering how much you spent on books if you bought them online during your freshmen year if you were doing engineering. I am planning to take classes geared towards civil engineering and I am going to UCI (does this school have decent civil engineering?).

A: If you are going to UCI, then THEY are the ones you should be asking these questions of!!! You can take your basic college classes there and move to another college to complete the civil engineering training in your later college years. You should ask your current teachers about the cost of books and how this college stacks up against others in this field.

Q: What tote bag is best for carrying items like school books without breaking?
I hate having backpacks for school, so I decided I would like to get a tote that is affordable but still looks good. Needs to carry lots of books!

A: Your BEST bet is to go with something SIMPLE. Most backpacks these days are everything BUT simple. They have pockets all over the place and zippers out the ying-yang. A bag that you can sling over-the-shoulder is the BEST thing you can get. Single, thick strap that goes over-the-shoulder.

Q: where can i get a cute tote bag that can hold my school books?
i need it for school.on tuesdays i take alot of books so i need it to handle alot or be tough(u migth not get what i said in the end)

A: Abercrombie has really cute ones if thats your style. If you go to abercrombie kids they are generally 10-15 dollars cheaper. Hot Topic has really pretty disney ones (they are actually almost near classy, trust me haha sounds lame but they are nice) Victorias Secret is having their sale and have a few for 9 bucks that aren't bad either. And saving the best for last, theres a brand called MIXX sold in Urban Outfitters that has very unique totes and laptop bags that are really cute. Hope that helped

Where online can I sell school books besides ebay. I have a CA real estate license book that I read the first 2 chapters of and put a couple marks on 1 page so I cant return it to the school and get a refund. Where else can i sell it?

Sideways Stories from Wayside School Wayside School is Falling Down Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger Just wondering because they are curious little storybooks and the second book is very funny. They are about 3-5th grade reading level.

A: I don't have kids yet, but I remember *loving* those books when I was a kid. I'll have to make sure my nephew has a copy when he gets a little older!

Q: How do I convince the school board to change summer reading books?
Every summer, our school has books they make us read.. out of a list of books very uninteresting.. How do I convince the school board to let us choose our books, so we don't have a bunch of uninteresting books to choose from? We should learn to enjoy reading by reading interesting books, not reading a very descriptive book on the cold war or something like that.

A: Why not come up with your own list of books as a substitute list? You could use the top 10-20 list at your area bookstore or Walmart for your suggested top titles. Most likely these lists have fiction, non-fiction, self-help, inspirational, etc. If you present your own list to the school board, maybe they will consider substituting all or part of their list with yours. It's worth a try.
