Q: How do you fell about this school schedule idea?
My school is proposing a schedule where students take 4 clases every day for a semester, and then switch and take 4 different classes for the next semester. I'm kind of doing a study on how students feel about the idea. And I'm planning on writing a persuasive essay. Let me know your thought.....please!
A: There are pros and cons to this type of scheduling. I am currently a senior at my high school and the 4 by 4 schedule has been in place before i got there. To tell the truth i think the pros heavily outweigh the cons. Some positives are that the most amount of homework that i can worry about at a time is for 4 things. That really helps if you have advanced classes. Another pro is that there aren't too many overlapping projects either. Believe me that really helped my first 2 years of high school. This way students can really have a life outside of school. After my sophomore year, the 4 by 4 schedule only applies to some students. The reason is that some AP (advanced placement) and IB (international Baccalaureate) have higher level classes that take a full year to teach. My IB Mathematics SL class is an every other day year long class and to tell the truth its not so bad. I have my other IB classes mixed in too, and since they are all higher level, they are still every other day. This is the only major con of this type of schedule. Another con of it is that u have homework every night from a class and if you have a teacher you don't like.... you have to see her everyday. But Hey, its only for a semester right? Bottom line is I liked it when it applied to me, but it doesn't make too of a difference. Hope that helps. OH and i forgot, electives and extra classes, (most of them) are still semester classes even though you are a junior or a senior.
I am gonna be online for a while, so if u have any questions just say something on here.
Bye
Q: Have you ever had a school schedule that you really hated?
I have a school schedule that has changed so much since last semester... i have way harder teachers which means ill get more homework
have you ever been in a schedule that you just hate?
A: yes, just talk to the principal and give them a good reason why you would like to change your schedule and hopefully he/she will. :)
i was always shy to change classes and suffered with mean people, bad teachers aand more!
Q: How to change a High School Schedule to have friends in your classes ?
i am going back to school soon and i cant find anyone who has a class with me. i want to switch my classes but the guidance counselors said they wouldn't change for preference. any suggestions on how i could work around this?
A: You just can't. It's unfair for the other students. I know because they didnt have enough space for me to be in Chem Honors even when I had an A+ in bio, and am the TA for the GLC. I also didnt get into Spanish Honors.
I wish I had more friends in my class, but that's not how it works. Everyone wants friends in their class, and they want to pick their teachers, and where their classes are, but if that happens, classes are going to be overfilled. You can't change, simple as that.
What you can do is try to switch courses so that there is a likelyhood that you'll share classes, but the chance is very slim.
Just make new friends, high school is about making new friends.
Q: What is your school schedule for the morning?
Ya. I haven't thought about it, cause I start school Tuesday. So tell me when you wake up and like do everything. Be specific!
A: This is not my schedule yet but it will be on Wednesday...
7-Wake up and use the bathroom
7 15-Get dressed
7 20-make breakfast
7 25-do hair
7 35-eat breakfast
7 50-relax or do something for school
7 55 leave for school
8 05 get to school
8 10 go to school
8 30 start classes
Q: Is there any GOOD ideas to change my schedule for high school?
i got my schedule for high school and i dont like it...
Is there any good ideas to talk to my canceler to change my schedule?
thanks!
A: It depends on your school.
With my schedule, I had two classes I didn't need and I didn't want, so my counselor replaced it with Spanish!!! Yay!!!
POSSIBLE REASONS TO GET A SCHEDULE CHANGE:
-A class has a prerequisite that you haven't taken.
EX: In your schedule, you are taking Algebra II before Algebra I.
-Computer error.
EX: You are missing some classes.
-You need a class on your schedule to graduate or pass your grade level, but it's not on your schedule.
EX: You need to take Algebra I as a freshmen, and if it's not on there, you can ask your counselor to put it on there.
EX: You need to take Chemistry to graduate, but it's not on your schedule, and you are a senior.
-You are taking a course and you feel that you are ready for the honors level OR you are taking an honors course and you feel that it's too much for you.
EX: You are taking Geometry and you feel that you are ready to take Honors Geometry.
EX: You are taking Honors Geometry and you feel that the class is too hard, so you have to switch to regular Geometry.
