A: First of all, read all the answers to the questions in the Home Schooling section of yahoo answers - there is a treasure of information for you just waiting there. I have given some quality long answers and so have many others on this. Our own son was the same, always exhausted and sick from being exhausted and from hating school and the rotten teachers, and more rotten kids. He is home schooled now and hasn't been sick since we took him out, he uses Florida Virtual School and gets state credit for every class he takes, and they are not a piece of cake but he is learning so much. He has been constantly surprised about it and often comes to me saying stuff like, ''Mom, they just don't teach this stuff in school, My friends don't know anything compared to what I'm learning here,'' and so on and so on. He feels very very good about himself and his life now. You have to get your parents involved because it's on their authority that you can withdraw from school and register in home school. Your state I'm sure has a department for that. Also, google Home School Legal Defense and they can tell you what the laws are in your state and help you if you need it. They can guide your parents. Besides on line, there are many programs you might want including from The Teaching Company. They have some great stuff on everything, dvd and audio also. WE used to use auto reverse and play tapes when the kids went to sleep and they loved it, easy way to learn. You can revise your life and revitalize your brain and re- invent yourself if you want to and not be a sheep following sheep, like saying'' like'' when it's not appropiate and sounds so childish. If you want to do better and succeed, then you will, and if you don't care, then it doesn't matter anyway. Honestly, good luck to you. You have to be pretty smart or you wouldn't be thinking 'home school'.

Q: What are good reasons to have online school then to be in a classroom?
I'm doing a compare and contrast essay for school. I need a little help. What do u think is better online school or being in a classroom? what are some pros and cons about them? need more cons about the classroom. Please and thank you.

A: the school has many benefits for the children more than education and get certificate , it helps children to build their communication skills, learn them how to be in a group , how to respect the different opinions and to meet and to deal with different characters. in addition, the students know the importance and the meaning of time. they learn that every activity has it's time and that there is time for playing and time for studying . besides, the activites show their talents by being in the team of sport or music or workshop of theater acting. School forms social person who can integrate into the society when s/he will work easily. on the other hand, the online schools help student to get their certificates but they suffer of being alone and don't have opportunity to make friendship which is very important in their early age. so, they will be so serious but they have lack of self confidence because they don't practise social life. education is not every thing because we could learn by reading in books but being among friends and colleagues from the same age is an opportunity that we can never make up. in addition, being among other students helps in opening their minds because, in the class each student says his/her point of view, makes a specific presentation ,so, they learn from each other , which create of them well educated person , and flexible to the other opinions. moreover, some people and employers don't trust the certificates of online school, they think that these students are lesser competant than classroom students.

Q: How do I decide on an online school?
I am a preschool teacher and I want to go to school for a MA in special education. I prefer not to drive at night so an online school would be best for me. I am looking at Walden, Marygrove, Cappella, Grand Canyon and Western governors university has anyone attended these schools?

A: Any online school with a regional accreditation would be sufficient. While I have not gone to any of those schools, I have have heard very good things bout Grand Canyon and Western Governors University. I am currently attending Ashford University online to finish my bachelor's degree and, to date, it is a great experience and very similar curriculum to the traditional "brick and mortar" schools. Just make sure that they offer the proper classes that you will need for Special Ed. Best of luck to you.

I am already attending school 2 nights a week, and I work full-time but I also want to learn some graphic arts techniques. What are some schools I can attend that will help me to learn the skills I need to develop in the graphic arts field? I need online schools. That way I can focus on it when I have free time. Please recomend the best.

A: aionline.edu and academyart.edu are excellent schools that teach online, and you will recieve great references, experience, and top of the line connections through these schools if you want to be one of the best and have a job. As far as a great one that also doesn't require as much hard work as those two, consider sessions.edu They offer exactly what you need to know without the extensive degrees and such.

Q: Is going to an online school for a degree good?
Because I want to go to school online but I want to make sure I pick the right school and that it will be worth it.

A: Tech or AA degrees, online is perfectly fine. Bachelors and up, then no. There are some real schools out there that have online programs, but they're not exactly the same. They either make you get admitted the normal way and then choose to take online courses, or they're designed for a crowd that's not of the same caliber as their regular day students.

Q: Does anyone know of a good online traffic school?
I'm looking for an online school where I can take that four hour course to keep points off my license. I procrastinated so I need one that allows me to print out my certificate. I can't afford to wait for them to mail it.

Q: How could i convince my parents to let me enroll to an online school?
I really want to go to an online school i just hate my school. But they keep saying i never clean the house or i wont have any socializing. It costs a thousand dollars for all the classes and books together and admission fee. How could i get them to let me go?

A: Show responsibility. Clean the house, each day. And maybe get a part time job to help pay for online school. And choose at least two friends that you enjoy and can trust, that you socialize with on a regular basis. Schedule dances or movies or skating or a sport into your calendar. Then show this to them. Tell them that you have money, have cleaned house, will keep friends, and socialize. They might then reconsider.

Q: What's the best online school for criminal justice?
I want to study criminal justice and work in the legal/law field.I would like to go to school online/home study as my current work would make it very hard to attend a school in person everyday.Which school online/home study is best for this?

A: You'll do best, and have the most future options, if you do an online program that's run by a reputable, regionally accredited, brick and mortar university. So don't look at any school that's famous for being online or for-profit. Instead, focus on solid universities that also offer online degrees, and future employers will respect that degree. For criminal justice and related, I thus recommend: - Portland State University * - Regis University - Tiffin University - Abilene Christian U * - Saint Leo University - South University - Mountain State U - Bellevue University - University of Toledo * - Eastern Kentucky U * - Upper Iowa University * - Utica College * - University of Maryland ** - Fort Hays State U * I've put a star (*) next to the universities that are the better respected, although all are reputable. Two stars for U Maryland, really the star of this bunch. Also check with your local universities, as it's possible that they offer such a degree. In fact, if you can find it at your state's public colleges, that'll save you a lot of money, since you'll pay the in-state tuition rate.

Q: is the University of Missouri High School a good online school for going on to college?
I've looked at schools like Penn Foster and they seem to be like vocational type schools and I am really planning on going to college, If you know of another school that is online, PLEASE let me know.

A: I live in Missouri and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I have never personally used it though. Maybe try finding someone who is in the program to talk too. I bet a counselor could set you up with someone currently in the program who can explain the ups and downs.
