Q: Is there a real estate school that can be attended online and qualifies for licensing in South Carolina? ?
Is there a real estate school that can be attended online and qualifies for licensing to become an agent in South Carolina?

A: www.irem.org

Q: I am planning on going to real estate school?
I was just wondering if now would actually be a good time to start becoming a real estate agent with the economy in such a slump. Oh and plus i have heard from other agents that there are fees that the agents has to pay to even be a real estate agent. From my understanding it seems that a real estate agent has to pay at least 400 to 600 dollars a month for state fees, business cards, and signs. I was wanting to know if that is true also

A: At some companies there are no "fees" for a new agent to pay. The company supplies your signs and cards. Some will even pay your dues, if they want you bad enuf. In the boom times there were lots of sales but also lots of agents. Now there are not many sales , but not many agents. There is always a delicate balance. Maybe 5% of all new agents will succeed. THe others fade away. Then more new agents arrive. You can never be sure you will be one of the successful ones..

Q: Do ONLINE real estate classes help you learn anything, or are school based classes the better way to go?
Are there some real estate schools in LA that I should check out?

A: Depends on how you learn. I like hearing a teache explain things in laymens terms rather than reading a book and interpreting it myself. I also found it helpful to record each class to refer back to while studying. If you feel like you could read the book & take a test on it without help from a teacher then online might be good for you. Like I said it all depends on how you learn and your study habits.

Q: Who is the best school for Real Estate training?
I am trying to find a school for Real Estate Agent licensure. I know Hondros is a great school but I keep hearing it's more expensive than most. Any suggestions?

A: You should be able to find a community college which offers the courses you need. Don't blow your money on a private school.

Q: What is the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to go through real estate school?

A: It all depends what state you intend to be licensed in. Here in Pennsylvania, it requires attending classes, getting credits and being sponsored by a licensed real estate broker. There was a time when a person could simply have a sponsor, pay a fee and sit for the exam. Those days are long gone in PA. AND in order to keep a PA real estate license active, ALL licensees must attend classes for Mandatory Continuing Education [MCE]. There could be accredited schools or institutions - real estate schools and colleges offering real estate courses - which are recognized gby the state where you live. . In other states there are different requirements. It’s a matter of stopping into a real estate office or calling the state real estate commission and asking a few Qs. Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer your question. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer. Thanks to everyone for reading my answer. I wish you well! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name.

Q: Can anyone tell me anything about nouveau riche real estate investing school?
I went to a seminar today for a real estate investing school called nouveau riche. They had some good speakers and success stories but no hard proof as in bank statements, etc. they seem to be growing across the US but they seem to encouraging people to use others for their own benefit to a high degree. please elaborate, if u know anything about them. thank you

A: the guy who answered before is completely inaccurate. i have been involved with the company for almost six months. the courses are incredible, not even comparable to other online or live college classes. as for the sales aspect-it is not required of you to sell the courses. some people do, some don't. it is not a pyramid scheme-at all. if you decide to market the product - your first four commissions go to whoever signed you up (and they help you through the certification process) after that, you get 100% of the commissions from then on. no money ever goes to that person again (or anybody else for that matter). anyways, the marketing is a good deal, and people do make good money doing it, but if you're going to get involved you should do it for the education, not just to make some quick money marketing. the people who try to do that ultimately fail and usually quit within a couple of months. the people making the most money marketing are people who have used the product and had success from the education. anyways, hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me. good luck! -Morgan morganr-08@hotmail.com

Q: I attend a real estate school in Philadelphia. Is there a market for salaried real estate agents?
Working for commission is all well and good, but I would like to know if a licensed agent can make decent money without having to depend on working for commission.

A: Sometimes apartment complexes hire licensed Realtors as managers. Those people are paid a salary. Sometimes shopping malls or other commercial building owners hire licensed Realtors to rent out property. Those are salaried jobs.

Q: Real Estate Assistant looking for financial aid on Real Estate School?
I have worked for a commercial company and now a residential company in Baton ROuge La, and it is something I love. Since katrina the market is great all around. But i have no money to go to school ? KNow of any programs or grants or anything. I am married wit a 6yr old . Myu hubby works away from home.

A: First you'll want to go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and apply for government grants and loans. The FAFSA is an application for both. It is the best way to tell what you'll qualify for. Since you're married, you'll have to factor in your husband's income, so be sure to have his (and your) info from last tax year. Second, you'll want to go to http://www.fastweb.com and apply for scholarships. Scholarships don't have to be repaid and it will be easier to find program-specific money (geared toward real estate education) than with FAFSA.

Q: I'm considering real estate school, I just want to rent places out to people, fix them up and rent them out.
Where do I start, and if I go to real estate schoool, where do I go from that to do my own thing (such as renting and such). Is it worth it, I like doing things on my own so I think this would be a good investment for me. I'm just scared I will go to school and not know how to start from there. Thanks.

A: You don't need a real estate license to flip houses and rent them out. You would need one if you were renting houses out or selling them for someone else if they paid you any type of fee. When selling or renting your own homes then a license is not required.

Q: Does the GI Bill pay for real estate school?
I am not in the military anymore.

A: THe G.I. Bill will pay for any accredited school. Ask the school if they accept the G.I. Bill and they will tell you what forms are needed for the G.I. Bill to pay for it.