*Those are some of the reasons at my school.*
Q: How does a 14 year old lose weight with her high school schedule?
Im 14 im 5'7" and my weight was 200 pounds. I was told by my doctor that I needed to lose 50 pounds to have a healthy weight. Is that true? I have been doing crunches and bridges for a week and I lost 10 pounds but this week I havent lost any I actually gained 5 pounds. My diet isnt actually healthy but I haven't had junk food or fast food I just took smaller portions. Is that 5 pounds muscle or more weight. Is there a better way to exercise other than crunches and bridges. I would really appreciate your help because Im starting high school in a month and I dont want to be the person I was in middle school. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
A: Healthy diet.
No junk food at all until you can maintain weight. That 5 pounds is just fluctuation. That happens all the time. It's not very likely you gained much muscule in a week.
As for exersice. If you're really determined on loosing that 50 pounds, then you need to do two kinds of work out
One that really gets your heart pumping. For e xample... jogging, running, dance dance revolution (( on a hard mode, mind you )), ect.
And another thats just getting you active. For example... walking and other such things.
Just doing crunches and such isn't going to help. Yes, that will help you tone yourself so you dont look flabby when you've lost the weight. So YES keep doing those. But you need to do other things too. Change your diet, and do more excersise. It'll really help.
And give it time. Be consistant. You wont get results in a week. And you wont get results in two months if you dont do it every single day.

A: I'm here it's me who ca help you dear

let's satrt
the educational system in Algeria is based on epdagogical and theorical structures instructed by the MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION of Algeria and cointrolled by the Academy of pedagogy and education .
childeren have to enter school at the age of 6 he has to pass 6 years in primary school (now since 2005 we fellow a new educational system which minimize the primary school years into 5 years only)
anyway during these 5 years the pupile have to learn Arabic as his mother language learn mathes basis in accounting and saying numbers ... learning to wrire spell and speak
then in his 3rd year at primary school he has to learn Frensh as 1st foreign language to aquire because it is used in most of official domains of the country
then when he finishes his 5 years during which he learnt grammar science history sports civil scinec Islamic science drawing activities and frensh language of course all what he learns is elementary basically like 30% as it is common that during primary school we learn the intials stuffs all taugh by on eteacher for all the classes except frensh has its own frensh teacher the school starts from 80am to 11 am chgildren go home to have lunch meal at home
except for those who live far from school they can stay at school where there is school restaurant sponsored by the ministry of education
after they come back to class at 1 pm to 3 or 4 pm mostly to 3pm they are free it's all the week since saturday to thursday
but monady and thursday afternoon they don't have class plus friday the weekend and they have 15days holidays in winter and spring and 3months of the summer final year holidays
plus some days off religious or officials days of the country
he has to pass an exam at the end of his 5th year and became graded the primary grade
to pass to Middel school
where he has to spend 4years they have to study now harder than primary school because they will have a teacher for each class and they will study deeper
scinceof nature/ history and geography/ arabic language grammar and all/ islamic scince /civil scince / technology/ soprtactivites /drawing and paiting/ english /frensh
at the end of the 4th year they have to pass the BEM exam of middle school grade
if they pass they will go to High School where they spend 3 years
here they can choose the stream they like or they are good at
scinetific stream / literary stream /technic stream
the 1st high school year is a general basic yearin their stream then the 2end year they also can choose a brach
scientific stream divided into = maths stream scinece of nature or economy and management
literary into = lierature and foreign languges where they can learn spanish +english and frensh/ Islamic science/ philosophy and literature
also technic stream = industry / electronic and architecture
when they finish 3 years they have to sit for the Final exam of high scool Baccalureat which is the most important grade
and exam by which they can enter university they have to succeed with at least 10 out of 20 in all the grades before
and university is open to all who has bacalureat certificate
it's free also student have to pay only subscription fees to subscrib in the university and choose to study what he likes or he is good at but 10 doesn't allow all the student to have their favourit choice those who have 14 or 12 can go to medecines
also 10 is good for em they can enter college anyway
if they live far from university they can have a room in college campous also not expansive poors and rich can both have rooms there plus a bus to take em to they instutions
also student are paid a scholar ship every semester about 2700DA
only those whose parents have debts with taxes of the country can't have this amount of money till they pay their debts
i hope i have helped you dear
ask me again about anything ok
Q: Do you have any tips on getting back on my school schedule?
