Q: Is state registration exam required in every state to present to the nursing schools?
I recently.. spoke with a student nurse. She told me that in WI and at her school, what is requested for nursing students is that you pass the class for CNA and get your school certificate. She said she did not.... have to go and get registered by the state for the school. So.. she didnt do it, because she did not want to work in that area while in nursing school.

A: Based on your statement and that of your acquaintance with the student nurse, not all states require registration.

Q: Are there any nursing schools in Connecticut that you can attend part time?
I need to find a nursing school that I can attend part time in Connecticut. I have 3 kids and not too much time but I really want to go to nursing school. Thanks in advance for your answers.

A: Perhaps one of the best allied health schools in CT is Quinnipaic. My friend just graduated there with her nursing degree and loved it. The only problem is that any science major will require alot of attention due to lab work. nursing is no exception. not sure about state schools in CT but thats what I know.

Q: Are there waiting lists for all nursing schools?
Every nursing school I've looked into has a waiting list. Does anyone know of any schools (maybe in ohio) that actually don't have a waiting list?

A: Try these links: http://www.muhlenbergschools.org/prospective_RN_faq.asp http://www.jsr.vccs.edu/curriculum/programs/NursingAAS.htm http://www.dmacc.edu/programs/nursing/faq.asp

Q: are there any good nursing schools in the Boise or Denver area where you dont have to pay out of state fees?
my wife and i want to move from california to boise so we can live cheaper and can afford for her to go to nursing school without having to live in a cardboard box. how long does it take until you are considered a resident and dont have to pay those fees and are there any good schools where you dont have to pay them?? thanks!

A: You should check and see if Idaho and Colorado and California, participate in the Western States Compact. That is an agreement amongst some states that says essentially that if you are a resident of any of the states in the compact, you do not have to pay out of state tuition, as long as you come from a participating state. It would be worth looking into.

Q: Do Nursing schools base their admissions on the NET composite percentage?
I got a 90 in math but 48 in reading. my composite percentage score is 69. are my scores enough to get accepted into nursing school?

A: No, anyone can get into a nursing program. The community college is probably the most inexpensive, but I don't know if it's the fastest route to becoming a nurse. It might take four years. It's worth it if that's what you'd like to do. The pay is a lot more than minimum wage too. It is no problem getting into a nursing program at a community college.

Q: Is there any nursing schools that would take me?
I applied to several nursing schools and just recently i got one rejection letter for the nursing program I have a 3.4 GPA though for my sciences I have some C's, B's, and A's but i had to retake it whenever i get a C i never failed a class though I also had one W. Is there any nursing schools that are easier to get in? Im looking at schools in the midwest or NY. I hope there's still hope. I want to be a nurse so bad

A: This site has helped me find a nursing school. They have nurses and students who answer questions. http://allnurses.com/http://www.molloy.edu/ Also they have LVN programs in NJ that can help you if you really want to test the field of Nursing. But if you are young the BS-RN path is the way to go. Since nursing is so competitive I’ve even looked at schools like: http://www.auamed.org/nursing/curriculum.html. Which is affiliated with CUNY Lehman Have you tried Molloy? http://www.molloy.edu/ It expensive, but they have more seats open. I have a low GPA so I opted to do the LVN. Then I will bridge to a RN program.

Q: Is it possblibe to complete nursing school in 9-10 months? Do you know any schools like this?

A: For an LPN / LVN degree, yes. But all RN programs are a minimum of 2 years - unless you already have your LPN/LVN, in that case there are some transition to RN programs that take about a year.

Q: Older Adult looking for Nursing Schools or Programs?
Does anyone know of any Nursing Schools that you can get your LPN license within a 12 month period? Also, what types of test does the schools give in order to be accepted?

A: Have you checked with your local community college? Also check your local teaching hospital, if there is one. Both can be excellent sources of relatively inexpensive LPN courses. After that, also look at any medical technology schools in your area. These tend to be private, and thus expensive.

Q: Are there any part time nursing schools in Atlanta?
I want to go to nursing school to become an RN. I have a BA degree.

A: There may be some. Call the local JC.

Q: Where are the good nursing schools?
I'm looking for a nursing school that can over a great education, financial aid and housing. A nursing school that can "offer" a good education, good financial aid and decent housing.

A: Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas has a good nursing program. You get your RN after three years instead of four, so you can already be working, getting paid REALLY well during your senior year, when you have less classes. Plus, the local hospitals work around your class schedule. There's a lot of financial aid available from the university, and the housing isn't that expensive, especially for how nice it is. It's a small school, but one of the best nursing programs in the area.