School is starting soon. I want tips on how to get back at waking up at 6 am. Lately, I have been going to bed at 12 pm. I have been waking up really late too. Also, do you have any tips on getting up and feeling awake and not sleepy??? I HATE that. Don't you?? Thanks in advance.
A: I am pretty much in the same situation. I actually have a class before school so I have to wake up an hour earlier. Anyway, I am trying to go to sleep a little earlier (11 instead of 12) and try to wake up a little earlier each time (around 7:30 or 8) I know it will still be a shock getting up at the time I need to for school but it will help to slowly get used to waking up. I suppose I don't need much sleep because I am only sleepy for the first 5 minutes or so after I wake up, but I drink something caffeinated in the mornings to help (bad for you, I know) After my tea or hot chocolate I feel a lot better and more awake.
I think no matter what you will be tired the first few days but then your body will learn to wake up and go to sleep at that time.
One more thing of advice, I used to try to go to sleep a lot earlier so I wouldn't be tired in the morning and I wouldn't be able to fall asleep for 3-4 hours, so I actually lost sleep stressing, so I don't suggest pushing your sleeping time too much.
Hope I could help.
Q: Does anyone have an eight day rotating schedule at their school?
I asked just asked this earlier in a different way, but it was brought to my attention that the way I worded it, I was asking people to give away some personal information. So I deleted it. Sorry about that.
I need to know what that kind of schedule is like for a school project. If you have a schedule like that, could you just explain it for me? Thanks in advance!
A: My children have a seven-day schedule. Each day is an "A", "B", "C", etc. day.
On "A" days, 1st Period meets first, 2nd period is second, etc. Seventh period doesn't meet.
On "B" days, 2nd period meets first, 3rd period meets second, etc. First period doesn't meet.
On "C" days, 3rd period meets first, 4th period meets second, etc. Second period doesn't meet.
It's a little confusing for parents, but the kids seems to adapt very quickly. You can have seven classes in the space of six. That way, if you have assembly on Tuesdays and chapel on Fridays, for example, you don't always end up missing the same class every week.
Q: According to scholarly research, what is the best school day bell schedule for middle school studnts?
Does a block schedule afford more learning, or is it wasted time? Can middle school students learn and perform for 70 minutes or is 45-50 best?
A: I went to public school where we had 90 min class block schedule and I did fine. My feshman year in high school I switched to a private school where I have 45 min classes. I couldn't imagine goin back, it's so much better and easier to concentrate.
Q: How do I get back on a regular sleeping schedule for school?
It's been 10:30 or so going to bed. But I need to go to bed at 9:30 during school. It's really hard to suddenly switch times. I just end up falling asleep at the same time, then feeling tired in the morning.
A: Be active in the day so you are tired by 9:30, or just go to bed at 9:30 and read or do something relaxing. Eventually you will get into that rhythm.
Q: How can I look at a bell schedule for a certain school?
I tried typing the name of the school and "bell schedule" in google but I cant seem to find it.
Thank you.
A: i dont think you can find that on the internet..
Q: Anyone know good reasons to change your school schedule?
I'm trying to change my schedule; I want to be with my friends, they give me more confidence during class and we help each other out when we're stuck, but I'm sure if I mention the word "friends" while talking to the secretary she won't even consider it. So, does anybody have any good reasons?
A: say that you feel "un-comfortable " in that class
the level of the particular class dosesn't suit you (too advanced or not advanced enough)
you could even get your parents to call up.. but trust me I;ve tried to get in classes w/ friends this way but it hardly eer works thye know what you are up to most of the time..I know it may be hard to obe in a class without any friends to talk to but maybe you should stay in the classes you are in now and make some NEW friends.. who knows you might meet some really cool people. Just remember if you get away with switching out with friends this year it isnt always going to work this way every SINGLE year. so you;ll have to learn to deal one time or another why not start now?
